Rescuers removed more than 100 dogs from horrible conditions on a Tylertown, Miss., property in a joint effort by the Walthall County Sheriff's Office, The Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
The people who run puppy mills should be forced to live like that.
Even though they are ass-holes I would like to point out that no one deserves this.

There's a special place in Hell for anyone who would do this to any animal: especially to an animal that wants nothing more than love and companionship. I just can't wrap my brain around why someone would want to own something (a dog) if it's just a burden to them and they're not gonna take care of it. Why not quit breeding dogs and get another job if you're not capable of taking care of the animals and just making them miserable in the process? God this shit pisses me off.

I am glad she said don't buy a pet from anyone who is breading animals, there are millions in shelters and millions of strays that will keep breeding so the country will never run out of pets. There is no purpose in intentionally breading pets any more.

Candide Thirtythree I actually bought my dog from a store in the mall I'm glad I got her and I love her to death but never will I ever buy another dog from that store or any of those stores knowing that I'm supporting that, back then I didn't know where she came from and now I do.

Once it got to the part about the Chihuahua mom even just being with her dead puppies made me cry, never mind the fact she is eating them just to survive. I can't believe people in the world would do this. Wether or not you hate an animal, this is never an answer, and if you get any pleasure of seeing animals caged in this condition, go lock yourself up in a cage barely big enough for you to hold yourself and see how it feels for a week, and only one meal every 2 days. They aren't even getting that much food. I sure hope you caught the stupid person who did this to these poor dogs.

They probably don't catch these people. Even if, they can't change what these poor souls had to endure anymore. I hope for a very happy future for EVERY animal, domesticated or not. The former owners are surely broke so all the tax payers finance a lawyer and also prison costs are covered by tax money. They lived off the animals and do the same somewhere else again or get caught, if not already. The Humane Society has enough rescues and I hope they rather spend the money on the animals than court. Maybe certain retired lawyers could do that.

I cried so hard watching this. My little pup was a puppy mill breeder and kenneled her whole. I adopted her when she was about 8, she was underweight, full of worms, and shaved due to mats. Now a little over a year later after lots of TLC she is happy and healthy. I will always adopt.
My pup was saved from a puppy mill, he is now well and in good conditions thanks to his rescue team!

I love my dog so much. And to see other animals treated like this breaks my heart. This has inspired me and if I get another dog, it will be from a shelter for sure!
I have a few questions. Actually, most of them are rhetorical, I already know the answer, but I find the answers ridiculous so I'm asking out of pure spite.
1. With these disgusting conditions, how do the pet store puppies look even remotely healthy?
2. Why are these pet stores, who buy from puppy mills, not shut down already? Why are just the puppy mills shut down? In my opinion, the stores are just as bad for lying through their teeth and still buying from puppy mills.
The pet store employees often don’t know that their from puppies mills for example I asked a pet store employee where the puppies are from she said something like oh a breeder in xyz and when I showed her where are the puppies really were from she cried and quit her job after basically telling the store owner that he is bs
It’s the same way with undocumented workers who get arrested and deported while the people who hired them go on with maybe a slap on the wrist. The way of the world.
The mothers and fathers, "the breeders" are the one's abused, the puppies are cleaned up and then sold.
Often the dogs aren't healthy.

I got my dog from a breeder when I was 5... Wouldn't trade her for anything if the world, but if I get another pet I'll be getting him/her from a terrible high-kill shelter that's a few miles away.

my grandma has had a Chihuahua for about 10 years and he is a giant love bug. To see other dogs in an environment like this makes me feel extremely emotional :(
Iowa is number 2 in commercial breeding puppy mills. Thanks for showing people where their dogs are coming from and helping shut these places down. This is all over our country.
Just remember, guys: if you keep buying your dogs at pet stores, this is what you support. Adopt, don't shop!
What about hamsters, lizards, birds, etc. I've never seen any of those at a shelter
What you see most of, at shelters, is types of animals whose overpopulation (overbreeding) is a problem. Which is dogs and cats. That doesn't mean other types of pets aren't adoptable from some shelters or specific rescue groups. If you go to PetFinder.com, you can find adoptable pets other than dogs and cats.

gutter sludge pet stores are just as bad for those small animals, especially reptiles. The type of care reptiles are subjected to at pet stores is almost always horrid
How to adopt
I adopted a beautiful British Longhair cat from the Humane Society. I adopted my maltese at age 4 yr old from a woman on craigslist who got her from someone at the largest flea market in Dallas. I’m so glad I have these animals . They’re my world.

