This is why I keep saying my favorite VoicePlay song is ‘The Next One’. I was fooled by this one. Usually I can tell if Geoff or Layne was the arranger but I got it wrong this time. I also love that they all got a part to really shine and show off. Waiting (im)patiently for the day they get to do an entire new game soundtrack themselves.
Geoff "Be Low" Castellucci, Cesar the Sassy Space Wench, Eli the Intergalactic Pirate who is wanted in 12 systems, Omar is like the cabin boy with the voice of an angel who is secretly a Siren from Sagittarius VI, and Layne is the engine of this spaceship rocketing them into the cold depths between solar systems in search of treasure.
I’ve been waiting for this video. I always love your reactions/analysis. Almost no one else mentioned Geoff’s “Hooh”. I see you love it as much as I do! Eli and his belts, always the best. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Wonderful reaction despite being under the weather - hope you get to feeling better soon, Jen! Oh, this is a definite ear-worm - it's in there and stuck but good for me! I though you would enjoy Geoff's "Huh!" It's almost becoming as signature for him as "C'mon!" I was surprised when I saw that this was Geoff's arrangement - from the amount of time Geoff spent singing lead vocals and going "down below", I originally though it was Layne's. I'm going to give up trying to figure out who does the arrangements and just sneak a peek, from now on. I really like how much "counter motion", or "contrary motion", or whatever the phrase is describing how Geoff would be taking the bass line down into the basement, while the harmonies would be raising up into the stratosphere - especially that last one, where they went (to paraphrase Peter Barber) "stupid high!"
I loved the analysis of this song. The guys are just so talented and it's always fun to hear someone that knows what they're talking about let us know what they are doing with their "instruments". I never heard this before they released it and now I can't get enough of it!
"La, la, la. Hi! I'm Jen!" 😂 This one is such an earworm! I keep walking around the house shouting, "Sisters! Below, below!" And then a phantom Omar just goes off in my head. ANYHOO... ❤🔥
You're the only reactor i've seen that noticed or mentioned Cesar's oddball eyes. When i first saw the video, i thought 'of course Cesar picked odd eyes' - i love it! Moving to a higher sustained pitch whilst keeping the larynx relaxed is an amazing practise in patting the head and rubbing the belly. It takes a lot of practise-practise-practise to get used to the feel of it and how to accomplish it so that it becomes automatic.
I have awakened every morning since they did this one with it running through my brain - so catchy. I love it. Your analysis really was helpful when you were talking through the cold (code) and how it all worked with the twang. I still need more info on how you make twang happen.
@@JenniferGlatzhofer It was Cesar who hit the super high note at the end just as he did in Dream on & he hit the highest note at the end of We Don't Talk About Bruno just before Ashley did.. Did you happen to catch his whistle notes when Laying was playing the violin & his ending note in The Lion Sleeps Tonight ? Cesar is a force to be reckoned with & I'm glad they are letting him get a chance to show it. Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. Get well soon Jennifer ❤
Hope you feel better soon Jen. Even under the weather you still give a great reaction. This is a really good song for Voiceplay and having Omar was a good idea. Geoff always gives me bone rattling low notes and Eli and Caesar ha ve such awesome high notes. Really enjoyed this one
Oh God, Jen, your facial reaction to Eli’s high belt was pure gold! And this is a great song. It’s been brought to my attention that Alina Gingertail has done a cover of this song, which is also quite interesting.
Jennifer! Love the green fingernails! Pretty! Spring-like! 😊Voiceplay ... this promises to be good. Surely there will be some low notes, right? 😁 Uh, yeah, not even 2 minutes in and Geoff has Jen making a funny face. 😂 LOL, at 12:06 we all knew you had to try to imitate Lane's sound effects. Nailed them as usual! This one was fun ... at first it made me think a bit of a sea shanty but clearly this is space oriented with the stunning backgrounds! Great reaction and analysis as always Jen.
for reference on the context of the song itself: the character who sings this in the game where this song is from basically was in a space accident and she floated amidst the bodies of her sisters and other crew mates who froze to death due to the vacuum of space for several days and in the trauma/survivors guilt/all the other things: she imagined that they sang this song to her. th-cam.com/video/-EtOAaK19bA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=E__g4GpzstJD6ua4
I love this cover. I have tried to play Warframe, but Skyrim is more my speed. Layne is a beatboxing beast in this cover. YAY!!! It's a space shanty!! Lol. This cover is absolute fire. Great reaction Jen!
@Jennifer Glatzhofer "Sleeping In The cold Below" is from a Video Game called "Warframe." In "Warframe," you play as a Space Samurai. Most people classify this song as a "Space Shanty."
@@JenniferGlatzhofer I swear, that is the thing I hear now whenever I listen to this song, and I love it! ❤️ And we are all cheering you on as Layne's aprentice! :)
So far I noticed Lang has violet eyes, Ceasar and Omar both have one blue eye and one green eye, Geoff had hazel eyes I think, Eli is blue. Great reaction Jen. Feel better 💗
I know at the end of the day, it really does not matter. But this song is from a game called Warframe, which is why it seems futuristic and spacefaring. Without going into details, my kids described this game as 'Space Ninjas'.
Hi Jen! Long time watcher first time commenter here. I used to be subscribed to several voice teachers on TH-cam, but I've since dropped everyone but you. Just love your vibe and take on music. Keep up the great work. I really think you should react to and analyze Voiceplay and Home Free covering Survivor. It is a banger, and highlights both groups wonderfully. Hope you get well soon. Cheers!
I also walk around the house singing this but one of our cats is Theo, so it’s “the cold theo, sleeping in the cold theo.” No worries, Theo doesn’t sleep in the cold. He sleeps under the covers or on top of me.
Now you need to listen to some of the other Warframe songs. Particularly Colm McGuinness's covers of this song, We All Lift, and For Narmer. And (spoilers for the game I guess) two of the songs are written to fit on top of each other, which is really cool (I have a video of just the combined audio from his covers of those songs panned to the sides so you can hear both at once, if you're curious. I just love the effect, and nobody else had combined his covers, so I decided to :))
If someones already explained it sorry but, Warframe is a videogame, the original is a space shanty sung in game...in my case a lot lol, very earworm song especially when one of the characters skins plays the instrumental version of this in game while playing as their alternate form
C'est vraiment dommage de couper les chansons en plein milieu il faut d'abord réagir et ensuite réécouter est analysée... Sinon j'aime beaucoup votre chaîne❤
I adore Jen's teaching / notebook moments. It enhances my appreciation for this great earworm song. #VoicePlay brought it here!

