This has been considered as the greatest (Live) television performance ever in the history of entertainment television. This great performance by both, the late great "Bobby Hatfield" from the 'Righteous Brothers' and the NBC Orchestra of "The Andy Williams Show (1965)." Has been watch by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
Never has an orchestra and singer be so in tuned with one another than in this performance (58) years ago. Brilliant!

This song was written in 1955 for a movie called "Unchained". Hundreds of people have recorded this song but it will always and forever be Bobby Hatfield's song. NOBODY can sing this as Bobby did. Bobby passed away in 2003 just weeks after The Righteous Brothers were inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame. Check out his "Ebb Tide" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". Bill Medley is the other half of this duo. They each sang solos in their performances. This was live. No second takes. No auto tunes. He had a cold and his parents were in the audience. No pressure.

His beautiful sound was known in the 60's as "blue-eyed soul". His voice draws out emotions now, almost 60 years later, as much as it did then. Your reaction is priceless!!!

Hundreds of singers have done this song but none better than Bobby Hatfield. The studio version was in the film 'Ghost' and was great but this live version is stupendous. No auto tune or gimmicks just pure talent. He had a cold, his mother was in the audience listening to him sing professionally for the first time and he suffered from stage fright.

I'm from that era and Bobby Hatfield was one of the greatest singers of all time, don't forget this was a live performance and he had a cold this night and he had his Mum in the audience watching him perform live for the first time, the greatest live performance of all time, Rip Bobby

Luv your reactions. I was 17 in 1965. You can imagine how the girls reacted to this live performance by Bobby Hatfield and anything this duo did. This song was the B side of a 45 but DJs liked it and it charted twice. Oddly this performance was better than the studio cut. Check out 'You'll never walk alone' to hear how they harmonize their voices as a duo.

Bobby Hatfield's superb vocals on "Unchained Melody" along with the house orchestra is considered one of the best live performances ever . He puts so much emotion into the lyrics. Hear both brothers blend their soulful voices on the TV show videos of Shindig & Hullabaloo singing "You Lost that loving feeling" & "Soul and Inspiration". Another one by both of them is "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the Ed Sullivan Variety Hour.

Great reaction! Thank you for only interrupting the song once. I just watched another reaction video to the same song and the dear lady who was reacting interrupted the song AT LEAST a dozen times. Please check out BOTH Righteous Brothers' (not really brothers) You'll Never Walk Alone - you won't be disappointed! Bill Medley (the other 'brother') has a very contrasting baritone voice but they harmonize magically..
