Wow. A warm welcome from İstanbul Türkiye. Thanks a lot for this very genuine, detailed video on the Vivo X100 Pro. Especially sharing different color modes was very useful. I have watched at least 20 different review of this phone. Nobody shared those. Also honest views on the drawbacks of the phone was very useful as well. Currently as an owner of iPhone 15 Pro Max, I already ordered a Vivo X100 Pro and I dont think that I will regret a single bit.
Excellent review(s)! Remember the Vivo X50 Pro which started all this? As a vlogger what I loved was the built-in 3 axis micro gimbal on the main cam. It was amazing! I'm now using Vivo X70 Pro+ to make vids (also love it) but waiting on Vivo X100 Pro+ or Ultra to upgrade and HOPING they bring back the micro gimbal... (or as you say, at least ultra steady on higher resolutions).
Truly agree with u X 70 Pro more detail on its main camera and disappointed with X 100 Pro on its selfie without autofocus but the lower specs has it
@@MrFoo999 Apparently the Vivo x100 Pro PLUS/ aka ULTRA should launch within next couple weeks. Here's hoping. If not, my 'old' X70 Pro+ still amazing and waaay better than an iPhone esp in low light.

For the blue night sky problem, i just reduce the exposure whenever i feels the night pic were too bright on my Vivo X60 Pro+. But on a total darkness, the sky will be pitch black, with contrasting white from the stars. Great review anyway, keep it up.
Btw. the chinese variant I have also has now an option to turn off video sharpness in pro mode. Very very cool feature

Since you have so much appreciation for phone cameras.. Plz have ranking system.. So you can always have a top 10 of your list & keep adding/ removing phones as n how they perform over time.. Just a suggestion..
I thought abt it before... but there are phones I don't get to use every year... like some xiaomi n OPPO flagships don't launch in India... same with huawei... so it would always be an incomplete n uncomprehensive list
Are all this filters in Portrait mode available on european funtouch version too, or are they only in originOS?
My x100 pro is the global rom funtouch os... Atleast I think it is similar to European funtouch os... It should be available

You should make a video using a filter to see if tha cant tame it a bit. At least for very bright light
Hii, I watched all your videos on Vivo X100 Pro, and I loved your reviews, but there is one thing: can you please tell me if Vivo X100 Pro supports gcam? And what's the camera2api support level of this device?
why on earth would you need g cam on such a phone .. its default camera app is way better than the g cam mod lol
@@TempestGuy It seems like you just want to be confined to the company's stock camera. I am not your type of man. Have you ever had fun using Gcam's numerous customization options? Oh, I'm saying this to the wrong person. Have fun with the stock camera😂

Do you use tempered glass, or film strip, or full cover? Does covering full camera with protective lens , have any effect on camera quality.
I don't use any covers... just a plastic screen protector that came pre-installed
@@thetechphenomena ok in terms of night time video, iphone 15 pro max dynamic range is tad bit better, dont know about other topics tho.
Actually video quality is very similar... but the stabilization was horrible... it was actually worse than the 14 pro

Hi, your reviews have an artistic style to it which differs from other reviews, which I like. However, after listening on your complaints on this phone about blue skies and other issues, why not make a review comparison with the Find x7 ultra?
They should add good flash like aura lighting and front flash front 4k and vlog mode too

I was like "bruh tf he doin, he did a review and so many comparisons, ofc there's nothing left for the camera review'
BUT HOT DIGGITY DAMN those portrait mode shots made me coom a little. I bought my S22 U because it was (imo at least) the best and most balanced for portraits due to its edge detection and 3x lens. I do think Vivo overcooks the processing on human subjects in portrait mode but I think a different style can fix that, for example that Natural Portrait shot was magnificent. WOAH night mode styles are so COOL! I've never heard any other reviewer talk about them. Would love a natural mode on the night mode, what do you think? Like realistic exposure/lighting and saturation like the Zeiss Natural colors. No over boosting of shadows or anything like Samsung yk
BTW can you comment on the haloing that BBK phones seem to have? Such as the Oneplus 12 and Vivo X100 Pro like in MKBHD's test at night? I saw it in one indian reviewers samples for the Oneplus 12 as well. Also, on TechTablets, Chris saw some judders when panning, can you comment on that as well?

yeah im whith you this time i dont like either night skies and over sharpening some times it makes skin look more phone like than mirrorless like the oppo x7 whish vivo launch a log video an raw photografi that doesnt oversharpen the pictures so much and video but overall prety much neat phone
Night sky has natural colour...I have tested it personally....
We have three options...either natural black sky, light blue (Dim light) or deep blue color

@@azarn72 There is option in photo mode....You click with Zeiss Natural mode...you get black sky....under night mode in dim light you get light blue color of sky and in astro mode you get blue sky...

That's true... but in photo mode the night shots quality isn't as good as with dedicated night mode... at least in my experience

Then we get only one option which is PRO mode....I believe anyone who buy this beast should atleast learn pro mode so that in future they can make a 30k phone photo into flagship....
I learn from Iso ,shutter speed and all then apply to pro mode for better quality
Xiaomi have been pictured testing their upcoming mi 14 ultra against the vivo x100 pro in the camera department..
Every company is now worried about vivo, there's the x100 ultra coming in April sorry Xiaomi 😂
X100 pro is phenomenal, I'll upgrade to the x200 pro next year.

How about portrait video
It works... but can be prone to edge detection issues... just like most phones with portrait video... I talked more abt in the video comparison with the iPhone... u can chk it out if u want more details

Please send this video to vivo because i want the next vivo next year. And please vivo lower the sharpening and work on the contrast/colours in the sky and autofocus, stabilisation.

Bro excellent reviews ❤ but one request please do not color grade your review videos so we can enjoy camera samples as original as it is, all the pictures looks color graded
The photos aren't color graded... just my video n the b roll... it would be criminal to color grade the image samples😂

Every one agreed the fact that vivo's x series produce the best portraits in a smartphone
And also I'm amazed by the portraits produced by Sony xperia 5 v
I have both phones and i gotta say, the vivo just doesn't come close when it comes to subject separation and depth estimation compared to the find x7 ultra.
The x7 ultra can differentiate small details like stray hair or eye brows much much better, not to mention it has very natural DOF fall off (the blur is stronger at further distance and less intense at closer distance). Whereas the x100 ultra just feels like it cuts the background off the subject and blurs it which feels incredibly cheap and fake.
Its separation of hairs and small details is also a hit-and-miss
When it comes to portraits, the blurriest background doesn't always produce the best picture, the realism counts too.
Is it really the case on Vivo? Cause non of the reviews mention it. Actually, it is the only thing i do not like in x100 Pro. @@blacsheep19
