    I heard you mention the rivers in and around Chicago. That unit you have would work great on our Pecatonica river.

      Ron schreiber thanks. The canoe is a 72 Sears. With those floats it's bad to the bone. Live in Illinois...wish there were better places to take it..

    Ain't it fun to Make a Canoe into something more usable.... I've gone a lot farther with my modifications. It's all about what you want to create and how much you're willing to spend! I'm going to see If you have more video's now.....Checkout My Channel.....Enjoy Buddy!

    ok i do not understand why people put them outriggers on you might as well get a jhon boat. i went 180 miles on a canoe. canada boundry waters never had that shit lol

      It depends on what you want to do with the canoe. Sure you don't have to add the outriggers but it makes the canoe more capable. Without then you are limited in the amount of movement without risking tipping over. When you have a motor and battery you don't want to risk tipping. It's a lot more relaxing when your not so focused on stat ng within the capability of the canoe without them.

    When you're ready to step up to a higher volume, more efficient outrigger, check out Expandacraft. A bit more money but a lot more flotation.
