Pretty sweet , I've a real real old trolling motor probably 1955 but works great with big marine battery . I used aluminum crutches with big bumpers for stabilizers then I put one 20 watt solar panel on and i haven't had any problem going out all day but ya that's sweet setup .
Very nice set up. The wife and I are getting ours decked out and it's starting to look much like yours. These bad boys are a lot easier to haul than my old bass boat, their much cheaper, and I can take it anywhere!
It is vital to have an anchor in a canoe! I use 2 for windy days so coanoe doesnt sway. As for mounting the seats, i built small platforms and glued n screwed them to the original seats. Then mounted the swiveling boat seats to the platforms.
Nice Setup. I got a Coleman Scanoe too. The only thing I've done so far is rigged the wires to go to the front of the canoe and put battery in the front when i'm by myself. The canoe is a pain when there is wind and still takes a lot of work with the trolling motor to get the position you want because I don't have an anchor setup yet. I might end up mounting some boards like you did to help stabilize the gunnel because mine is bent already from traveling in back of my truck. :(
Nice job. Although my Pelican Bayou has a square stern, I built a side mount for my electric motor. With a bass pro seat in it, I'm sitting nice and straight with great back support and don't have to twist around for the motor.
I realize this is an old video but where and how many cleats did you have attached to this set up? Also why did you choose to side mount them as apposed to on top of the gunwale? Just trying to get some ideas for my own set up. Thanks!
Can you make a video showing yall on the water. I would like to see how stable it is. I'm thinking about putting two canoe together. Unless I can make a great stable system for my canoe.
How did you mount your seat to the plastic seat? Right now I'm using a cheap fold chair that has the metal brackets that fits a jon boat but it fits the seat ok if I use something to keep it steady like a cord, but it has hardly no back support so a long trip of fishing kills the back. I want a cushion bass seat like yours with higher back support but I'm a little nervous about the gravity being higher up on the canoe, it's very easy to tip. Let me know. Thanks.
I built an outrigger for my scanoe also not as pretty as yours but I just clamp a 2x4 across the boat where I want it and I use screws and metal strapping to attach five gallon buckets on there side. And I can walk from front to back but nice nice rig man
I've been rigging my 16ft fiberglass for fishing trout too. Great ideas, especially like the out rigger idea, Thanks. You can see my rig in a video on my channel I uploaded. :D
i have a regular 16 foot ram x canoe .i want to set mine up like yours . i want to use in tha bay bays and creeks to clam/fish and crab out of. what size trolling motor do you think i need since the tide goes in and out in the bay? thanks
Hey David did you ever build one like this for your canoe I have the same canoe and I'm thinking about doing the same thing for the same purposes thanks in advance
Nice, neat clean rig I got one similar wanting to and outriggers and motor. Check out my video at bassinshankles I will probably use some of your ideas on my rig thanks for sharing!

Dear David, it is a good job. Please could you write me the dimensions of your canoe and stabilizer?
Pretty cool set up. How long does that battery last before dying?
Great job especially the outriggers.
Great setup I like it does the out rigger stabilizer add drag to it or the battery life as apposed to not having them

what size is the black pvc pipe supporting the stabilisers?
Looks like the 4" or 5" hey? I like the tip to fill them with styrofoam incase they take on water they still float.
Those outriggers ever start sliding back and forth on you?
He has a screw preventing that
What part of ohio do u live in i live in it to

Outriggers
Basically: I'm sick and tired of hearing videos where the guy uses the word basically throughout the dialog.
