I admittedly was more intrigued with Brody than a fan, but this intrigue caused me to consume so much of his content over the past few years. Whether it was just his spots on Kill Tony or his own show, or his stand ups on TH-cam. Or even his drum lesson on his own TH-cam page. His depression/mental illness really made me drawn to him, but it always made me a little bit uneasy. Every few months, I would always check TH-cam for some Brody content, just hoping that he would still have something going on. I just always had this bad feeling and kinda “checked up” on him, as stupid as that sounds. I guess it’s because I have struggled with depression in the past and can relate. There was always something real about him that came out. Like - when he got emotional and played it off as a joke, it felt visceral and real. Kind of like nobody understood him, but I think that is what made him so unique. I’ve heard many times before that he was the comic that other comics loved. He would be the one to make them all laugh when their peers’ acts were getting old. That in itself is such a cool thing! RIP Brody
Brody had no idea what a great future the universe had in store for him. He really thought his life was what it was, but it was so much more then he ever knew. His life was a blessing to us all. Look after the ones around you. Love them- Let them know how great they are, even at their worst.
I saw him twice and he was a killer in a way like no other. Once was in the crowd for Chelsea Handler and he was the warmup act. The crowd wanted to give him nothing but he absolutely destroyed us. It was a real experience. So crazy that someone who feels so bad could make you feel so good.

When your ready to end it all, its not hard to say, ''well i can do this, or try that at least before i leave''. Its like a hail mary, for happiness; suffering reduction. Not saying that was his deal, but theres many avenues of the sort, suffering in silence blows. & in a lot of cases, a hail mary can work, but cant act as sole cure; more-less groundwork for the final self establishment.

He was in pain and was suffering from severe depression. Its not about quiting it's about not being happy, and suffering from horrible demoralizing pain that you can't comprehend unless you have severe depression or bi-polar, CCT, he wasn't happy and dying deep inside, its a horrible dark feeling of loneliness and pain. Just know that even if you can't physically see him, he is no longer in pain anymore and releaved and happier and all that pain and hurt is gone, he is in a much better place than the living. He is now making the afterlife laugh. He was too good for this world. He had a mental diease that is hard for people to understand, they seem happy and normal to us in the world and look so positive in person but deep inside they are crying and dying, you never know what a person is going through, all they need is love, and a hug, and someone who will be there and tell him or her they are worth so much. It mite fall on death ears but at least they know that you care. Just put your hands around them and tell them, I'm sorry you're in pain, I'm here buddy, everything will be okay, and you love them. Ask them to call you and tell them if they need to talk, you are here. They need that, but their pain mite be so severe they will leave us regardless...just love them well their here.

Legend.
Brody forever. Never gonna be another quite like him.
His jokes are so good 8D the way he connects with the croud is totaly unique.
Coming here after a couple of years to remember Brody. The best.
Love this man!!! His death is heartbreaking to me. YOU GOT IT!!!! Push and believe!!!
There are so many hilarious stand up comics who never truly get the accolades they truly deserve. Tony knew a lot of them.
Holy shit this dude is funny. Sad to know he was suffering so much.
Brody wasn’t retiring any of these bits, nor should he have! What a monsoon of comedic genius, he was. 818!
RIP Brody, you had demons to tough to tame. May you find your peace,. Thanks for the laughs.
Too tough to tame.
Thanks. That was killing me, glad someone else got to it before I did........
Freshly squeezed Sunny Delight!!! Lmfao!!! Genius...What an extraordinary performer and a true Original...I hope you have finally found peace...Thank you for the inspiration and for being YOU...REST IN ETERNAL PEACE HOMIE...
Brody Stevens the Tony Robbins of comedy.
Positive energy
I am thankful to have seen this in person and briefly met Brody after his set. RIP.
Hardest line to hear, "I don't quit!" Wish you didn't, RIP Brody 😢
June giovani NO! Get that shit out of here! I am all for free speech, but you shouldn't be saying that shit. He did quit, he was a coward, and it's still sad. There are kids out there looking for shit like this, so please don't be the person who puts them over the edge. My best friend almost killed himself, but because we were firm with him, we saved his life.
@@ashybear1215 He did quit and it was sad, but he was not a coward. Suicide is not the solution but thinking that doesnt make you a coward.
It’s always the happy positive people who are suffering the most. Christina P talked about usually he calls her when his depression is getting the best of him. For some reason he didn’t this time 😞
Maybe he didn't quit and was just done
“I call 911 when I see a nascar accident, ima good guy” LONG LIVE BRODY
Brody was surprisingly limber.
He was a baseball player in college
Lol surprisingly? He was an athlete before he was a comedian. Haha
He used to work out on his Periscope videos
DOING KETTLEBELLS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!
You got it!
The high kicks get me every damn time 😂
He was such a kind soul. Back in the early days of Twitter. He was so nice to his fan base. He would message and talk to me about baseball or something random i thought he would like. He made me smile a lot and laugh harder. He was genuine. I miss you Brody 😢
Thank you for all of the laughs, Brody!
I Love you! 🙏
@7:33 "But I broke down...
..in my daddy's arms"
It's one of my favorite Brody jokes, and on more than one occasion, I've seen it get zero crowd response. Baffling.
@@SwitcherooU such an underrated bit
He made it even funnier by pointing at a guy for mot laughing xD
Jesus Brody...I saw you back in Seattle probably 1992-93 on public access television and I knew you were Great !! You were a genius back then but there was only 17 people watching the show..Thank you for all the laughs and I miss you.
Legends never die.
-R.I.P BRODY:)
God, Brody is such a one of a kind. We need him back so bad.😥 I could see him and Shane Gillis being hilarious together. You got it.
Troubled soul. Talented beyond measure. Rest in peace.
He was a comic.....how many of them aren't troubled?
Thank you so much for posting the full half hour, been bingeing everything of his or about him since his passing
You are brilliance SBS
I wish I was there in Boston with you
I love you
& will miss you forever
I came here from Bill Burr's most recent podcast, I've never seen Brody's material before but my god is this guy funny!
He puts me in mind of an American Stewart Lee in the genius way he manages to make analysing comedy part of the comedy and breaks through the glass that seems to be between most stand ups and the crowd.
Now planning to binge this guys material and to all of his long term fans; I'm sorry for your loss, this was one seriously funny dude.
R.I.P Brody Stevens
The tags on the corn in urine bit deserved more.
I am so glad I got to see him so many times at The Comedy Stores Original room, , he was always great to run into and say hi too. You are definitely missed there. It will not be the same without him.
Brody is a legend, first time ive ever been sad a celebrity has died, rip Brody we love you
After watching all his comedy store sets this was his culmination. I’ve got a ton of respect for comedians and the nuances now, it’s so hard to get the timing down in their act to make a crowd laugh. Amazing.
Sometimes I go down to the batting cage...
Just to play catch!
😂😭😭🤣😭😭😂😭😭🤣
I was at this taping and briefly met him moments after. Thanks for posting.
