Who Adopted the Beagles Rescued From Breeding Facility?

- All 4,000 beagles rescued from a lab and breeding facility in Virginia were adopted. When the facility shut down last July, all the pups were sent to animal shelters across the nation by the Humane Society of the United States. Now, all of those beagles finally have homes. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry adopted one of the beagles, who's a happy camper at their California estate. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and his wife, Tammy, also adopted one of the beagles named Morty.

One of the humane societies I volunteer with got 48 of the beagles. They named them after states and they were all adopted in the first week.
I'm a veterinarian in San Diego and just saw one of these beagles for an exam this week! Super sweet boy and an awesome new home!
I adopted one of the Envigo beagles a few weeks ago!!! She has PTSD symptoms, startles very easily, but she's doing very well, loving being free. 🥰

We put our beagle mix Marlee to sleep after 14 wonderful years with her on the same day these babies were rescued. I saw the news after we got home from the vet… I cried, the coincidence is so unreal. It’s like she set them free ❤
What a heart wrenching story those poor dogs went through. I can't believe what some people do to these poor dogs Thank you to the people who not only rescued these beagles but gave them forever homes.
So happy they found forever homes that can hopefully treat them like great companions!

I have heard horror stories about the beagle abuse labs. I am surprised there isn't a documentary on Netflix about this one to wake people up who don't know about what's truly going on right here in our own neighborhoods!!!!

Thank you for adopting the beagles I had one when we were younger living in Orient they're very loving companions and very understanding they also know when you're down and you're crying they're right there for you there's sweet they're TLC love from them is what you give them they give back in return all they want to be is Love by everyone the same way they love you they're all thankful that they were not euthanized or put down and that they all went to good homes I am so proud of everyone who stepped up to get a vehicle they're sweet and down to earth beagles they will always be there for you they love the water they love to swim and they love to wrestle with all family members they love to sleep next to you like a child their attention seekers just like anyone else but they love to play in yards and they'll chase you if you play well with them and they like their toys and their beds feeling comfortable secure and safe with new families this makes me cry because I have not seen so many people love beagles as I have when I was younger it's a happy cry because I was worried that they wouldn't have home now I know they're a lot more people just like me who loves beagles thank you so much for answering the prayers of eagles needing homes this is a God's blessing that they were safe from the lab they should have been fine for what they were doing to bagel puppies and the animals it's not acceptable behavior of cruelty they should have been put up on charges I hope that they shut this down in permanently so that no one will ever do this to a vehicle again not ever I still say they should send jail time they're like children all they want to be is love and a new home and they got it thank you so much you all answered the prayer you're a God blessing thank you thank you they're real good animals and so loving God bless everyone who went in and got a bagel may God be with all of you and your big loving pups thank you so much

I’m on the list to adopt one in the future, but the waiting list is soooo long for beagles.
How does one go about adopting one? My neighbor is a 77 year old veteran who’s been telling me he’s been wanting one or two(so its not too lonely) for the longest time. I’ve been wanting to surprise him with one but I don’t have the finances to purchase one from a “breeder”.

This is a beautiful and wonderful happy ending fairy tale…as I have an E N V I G O rescue beagle, but the story doesn’t end there.
We need to continue being a voice for the thousands of animals still in these breeding facilities as well as laboratories.

Some of the Beagles that were rescued came to my state & I wish I had the money to get one of them because I have a Beagle mix. It would of been nice for my dog to have a brother or sister who is a purebred version of her.

Wow great job to all the rescues involved, 4000 adoptions is huge! Thank the stars it wasn't PETA "rescuing" them, they would've all been put down. Keep that in mind when your donating to animal rescues. Small, no kill shelters need all the help they can get.

Wish I could’ve adopted one! My first dog as an adult out in my own is a beagle schnauzer mix from an Alabama puppy mill I named Willow❤️ I got her when I was 18 and I am now 22 almost 23 in November and Willow will be 5 this coming april!

4K?! So do we know which company was behind this?
Even if just one company owned the facility, it's likely that dozens of well-known brands payed for testing of their products/ingredients at this facility, including dog food companies. It's a trip.

Testing like this should be more tightly regulated the company that tested on these animals and profited off of them should have to pay for boarding and rehoming fee all 4,000 animals..
