Just want to thank you for the idea. I just finished mine. I cut the pvc in the middle an added a 12 inch wooden dowel, so i can slide the 2 sections apart. I mounted 1 side permanently an the other side i drilled holes through the pvc an dowel then used bolts with wing nuts. Thanks again saved me a lot of money
cool deal man but yeah wing nuts came to mind immediately. That said I know sometimes you make a prototype with what you have laying around. Thanks for the ideas!
Thanks for the video. My buddy and I are building some outriggers today for my canoe so we can take it duck hunting and this seems very simple and cost effective. Just subscribed
Are they out far enough for good stability? I dumped the canoe in a lake so now I'm a teensy bit paranoid! I don't want them out far but need em far enough. I imagine they get in theway of fishing a little bit.
I wonder about using those huge pool noodles glued onto PVC and T connections in the middle like you have. I have a Pelican canoe. Not 100% sure but I think it's 16'. Dying to be able to stand and fish and check jugs. Though I'm worried about jugs because last year we caught an ~80 lb blue.
+PNW OutdoorChannel right on, there is a store around here called the outdoor sportsman, was thinking small world. Building mine right now Ill upload some pictures.

Thank you. Stabilizers run $200 to $400. I figured I would fabricate my own. This video helps
An on the water demo would be a useful addition.
Use the middle T pvc as a fishing pole holder.
Nice idea. A couple of wing nuts would make remove/install easier.

how sturdy is it, are you able to stand up without actually flipping over. i usually have me and one other person in mine fishing.
ha...thought wingnuts too...then you wrote it...very nice video...subscribed
Very simple and effective design.
Awesome and thank you. When buying the floats what are those red and white floats called
Crab floats or crab pot floats don’t remember exact name
Thanks for the video! Awesome job
Wing nuts for quick release, then rubber tubing over excess screw, in case your string hits it.
Can you please post material list for your stabilizer modification?
I want to build the same thing for my jon boat.
nice! thanks for sharing!
Very well done ! Thank You.
Do the hook bolts tear up your kayak.

I have figured out up to all the piping but I can’t figure out what you used as the floats I can’t tell what that is
The Nuclear Reactor they are just regular crab pot floats. Hope that helps.
Go buy all the stuff except the floats right now I just wish I could figure out what that is I really wanna take my canoe out but it’s too unstable

Worked out great for me! Even stood up while using a trolling motor! Thanks for watching
Just wondering what size of crab traps you used?
where did you get the fists from? what are they called
thanks for the idea
QUESTION: could I use 1/2 pvc to hold the crab floats? 3/4 will not fit in the hole. Thank you all.Lieutenant Cannon
Sure, if the 1/2" will fit the hole it should be fine. Thanks for watching! 👍
+PNW OutdoorChannel ... Thank you very much for the fast reply.
+W. Curtis Cannon no problem! 👍
Think ill stick a piece of rebar in the pvc
would it stabilize somewhat if only one side was used instead of both?
Just on that side.
Fuckin' Wingnut !! LOL JK bro.. Great Vid... Thank You for your ingenuity. :)
is that a frontiersman canoe
The Outdoor Sportsman in Stockton, CA?
The sportsmans warehouse in Washington state... But they sell them on eBay pretty cheap also. Thanks for watching! 👍

wing nuts...
Yup! Nuts with wings 👍
Informative, but have someone hold the camera steady.
PVC breaks to easy, and having them on both sides mean constant back and forth rocking. I had better stability without!
I made it by myself thanks to woodprix plans. I think it's the best way to learn how to build.
You never see these crappy plastic DIY stuff actually work. LOL
Thats a great design. I will prob use some of your ideas on mine.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 👍
what's the foam things called ?
Crab floats I believe. Thanks for watching
