My goodness, if I had that many mullet, I would just go home and cook them up. Love “Operation make the most of it” operations! Fish never act as planned, the one time I was using a light setup to catch a whiting to use as cut bait for redfish, landed a 30” red on Shell Beach, less than 30’ off the shore, Nov. 21, 2020.
Great action. I fished this pier once and only caught 3 fish. It was still awesome. A Spanish, a 14” mangrove and a box fish. First catch for each one.
I don’t fish but I enjoyed watching you fish. Some healthy beautiful fish you cought. Thanks for taking me along. I miss Pensacola sooo much. We would have been there this weekend if I hadn’t canceled. Plan to come this Spring if the weather behaves itself. Take care.
I lived in GulfBreeze 58 years ago as a teenager. I lost my brand new spinning outfit when I put it down and a big something took my bait and never stopped. I was watching the USS Antietam returning from a training mission. Caught reds and spanish. The road to the pier was nothing to brag about back in the day😂😂🇺🇸
I subscribed to your program today. I look forward to your postings. I used to live in Pensacola. I've fished many of the places you are featuring. Ft. Pickens pier was my favorite spot. If you ever hook onto a heavy duty deep sea rod and reel off the bottom, that's mine. Had a King mackerel hit it before I could set it in one of the rod holes on the railing and away it went. Hard tails school around that pier. You can catch them on a just a shiny hook. They hit anything shiny.
Definitely one of my fishon trips with my old motor. Man I worked on that thing more than I fished. I got it working great and it blew up. Putting the new one on in 2 weeks just in time for this year's season. Good luck to ya man.🤘🤘
Man Im in Pensacola right now but the entire country has gone through a cold front. I really hope I can catch something out here!? I brought my Kayak too!
Only way to catch one is to get out there and wet a line! Plenty places to put in at on the channel. check out the kayak adventures playlist! Holler at me if you need more advice or help. -D
Caught some decent whiting on Navarre beach this am. No Pompano thou 😔. Nothing worse than boat problems. Great video. Be nice when the sea shore opens back up. Not that Navarre beach has been busy, I just love Opal Beach.
😂 There were a few small snappers early in the video where you put your fingers right in front of their mouth.... I cringed every time waiting for them to snap at ya.... unfortunately I know how it feels..... Thanks for the video... Makes me want to head south!!!
Looked like fun, well minus the boat trouble. You were just feeding the fish☺️, did you catch any to take home and eat? I saw all the mullet the other guy caught, so know they had some supper.
We ended up keeping 2 legal sized red fish as well. I, Myself personally have slowed down on keeping fish, but they definitely went home with a cooler full. Thanks for watching! -D
Thanks Melanie! Means a lot coming from you! Good job getting to 1000 subs! Now I’m gonna head over to your channel and steal some of those recipes of yours! 😅
I know this is an old video but you’ll get the noti, wouldn’t be awesome if you had a underwater camera to drop down off the pier and maybe get a few strikes on cam ?!?! Could do a split screen for your TH-cam videos
@@VitaminDeeTV yea it would be cool even if you weren’t going for shots of the strike. You could hang it off on the other side of the pier so it didn’t affect the bite. Just be some cool ass footage
Hey vitamin Dee Love your channel love you Fishing love your contribution thank you so much. Got a favor to ask you dude, please don’t throw fishing line in the water it affects all kinds of wildlife turtles or other fish you know that. Thank you
Staying at Ft Pickens mid Sept. want to fish just from shore on bay side of fort (not from the pier necessarily) just from shore. What can I catch, what bait will work? Frozen be ok or any artificial Any idea if dropping crap trap would be fun or throwing net for anything? Any info would be great. Thanks!
Sub because Pensacola is amazing and extremely underrated!! I went to Pensacola Christian College and would love to go out fishing with you next time I'm down for a fishing trip.
Love your videos you should come flounder gigging with me I have a bunch of secrets spots no body hits. regularly gig 4 to 6 pounders in these spots all year long . My pb being 10band a half pounds and 28 1/2 inches . Found him on a rock wall literally on the bank with his back out the water . Completely ruined my gig stabbing him because rocks were underneath him but was so worth it
Just subscribed! The peckerhead comment was so freaking funny. Lol. I’m sorry he bit you but that was😂🤣. Keep the videos coming. I live in Texas but we vacation in Pensacola Beach. Next time we get to go I’m want to meet you and maybe wet some line.
Your comment about “over population of the red snapper” high lights the conservation efforts of the State of Florida Dept Of Natural Resources coming to fruition.
I agree. But, too much of any one species in particular can be harmful to an entire ecosystem. There was a “re-opening” of the red snapper season in 2020 after the wildlife conservation discovered that there had been a “miscount” of the population of red snapper. The locals here know it and have noticed it for a while now. When you can’t catch any other target species because red snapper are everywhere and keep stealing your bait, there may be a problem...
Dnr don't know a red snapper from those mullet he cast netted in the beginning. All that about red snapper being threatened is bs or that it's made a huge comeback.
I'm camping here in about 5 weeks and really looking forward to seeing what I can catch. Thanks for sharing the video and look forward to you and the rest of the clickbaterz getting back together.
Sheepshead 12" total length, 8 per person. Dog snapper 12" total length, part of10 snapper aggregate bag limit. Lane snapper 8" total length, Default bag limit of 100 pounds.
Bruh when you coming back..You been missing in action for awhile now..Hope and pray for you bruh...All is well with you and family...I know I'm not the only one who misses the V.D Man...
Love your videos but if you could, please refrain from throwing pieces of fishing line into the water like at 17:07 . Just put it in your pocket and throw it into the line recycling station at the end of the pier (or at least in a trashcan). I've seen too much wildlife tangled in fishing line when I go fishing and it makes me sad. Thanks
I’m sorry. I usually am very mindful about saving my line and trash. I also encourage others to do the same. I told myself I must have not been thinking when I did that and after reviewing the footage I had to have been thinking about losing that fish. Thanks for pointing that out! And Thanks for watching! Tight lines! -D
Already asked an answered but thanks Logan for asking and also fair play to vit d for saying it was a failing and not denying it, we all know what's the right thing to do 🇬🇧
In this video I was using a 7ft Outcast MH rod with an older Penn 4400 SS For pier fishing, Penn 4000-5000 series combos are great right off the shelf. I recommend those because they are great for many different styles of fishing. That includes throwing lures, fishing with live bait, and catching anything from bigger to smaller inshore species. 🤙
What a fantastic video! We are going to Pensacola next Sunday and looking forward to fishing there. Hope to see you. 😊
Thanks man! Your videos are very enjoyable 😊
Thanks for watching! #family
It's nice to see people you have seen out and about doing things like this! Nice work bro!
Another good day of fishing and catching!
Glad you are growing. Keep the content its good.
That technique works great on the pier, I do it all the time in Port Orange on the Sunglow Pier. Literally straight down or under the dock.
That’s beautiful fish with blue tail. Awesome videos bud!

Me too I love mullet fried or smoked
That colorful snapper you caught is a Dog Snapper!! One of the more rare ones in that area! Good job :)
Thanks for the info🇬🇧
Great action. I fished this pier once and only caught 3 fish. It was still awesome. A Spanish, a 14” mangrove and a box fish. First catch for each one.

I caught a huge Spanish off the corner of that Pier with a gotcha lure in 2001. Also seen a massive hammerhead come up right at the surface
