Those extremely high note at the end I believe is Cesar. He has done this in Dream on & We Don't Talk about Bruno. He also does a high whistle note in the Lion Sleeps Tonight & one of the songs they sang at the concert with Chicago . I hope to hear more of his high notes & whistle notes in more songs. Cesar is a force to be reckoned with.
This song is collected in a railjack quest, that is group quest, so i had no idea this was in the game even though it was released in 2019. At least I thoughtb it was a group quest. Turned out I was just fine on my own. So much for putting it off for two years lol
I never knew I needed "space shanties" to be a thing. Call Disney, it's time to make a live-action "Treasure Planet." This really gets stuck in your head.
VoicePlay and Omar were invited to join Chicago and Friends in Nov 17-18 after Chicago heard VP's Nothing Else Matters (Metallica). I've been listening to this since Friday noon. I woke up this morning with it running through my head. I glad you noted that Layne was so busy doing the beat while walking around checking out helmets and all. I hadn't realized that he was doing that. This is a great space shanty. The studio they were in had the really giant 4K LED screens. Some of the photos on those screens seemed to be processed Hubble and Webb photos. This is so cool.
Oh boy!!! I’m always so happy when I see that you’ve posted a reaction to something I really love. I also love that you caught those lovely arpeggios behind Cesar’s solo. Wonderful reaction as always!!
This was an absolutely fantastic (OK, out of this world) performance by VP! It is so engaging, foot tapping, move worthy, and *harmonious*! Great reaction and analysis. MB
As an added advantage to their higher tier patrons (those who's names you see at the end) they are now offering part dominant tracks if you want to hear things from a clearer perspective. 🤫
@janetdw if you didn't notice, Layne sings when the drums aren't going. That's not part of the drum only karaoke track. 🫣 Tbh, it's really a cool bonus though 😎
Another great VoicePlay cover. If you get the chance listen to the original from the game. Imagine this song playing during a special fight scene dealing with what seemed a ghost spaceship. Probably not getting that part quite right, but you get the idea. All the songs from Warframe are worth listening too. I'd love to hear VoicePlay do "We All Lift Together" from Warframe.
They accidentally released just Layne’s beatboxing track to us (patrons) when they gave us the karaoke track and that’s what they put over the end credits!
Check out all VoicePlay reactions 😊 :

This is such an ear worm. I just can’t stop hearing it. Layne and Geoff are out of control.
Me as well, they are all so incredible artists!

A space shanty!? Who knew we needed this? So goooooood! 🔥 You're the best QoFy! 🩵💙
🥰‼️
According to my keyboard app, Eli hit a G5 on his last note... just wow.
Cesar hit that high note at the end.
Space Shanties..a whole new genre and leave it up to Voice Play to give it life…wonderful reaction…loved it all☺️❤️‼️

Wonderful reaction as always!!
Thank you for your continued support and appreciation ☺️‼️
I think they're just playing with us at this point. Their alien abilities are showing through....
I love their caption during the credits, too.
Ah, that's why they did the video the way they did. They were starting to miss home!
Omar, Eli and Cesar. It's like a modern version of Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras.
When I lay down to sleep, this runs in my head. Great reaction and great song.
They performed with Chicago for their 55th Anniversary Celebration of their first album.
I think it is just to say: "We all love them all!" 😂🎉❤

Great reaction and analysis.

Loved it, great reaction 🔥🥰
🥰‼️
smooth fi-reah 🔥🎤 ♥️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love that you placed Cesar as Soprano when he's credited Baritone. They all have such amazing ranges!
Very nice reaction. I really don't know what to say else. The song was cool, the video was cool and Layne has finally left orbit with this one.
☺️‼️
The bass is incredible.
0:46 You can see the straightness being pulled out of his body lmao

Is that how we accidentally got the “karaoke” track made up just of the percussion?? It was a revelation If just how crazy the perc is.

It’s soooo good ❤
Love this. They are so good at this kind of thing.
❤❤❤❤
This one is my new favorite!
Definitely one of my favorites by them.
The rhythm in this one is so catchy it just plays in a loop for me. Should be doing better than it is. This is epically good
think I need more space shantys

So what do they need to do in rhythm(like towing ropes on a ship) in a spaceship to need a space shanty.

I don't know the game this is from, and it doesn't matter.
I don’t know if you reacted to the original it’s Cold Bellow from Warframe. Warframe a video game btw and it has absolutely amazing music.
🔥🧊👾🧊🔥- Any self respecting game needs space bards 😉
