I pulled over to fix something on my car and it's sitting in my passenger seat, police officer pulled over to see if I needed help by the time I shut the hood he had already walked by the window and saw it. I asked him if I could chuck it across the train tracks and beyond my way because I was on my way to work, nope. I go to court expecting to get on probation or whatever and I end up going to jail for a day. I get into the booking and the guy asked me how much I got caught with and I told him what it was and he literally didn't make me change out of my clothes. He said go pick an open cell and we'll feed you and let you know when you can leave.
That's one my white privilege moments. I understood that if I was any other race, I likely would have gotten a lot longer. The fact that I would even get a day is a joke, being able to have that stuff off my record means literally I have no criminal record. I really hope Virginia follows suit

I think it’s great that you give this topic so much attention. Our society is still in the dark ages on how we treat people who want to experience an altered state. Locking people up for using or possessing drugs is the same as locking up people for believing different things, or holding opinions that society finds dangerous. Of course, as you explained, that is exactly what it was created for. Even for harder or “dangerous” drugs, the idea that drugs are a law enforcement issue, and not completely a health issue is insanity.

We're in the dark ages about how foreign nations control other countries and peoples - through drugs.
The reason we have seen such a surge in illegals coming in thru Mexico?
Is because Obama opened us up to Mexico? Just so he cld hurt the cartels - and boy did H Sec ever put the hurt on the cartels! Whooee. Big time.
Trump slammed the door shut on them, the cartels were going nutz trying to re.establish their drug system into and through the u.s.
Thus did we see the surge in illegals, and drugs, too.
Well. If the overthrow of America is done with? Permanently? H Sec is going to get tasked w irs work and more advanced drug work, too.
If it's temporary? Then H Sec is going to be tasked w doing much more of the dirty work for the overthrow.
Basically? I see at the heart of this schema?
Biden + Dems want that win so bad? In next election?
Dems & Biden decided to push to destroy America, to feather their nests w more $$$ and more power via drugs - To the detriment of America's citizens....
Looks nicey nice on the surface?
Just remember? Drug laws can be installed, tightened up, loosened and demolished?
Laws can be made tighter w DEATH SENTENCES - in the snap of a finger.
      How feds work:
      1. Give em all they want? Then jerk it away & wait for arrests to fall into fed's hands like ripe plums off a tree.
      2. Divide n conquer.
      3. Confuse. Design ops that work on several levels.
This? W Biden? I see as classical case of #1 and #3.

Some call it tampee, tampee, Some call it the weed
Some call it marijuana, marijuana, Some of them call it ganja, ganja
Every man got to legalize it, and don't criticize it, Legalize it, yeah, yeah, and I will advertise it
Singers smoke it' And players of instruments too
Legalize it, yeah, yeah' That's the best thing you can do
Doctors smoke it, nurses smoke it, Judges smoke it, and even the lawyer too
So you've got to legalize it, and don't criticize it, Legalize it, yeah, yeah, and I will advertise it
It's good for the flu, a good for asthma, Good for tuberculosis, even umara composis
Got to legalize it, don't criticize it, Legalize it, yeah, yeah, I will advertise it
Birds eat it, ants love it
Fowls eat it, goats love to play with it
So you've got to legalize it, don't criticize it
Legalize it, yeah, yeah, and I will advertise it
Keep on telling you, legalize it
Peter Tosh and numerous others took a lot of battering from the Jamaican police long before Jamaica moved to decriminalize its use and stop following the US in its war on drugs approach to the plant that offers so many medicinal benefits to mankind, glad that the Biden administration took this bold step pardon offender who are still languishing in US prison.

California newspaper mogul Randolf Hurst wanted hemp banned since it competed with his pine forest paper making forests. The first dollar bills were made of hemp paper. Cannabis was traded in the Steppe region 5000 yrs ago. We are still coming out of a serious Dark Age. It was not about the drug but the paper: and yes racism and general cultural bigotry and biomedical ignorance. Hemp is one of the most valuable plants on earth. In ancient Ayurveda it is given as "Siddhi" to pregnant women for pain. It does not cause birth defects unlike legal tobacco alcohol and yes caffeine, food dyes, sugar etc. The Hemp Plant is ecological and used for paper, cloth, medecine, edible protein, cooking and machine oil, animal feed etc. Time to take the world back from insane leaders and religious bigots.

    “If opioids are more addictive”
And why is tobacco and alcohol legal when they are more addictive than heroine?

    • @mkself3231
      @mkself3231 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Because tobacco and alcohol are not more addictive than heroine. Your body becomes addicted much quicker to heroine, your body develops a depency. Plenty of people drink and never become addicted.

Exactly... I tried for 39 years to get out from under the tobacco addiction that had gripped me for a total of 42 years. Finally, with the help of my GP and a pharmaceutical designed for just such a purpose, I have now been free of my former addiction for 18 months... and I've saved an absolute motza, considering the average price of a pack of 40 durries was $65 when I stopped. So far I've saved approximately $12,600, but spent a lot of it on doing things I couldn't afford when I was smoking. Plus I feel so much better, and my asthma has been a whole lot less active, so winning all 'round... 🙃🐨

I grew up as a teenager in the 1980's, and those drug ads made me laugh and guess what? I did drugs anyway. And all that talk about pot being a "gateway" drug, were moot, considering alcohol is WAY more of a gateway drug, and readily available in some form in the vast majority of American homes. I started at 12 years old, at a friend's house where there was a full bar, and the parents were out for the day. 7th grade.

We have a very serious problem in the united states with addictions.
      Alcohol, drugs, behaviors.
Our children & grandchildren carry family sicknesses in that area, forward.
Its always interesting to note children are not clones. If dad is an alcoholic? And in denial about his drinking so severe he's become delusional? The problem is kids prolly won't drink? But kids'll engage in *other behaviors w addiction & denial-delusion properties.
And thus does the family disease of addictions continue.
Outlawing may help?/legalising drugs may harm ppl? We need to get better at dealing w this stuff across the board sooner. This was a major bribe, in advance, to obtain your vote.
If you want to be like arredondo? Accept the Dem's bribe ;)

The thing is the private prison system. When corporations own and operate all the prisons in the USA, They get paid with tax dollars, which we pay for. They get paid $1800.00 a DAY for each bed whether someone is in it or not, so the states make sure those beds are full to justify the money being paid. How much do they actually spend on the prisoners? $50 a day maybe $100? So who do they fill the prisons with? DRUG ADDICTS because of "tough love" we have all been programmed to believe is best when dealing with a loved one or family member struggling with drug addiction. We shut them out, cut them off, and turn our backs on them. So that when the court throws them in prison no one says anything about it. Because even their loved ones have given up on them! Do you see? It's all by design! It's sick and has to change. I'm thankful for this attention to this problem in the US, We put more people in prison for longer sentences than ANY other country in the world! Check out Portugall and how they legalized drugs and let everyone out of prison. Theirs a TED TALK about it that's really good. Are we the land of the FREE? NO we are now THE CORPERATE STATES OF AMERICA! Wake up America vote for progressive candidates in elections it's are only hope of getting corruption out of government.
