    Just want to thank you for the idea. I just finished mine. I cut the pvc in the middle an added a 12 inch wooden dowel, so i can slide the 2 sections apart. I mounted 1 side permanently an the other side i drilled holes through the pvc an dowel then used bolts with wing nuts. Thanks again saved me a lot of money

    Thank you. Stabilizers run $200 to $400. I figured I would fabricate my own. This video helps

    Use the middle T pvc as a fishing pole holder.

    Nice idea. A couple of wing nuts would make remove/install easier.

    cool deal man but yeah wing nuts came to mind immediately. That said I know sometimes you make a prototype with what you have laying around. Thanks for the ideas!

    Thanks for the video. My buddy and I are building some outriggers today for my canoe so we can take it duck hunting and this seems very simple and cost effective. Just subscribed

    how sturdy is it, are you able to stand up without actually flipping over. i usually have me and one other person in mine fishing.

    Wing nuts for quick release, then rubber tubing over excess screw, in case your string hits it.

    Can you please post material list for your stabilizer modification?

    Do the hook bolts tear up your kayak.

    Are they out far enough for good stability? I dumped the canoe in a lake so now I'm a teensy bit paranoid! I don't want them out far but need em far enough. I imagine they get in theway of fishing a little bit.

    I have figured out up to all the piping but I can’t figure out what you used as the floats I can’t tell what that is

    • @TheTattoedVRpilot
      @TheTattoedVRpilot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Nuclear Reactor they are just regular crab pot floats. Hope that helps.

    I wonder about using those huge pool noodles glued onto PVC and T connections in the middle like you have. I have a Pelican canoe. Not 100% sure but I think it's 16'. Dying to be able to stand and fish and check jugs. Though I'm worried about jugs because last year we caught an ~80 lb blue.

    QUESTION: could I use 1/2 pvc to hold the crab floats? 3/4 will not fit in the hole. Thank you all.Lieutenant Cannon

    • @TheTattoedVRpilot
      @TheTattoedVRpilot  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, if the 1/2" will fit the hole it should be fine. Thanks for watching! 👍

    PVC breaks to easy, and having them on both sides mean constant back and forth rocking. I had better stability without!

    I made it by myself thanks to woodprix plans. I think it's the best way to learn how to build.