I've always gotten my pets either from off the street or from an animal shelter. Had a golden retriever that was rescued from a testing lab. He was nine, and the people there had sawed his teeth off so he wouldn't hurt them if he tried to bite. The people at the shelter said that he would last maybe a year, and that his fur wouldn't grow back. He grew back too much fur and died in my arms at the ripe 'ol age of 21 when we were forced to put him down in August this year. I couldn't look at my shih-tzu when I was far younger when he was put to sleep, but I wasn't going to do the same mistake with the dog that had helped me through so much since I was 15. He was just now starting to fall apart despite his age. He was my happy, hyper sausage. I still miss him tremendously.
I have a dog that is a puppy mill rescue. She is truly a blessing in my heart. She sleeps under the blanket every night. She is a really very loving dog. These babies don't deserve this kind of treatment.

I've adopted 2 that were in a puppy mill. my first was dumped on a street and had what turned out to be fatal heartworm infection. She lived her last 9 months with me. my second has been a sweet boy that displays severe anxious behavior outdoors. I'm so thankful he is physically healthy.

All of my pets are rescue pets and i wouldnt trade any of them for a store bought. My most recent baby was rescued abondoned on the left shoulder of the freeway and was so amaceated he could barely walk... Now hes bouncy and and healthy and happy and has learned to swim for fun =))

I'm from Tylertown. I know this family personally. There are NO statutes, regulations or guidelines for breeding dogs or housing dogs in our state, our county or our town. If there had been , they'd have been followed. Yes, the conditions are deplorable. I have worked in rescue for years. But, the sad truth is - there are worse situations and they are not changed. Without regulation or guidelines for breeders, the conditions will only get worse. Thank you for what you've done for these dogs.
The great thing about adopting from shelters is that the animals know that you rescued them. I got my cat from the Humane Society, which is a really great place to adopt your animals from.
Thank you so much for caring enough to post this video telling people that this is the reality that these dogs face everyday. I love your videos because they are educating the world about the horrors of the Puppy Mill. I have friends who have asked "what is a puppy mill?" and I sent them the link to one of your puppy mill rescues. They were horrified.
I've saved all my dogs from shelters except for two. When I was in second grade I went to a pet store and would look at this chihuahua and she would just love people. I came back for 6 weeks deciding to buy her. I fell in love with her and my parents finally got her for Christmas. The other time was when I had recently moved to ny. My dad felt bad for this long haired chihuahua who was miss treated in a puppy mill. We bought him with in 11 minutes of being in the pet store. He was very nervous when we brought him home but he turned out to be one of the best dogs we ever had.
I have followed this all the way but have just watched the video today. I am literally in tears. I have one of the moms who is about ready to deliver and over and over we keep saying "I cant believe she was in the conditions they describe, she's so loving, so even tempered, so well behaved." The fact is, she was and I thank God for HSSM and all who stand firm to try and put a stop to this. We need to ban the sale of domestic animals for profit.
I got one of the sweeties from this mill. It was so sad to see the conditions they were in at the Humane Society in Gulfport. Most had heartworms, and other diseases. It just makes me wonder what kind of horrible person would do such a thing to these poor dogs. The dog I got is a 9-year-old long-hair black and white chihuahua. He's doing great now. I'm just so glad to have given him a home.
I cannot believe this, almost brings me to passing out. Thank you for saving these animals. This mill is just sickening like the rest of them.

these should be public service announcements so everyone HAS to watch...maybe more people would report them....I bought a puppy mill rescue he died three years later on my birthday...he gave me my first kiss the day before he died...the pain is still like yesterday even though it has been 4 years...I have a family of 3 now ...mom,dad and daughter...every time I feel sorry for myself about something in my life I come and watch these videos and snap out of my pity party really fast

