- A group of Congressional Democrats are joining forces in an effort to fight the far-right initiative known as Project 2025. Project 2025 is a policy plan to be enacted if Donald Trump returns to the White House -- crafted by the right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation and several former Trump administration officials. "Sunlight is the best disinfectant”, says Oversight member Democratic Representative Ayanna Pressley. She joins Ali Velshi to discuss her role in a new initiative to fight Project 2025 and why voters need to listen carefully to what the initiative’s creators are saying. “These extremists do not make threats, they make promises.”

Koch Brothers made billions in a democracy. Now they want a Fascist dictatorship ending Democracy.
It goes back to their publication, “No Excuses” that highlighted the educational successes of inner city kids. The far leftists got wind of it and “killed” it with a flood of political rhetoric, as usual. And we’ve never recovered.
They are afraid of 2040. They are a sanitized face of white supremacy and I wish analysist would say that.
It is even more scary that so many Americans are willing to give a way they're freedom.
Those Americans do not realize how much they benefit from the current policies that we have, and when those policies are taken away, they have no clue how much harm it will do to their lives. They will be in for a rude awakening.

Americans are already doing that. About 30% of Americans are participating in a watch program. That stalks Americans citizens 24hrs a day. I was invited to participate in the program 3 times. I declined. This program pays citizens to watch their neighbors. The majority of those participating in the program work from home and have American flags in their front yards. And its just not one group or race of people. All races participate and lots of immigrants. If you don't know about the program. The odds of this group monitoring you is over 50%. The group start out victimizing people with AIDS and STDs. They are know to blow horns, passby their victims yelling at them. These individuals have sold their souls. Keep and eye on them... they are taking the American people freedom away from them.

It's quite frankly a horror story. It needs to be stopped. Period.
I had a grand daughter that was born she died 6 days later. We were told she would not live long for medical reasons. No one ended her life she passed in her mother and father’s arms. These people that say this insane thing about aborting babies after birth are insane. That would be called murder. For the love of all that is good stop these people.

I love that representative Pressley is not ashamed of her Alopecia and doesn’t wear wigs to hide it. The autoimmune disease affects 7 million Americans and it is emotionally devastating, especially to women and little girls.

If Project 2025 is enacted then situations like what’s happening with Boeing will become normal in all industries.
The safety issues with Boeing came about because cuts to the FAA has resulted in lack of staff and capacity at the FAA to sufficiently over see airworthiness at Boeing. So the FAA delegated some airworthiness oversight to Boeing, but the FAA still didn’t have enough staff after the 2018 cuts. Boeing put profits over safety and cuts to the FAA meant that government regulators didn’t have enough oversight of Boeing to catch the problems.
This will happen in any and every industry that has federal oversight if the non partisan government workers are replaced with political appointees.

I think most people believe it is so absurd that many people believe it could never happen. When the UK had the Brexit referendum lots of people warned of the many problems that were going to occur and those that wanted to leave the EU based on a false belief that UK laws were being made by the EU wouldn't believe the many things they were warned of. Now those same people are horrified that the things they were warned about are happening yet still won't believe that it is due to us leaving the EU or they blame the EU for not giving us the benefits that we had when we were members such as avoiding customs checks on goods.

Why has it taken so long for us democrats to make this 2025 project visible to the public? I have known about it for 6 months, it is frightening and yet it is just now coming to the forefront only 4 months before the election. It seems tragic to me that so few people even known about what would happen to them and all of us if trump gets elected.
The sad thing is even apart from this specific project, the GOP has been openly telling us about this vision for 30 years now.

During the entire trump presidency, from January 2017 until January 2021, a total of 63 U.S. military service members lost their lives in the war in Afghanistan. 45 surrendered to the Taliban and released 5000 enemy prisoners while our troops were still fighting in Afghanistan.
