Thanks Smitty. I’ll stick to surf fishing. Need to get better in the pier while June grass is bad. Has been fun - hooked up with a big one today but lost it at the crimped wire. Just means I’ll have to try again!!

To the guy in the orange shirt: "whatcha doing?" Reply: "I'm walking my pet fish". I know there are advantages, but I do not like pier fishing. One of my first experiences was seeing a fisherman receive a significant scalp laceration from a guy on the other side of the pier who slung his lead weight back and slammed the guy behind him in the head. Also, when it's hot and sunny, YOU feel like the fish in the pan. Surf fishing is more fun; if you get hot, take a swim. Just having the surf swirl around your legs is pleasant.

You guys are good! I live in the Midwest, and vacation in your woods every year! This year in May sucked for surf, 30 mph South winds all week. The only good day was on the Okaloosa pier.... your channel will blow up. Just saying, you need to give us videos all winter, when we're freezing here up north! Good times,

We prefer the beach over the pier. Anywhere on the beach is good, structure changes daily, look out for something different.
