I sold my X100 Pro and got an S24 Ultra. Was so disappointed with the potrait details that I sold it within 2 days and bought another x100 pro. Not switching anytime soon untill I get something like the Find X7 Ultra comes along to India.

Indian Channels like this, Ershad at TTE, are much MUCH more trustworthy.

S24Ultra doesn't have that crispness, that BITE with the portraits as the X100 Pro.
The only phone that is comparable or even beats the x100 Pro in portraits is the Oppo Find X6 Pro. I've used it and it was INSANE.
Sold it because I got a 15 Pro Max around December last year. Was a mistake.

The fact Vivo x100 pro actually uses AI and different lens photo combining to make it more appealing and making it less authentic and more edited and you can't even turn it off the AI processing
Idk if anyone else noticed what i did, x100 pro main sensor and telephoto mimics dslr focal lenght at different zoom levels. For example u take a shot of sky which also has a house before the sky, it will most of the time blur the house or any other object as if its very close to the lens mimicking actual lens blur.

Well said ! The only reason that makes me opt for the 14 Ultra is that the photos in general seem less flat to me and that it is much more complete in terms of photographic rendering with its professional hardware and equipment. Everyone has their own style. You can't go wrong with these 2 bad boys. Just an attraction to this or that brand and perhaps also the price.
If you don't take photos of people the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is the best phone camera on the planet. Without a doubt for me.

I love your objective comparisons, but let me say, as all Xiaomi cameras are 50 Mp you could have cropped the macro shot too, for a 6.4x equivalent zoom (or even 10x when using the 5x telephoto!). What really amazes me about the Xiaomi is the atmospheric presevation. The subtle shadows and light treatment that give that sense of depth, so to say!
The 6.4x would use the 5x telephoto... N the 5x isn't as good for macro

i don't know but I'd prepare Xiaomi, because it has good hardware it has a high baseline for improvement, and using Xiaomi you got this feeling that after taking a shoot you got this feeling that this photo is not fake, unlike other who rely too much on processing, that you got a photo that more like AI process, just my opinion though
extremely well compared and explained, well done and deserved a sub, looking forward to see the x100 Ultra comparison =)
Just a shame that android auto is not supported on x100U, funtouchOS is kind of not as great as Xiaomis MIUI but crazy to have fog issues besides poor night performance especially during the night, so really only leaves X100 Pro if one needs AA and wants latest greatest tech with the new level of photography performance almost like near DSLR like impressions. (really the next round of mobiles will probably be establish more thoroughly that new baseline).
I went from 14 pro max to 15 pro max. Then the journey through S24u, Pixel 8 pro, One plus open, Vivo X100 Ultra, back to 15 pro max, Xiaomi 14 ultra which I told 2 days back and brought back the Vivo x100 pro. Phew.. Now patiently waiting for the Thanos aka x100 Ultra due for launch in May. X100 pro is hands down the best. Especially the portrait mode is unmatched. S24U being the worst of the above bunch by a long margin.
For reference I use a Nikon Z8 with 85mm 1.2 lens for candid photos. So talking that into account the X100 pro portraits, color rendition and white balance and high shutter speed is top notch compared to the others. Xiaomi 14 ultra has inconsistent white balance, inconsistent exposure, skewed skintones to red/orange and not so good portrait edge detection and Bokeh and blurry photos in potrait mode. All can be fixed via firmware maybe, but I have lost the trust.
Prueba OPPO junto con el vivo x100 ultra serán los mejores del año y bueno el p70 pro por supuesto, el 14 ultra yo lo tengo junto con el 15 pro Max y el Xiaomi es muy inconsciente y a veces te aburres de estar cambiando todo para obtener la foto correcta... Siempre está el RAW pero por lo que vale es muy mejorable y encima es peor en batería que la competencia y ha salido con varios problemas de fábrica, no sé qué hace Xiaomi pero yo con una mala experiencia tengo bastante por Jan temporada al menos

I have both too and they are really neck to neck. With giving the edge to the vivo x100pro.
Overall you cant go wrong with either.
Both kill easily 15 pro max, pixel 8 pro or the s24 ultra.
I totally love your videos. The technical depth is just at another level. By the way don't you feel vivo x100 pro has a yellow tint to pictures especially for human subjects? Apart from that it seems very nice

Well if u wanna produce professional videos then I would say the Xiaomi 14 ultra would be your best bet with its log recording features... The general video quality I'm not quite certain as to how it compares to the x100 pro just yet... Will know soon enough when I make the video comparison

Well front camera I'm not certain abt Xiaomi 14 ultra yet... But I think the x100 pro has some of the best front camera video... It's even better than the iPhone 15 Pro Max and S24 ultra.

