Bobby was said to be one of the nicest people one would ever hope to meet, and he did have it all: great voice and looks, star athlete in high school, and had that "All-American" blond California look. But, Bobby discovered cocaine, and that became his downfall, as his agent and co-Righteous Bros star, Bill Medley, were concerned that Bobby didn't show up for a sound check before playing a show that night, and they entered his hotel room and found the singer had died in his sleep in his hotel room bed. I heard it differently. He had an undiagnosed heart condition, a pretty bad one, and he was having trouble with his energy so he used cocaine.