You should write that fanfic, I would read it for sure ! 😂
Jen is one of my favorite people on the internet!
If she isn't, then you aren't a good judge of character. She's Fantastic
Absolutely!❤
"That's just because I love Eli"
A whole mood honestly.

I love Laynes smirk when he sounds like a robot. His sound effects are just so creative
This one took a lot of people by surprise - and it's totally awesome! Great reaction and analysis as always, Jen! 🥰Can't get it out of my head now!
Wow!!! High Energy! High Notes! Takeoff!! Brilliant and addictive. Great analysis!

Feeling better already, thanks!! Ahaha love it 😁
Don't forget Geoff's "Yeah!"
This has been in my head ever since I heard it the first time on Patreon. It is so fun, catchy, creepy, and glorious. Voiceplay is the best!!

Let's advocate for our wonderful Jen to join Laine ,you would rock it and bring much needed glamour to voiceplay.
Geoff: "Below? Why yes, I can!" (Aw, c'mon, you KNOW I'm gonna say it! Type it. Whatever...)
OMG UR FACE AND EYES WHEN ELI HIT THE HIGH "BELOW"😂😂😂❤❤
Great reaction, Jen!! Yes, this one has turned into an earworm for a LOT of people. usually they get annoying after awhile but I don’t mind this one.
Eli is my favorite
I love how the LED screens that Eli designed will match up with the vocals. Another awesome reaction
I was in SUCH a mood and your reaction was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

It's not just Cesar with the odd eyes. He split contacts with Omar, so they have the same eyes, just opposite.

Even though it is definitely an earworm, I don't mind because it is such a joyful tune. I hum/sing it now while I do household chores.
I love how when Geoff's voice goes down, your eyebrows go up! I think that happens to most of us.
As always, great video, you are the woman with the eternal smile, that makes our day, thank you Jen
love your reaction jen thank you and voiceplay are amazing every time
Yessssss SPACE SHANTY let's go, voiceplay! 😂💜
This is 100% pure Voiceplay "A Game" right here.
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Love the first few seconds 😃 Huh!
We'd love you to join Layne too 😃
This track is definitely a real earworm, great analysis again Jen, thanks 😊
Haha thank you!

I think this is the video where it really hit me about how much goes through your mind when you are listening to a song for the first time! Wow!
Every one that has heard it is singing it all the time....Space shanty earworm of the first order.

Hahaha epic!!!
New genre dropped... space shanty
And next, Boyband, Warframe's music team is crazy and I love it
Yes please
Thanks, Jen! Great reaction and analysis!

Yes, yes, yes!
Feeling under the weather but looking amazing as always. And 1 million pauses later we got there. To end of 1st minute of the song. Lol 😂
Great reaction to "sleeping in the cold pillow" 😂
😂🙈
😂
I love this cover. I have tried to play Warframe, but Skyrim is more my speed. Layne is a beatboxing beast in this cover. YAY!!! It's a space shanty!! Lol. This cover is absolute fire. Great reaction Jen!
You never disappoint young lady! I love how you attempt different notes and. runs and even beatboxing. Keep doing what you do.

🎉❤❤❤ Yay 😁 I so enjoy watching you react to voiceplay🎉
It’s weird hearing a sea shanty like this
So far I noticed Lang has violet eyes, Ceasar and Omar both have one blue eye and one green eye, Geoff had hazel eyes I think, Eli is blue. Great reaction Jen. Feel better 💗
I've been seeing that the reason Cesar has two different contact colors is that he and Omar swapped one so they could go twinsies.

Voiceplay's cover is fun, but my all-time favorite is still Alina Gingertail's version.
i cant see them yet so ill say it.... Geoff ''below'' yes i can

Is this going to be on the test? Cause i didn’t take any notes. 😂😂😂😂😂❤
Voiceplay really uses contrary motion to great effect....Geoff goes down, the others go up. Originally this is sung by female singers.
There are males in the background of the original version.
comments "below", you say?😆
Pls react to their frozen medley!!
Wasnt it the opening from Frozen 1 or 2
😊

You talk too much and yet constantly repeating yourself 😑