You are missing a bit on xiaomi 14 ultra potrait. Besides master/leica potrait, they also have 2 diff modes, default modes (from 23mm to 75mm) and master style from 35mm until 90mm).
The diff, you will see in aperture in exif data. Of u r using leica watermark, default potrait will have native aperture, master style, nope, diff aperture.
Both flagships looks so phenomenal like ur content😊

I haven't compared the two for video yet... But I think the Xiaomi 14 ultra would be the choice for professional video production coz the log mode is stunning n way more flexible than anything the x100 pro can provide

it will only make a difference in the long run but i think 12gb ram is more than enough even for heavy use
i would get more ROM storage for more picturec and videos, not RAM

Vibrant mode in Vivo not only changes the color but also boosts the shadows. Regarding the Texture mode it adds vingette. Therefore color modes in Vivo are not only changing color
I see... Well all the time I've used vivid colors with the x100 pro it hasn't really meddled with the contrast or shadows... Maybe an update changed how vivid mode is processed

@the tech phenomena True, the X100 Pro is very good. BUT, the highlights are almost always too extreme. Look at the street for example (~7:55). Its a shame they dont provide an option too reduce ONLY the highlights and / or contrast (instead of the overall exposure)
I'm torn between those two phones...
On average, I prefer the images of the X100 Pro and it's much cheaper as well, but I prefer 14 ultra in terms of hardware as it has a less curved screen and the photography kit seems neat as well.
I also hear about notification issues with the X100 Pro, which I'm not too keen about...

@@Zaphod_Z I had the 14 ultra and returned it for the x100 pro and I couldn't be happier. On the 14 ultra camera wasn't great battery is poor and hyper os I didn't like.
The x100 pro camera is much better the battery lasts around 2 days on a charge and it's a lot cheaper. Even easier to hold which is a bonus the 14 ultra was to bulky.

xiaomi videos are better , look at his upload, tje comparison between the two. vivio videos are lame compare to xiaomi, if i were to choose betweeem the two ill go xiaomi their pics are nearly the same , but the videos.xiaomi stands out

X 100 draws cartoons. And if it ordinary objects, like dry grass, it can give a dirty shade from sharpe, then on people x100 stupidly changes the geometry of the face, draws other eyes and makes in general another person. The noise maker in particular stands out. On x100, the noise maker makes round objects in the detalas chopped. Meanwhile, if you as a photographer want to draw your own picture, the x100 just can't give you a fair raw or log. It can't switch off its processing
The vivo is truly an excellent smartphone camera.
But the Xiaomi is closer to a SLR camera. I think it's in the way it handles a photos. Perhaps both Xiaomi and vivo are processing to increase the resolution. But clearly, Xiaomi's is clearly more natural and has a softer impression despite its subtlety. Dark areas are moderately dark and detail is maintained.
In my opinion, xiaomi wins hands down.
Hey bro... U did not mention 2 things of Vivo uniqueness. The T* coating and sharpness in every corner of the picture. These both are featured in collaboration with zeies.

Kitta difficult to beat Vivo in photography nowadays and in coming future.
Vivo is concentrating So So much on cameras. I wish they had a better UI and Software.
Still I feel, the Biotar and these portrait effects should be used cleverly by understanding the surroundingd and ambient light. Biotar bokeh in your photos is looking unnatural.

To me this X100 Pro main camera not as detail at X70 Pro, probably due to Gimbal stabilisation. Maybe they could give another better update
Idk from where this is coming. I've used the X70 Pro+ and the X100 Pro is a DEFINITE improvement over that. Gimbal Stabilisation didn't add to the details as much as the "Pixel Shift" tech did and still does. Search on it, it's pretty dope.

I don't like how unnaturally x100 handles portrait shots. The background looks like an inserted video call background effect, like the subject is in front of a green screen. Xiaomis subject looks like he's actually "there", not inserted to the shot
Well I like the biotar effect coz it's stylish... But if u prefer natural bokeh then I think planar bokeh or just the regular bokeh would be good options on the x100 pro... It's got options for basically anything u want😂

Having said that... Samsung S24 Ultra has waaaayyyyyy more better quality pictures and videos... I love my s24 ultra... I quit my iPhone and switched to Android for good because of Samsung galaxy s24 ultra.