Shine a light on it. Put it on the air. Talk to your elected officials. Yell, write letters. Then, donate, foster, rescue and adopt. There need to be stronger laws against puppy mills. Put the bastards out of business and make it impossible for them to go to another state and set up shop - AGAIN!!!!
People that run facilities like these or purchase puppies that were breed in these conditions, are demons in my opinion. If you treat a living breathing creature like this, then you're not a human being. Why? Simple: it means that you have no soul. I got my dog from a responsible breeder. He and his brothers were raised with love and care. When animals are being treated right, that's one of the things in this world that makes me happy the most. However, if they are being treated like this, in these damned facilities, it truly breaks my heart just by knowing places like this exist. If I knew of a place like that and I lived close by, then I would immediately call animal aid, so that they can give the poor fellas a second chance on life.

i thought they may be only ones keeping some from going extinction, minus ones not keeping them in sanitary or if too abusive not enough outside fresh air etc conditions..just need rules and to be up to code like adoption for kids is set up could be set up..where there are people to check up on them the puppy mills and to warn them they need to be up to code here or there and if not after a time, then maybe shut down..not just automatically illegal..because we should have freedom to do business we want, i didn't like how facebook makes it illegal to sell them on their site..wow infringing on peoples freedom..what if some mills are totally legit and run well..very unfair. what if your business was just banned everywhere cuz a few we're incompetant totally unrelatedly to you.wow. yeah not right. just have to be more organized..like don't other businesses get check ups from health inspectors, restuarants day cares i donno..should be set up like other bizzes are. that'd help to make sure safe for pets and people, so not adopting diseased abused animals and such
i wish they would not kill them and release them some nature area or something at least or get them adopted, shelters i hope get some fostered out at least? or should? i like when groups do that, thats so important to saving them i think, so cruel to kill any and why since lots of people want them and can't even find any sometimes they kill too many

I got one of my rabbits from behind a chocolate shop. I know it sounds bad, but actually the lady there took VERY good care of the rabbits, they had unlimited hay at all times and got fed three times a day at the same time, and the space they had was huge, about the size of a traditional living room and some more. All rabbits were in good heath, but a lot had disabilities and that's why they were taken in. One rabbit had seizures a lot and sadly passed away, but they've rescued a lot of rabbits.
I can't fathom how people can be so cruel to innocent animals entrusted with their care. Thank goodness for you folks!

some adoptable dogs are nice and purebred. sometimes owners give up their dogs when the can no longer take care of them. i’m planning to adopt a purebred white Shiba Inu that’s 10 months old next week.
@@taylorhession1905 Then shop from a reputable hobby breeder, someone who is typically competing with their dogs in the show ring and/or performance sports, someone who bothers to health tests their breeding stock. Dogs from puppy mills are at very high risk of illness and poor temperament. I'd sooner take my chances with a backyard breeder than with a petstore dog. Or go to breed rescue, orgs which specialize in placing dogs of specific breeds.

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and all of them were rescues from an NC mill. I had 2 others but one had tumor and another died of old age.

i have the highest respect for the restrained the rescue team has.I couldnt do this line of work.The anger i get from seeing this i would literly blind me and my common sense and i would end the lifes of those responsible.theese arent humans but monsters and i hope they will suffer twice as much as theese animals did. you want a animal to love get yourself a rescue animal.
It surprises me that these puppy mill dogs are so sweet and kind natured, giving what they have been trough. My grandfather tought me that a human can be measured by the way he or she treats animals. Poppy Fields I have heard of people like this getting caught and they only get up to like 2 and half years idk if it has changed but as of last time the one guy that they caught a while back ago a long while ago only got like 2 years and half

This is why I get all my pets from no kill animal shelters. I also get them from street corners where they were dumped. I then find good homes for them.
It's this kind of horror, that despite having a naturally weak stomach and strong emotions I'm going to college to help these poor creatures. I can push through, I can deal with whatever I have to if it means that they get a better life after all this. God bless these little loves in earthly damnation

SOOOO proud of my home state for treating animals this way. NOT! Every time I see or hear something like this, I want to run straight home and hug my rescue girl Shadow really tight.
