So true about the googling of masjid near me. We landed in a small town GA masjid recently and had a wonderful experience. Learned that their Imam was not well and made dua for him. Sometimes Allah puts us in places where He knows it is good for us.

This topic needs a more in-depth and lengthier discussion. May Allah bless you all for discussing it. I'm sure both of you can share personal experiences of how these principles are applied incorrectly and we can all learn from them.

We all cam learn from each other we don't have to be the same. The moment we give birth to our egos that "We" are somehow special. Is the exact moment shaytan breaks up our brotherhood. No matter how much we know we have no right to be arrogant, we're simple servants of Allah.

The brothers are making good points, but in my humble opinion the approach of letting someone parade us around as if we support them meanwhile we have very strict opinions against them, is wrong, for example the alphabet folks. I think it's disingenuous and confusing to our Ummah to see us associating with these clowns. If you want to associate with a minority that is fighting for its rights maybe you should associate with folks who are not so openly against religion or traditional moral values, and that are more in line with Islam, such as Christians or Jews. It is not ideal and I am ignorant of how feasible that may be, but it's worth noting that it was traditional Christians that helped to overturn the Roe v Wade decision. So it has happened before. I do not believe we should bow down to anyone else and be willing to just accept the help of anyone who will come no matter how delusional they are simply because we are the minority. We should make our values heard loud and clear so if anyone else relates to these they can come and sit at the table with us. The political identity of Muslims in America is tricky for sure, but in no way should we be in support of or even tolerant of such degeneracy. I think this is a slippery slope that we are going down and it is very dangerous for us, even more so for our children.

Two years of pregnancy is Female testimony!!! you should be aware that these kind of sentences are hurtful for women. So please use pertinent words. Wasn't Khadija RA, the first witness of Islam alongside the Prophet PBUH?
