10:00 Scenes like this....you KNOW he has to climb down again for the camera....and yet he does it for us to feel the trip and have a feeling that we were part of something. I appreciate it soo much, thank you for all the effort and attention to detail 🤜🏻🤛🏼🤗
Such a great time and a great video mate. Sorry it took me a day to check it out, I'm just finding time as I'm waiting on my flight out of France and heading back to Canada. Hanging out with you and seeing this part of the UK, the hike, the camp... all of it was a highlight of the year for me. Thanks again and whenever you want to jump across the pond to Canada or Mexico just let me know and we can continue the adventure.
This is my back yard now, I retired to the Park 2 years ago from South Wales, I feel claustrophobic in a city now and despite an illness which nearly killed me last year and has left me slightly disabled, I’m staying, all my rehabilitation is here in the mountains. Great vid as always Simon, great to see you here on the other side of the country.
Love the fact you finish the film off properly at the end. For some reason so important to feel a part of the adventure. Also the cooking and tea making. Honestly feel like I am there without the hard slog 😂❤
Simon, watched your cold, windy mountain (s) scramble. Am watching poolside 103 F in the shade of an umbrella.(Later on this afternoon temp will top out at 111F.) I so appreciate your many outings all over your homeland, as there isn't a chance that at 75 during pandemic times that I'll get there now. Thanks for all your hard camera work that allows me to feel as though l'm tagging along with you.
Simon, thank you for showing the mountains of Wales. My family were farmers who came to the US from Wales. Seeing Wales, the soft, beautiful, grassy hills, tugs on heartstrings I wasn’t aware I had. I don’t deserve any profound tie to that land or people other than the swell of emotions that hit me, thinking that my kin may have started there. Some the dirt of those hills may be mixed with the dirt that makes me. The need I have to farm, to be a steward of the land, may have some start, some DNA, in that land. Thanks for letting me see some of Wales. Jeff Albritton
Boy-O-Boy, that would be the trip to remember. I might get to enjoy some time with an outdoorsy friend, maybe see something uniquely British or Welsh. Time is too precious to miss out on friendship. Jeff
How do you always know just when I am so stressed that I need to see a new "Simon, a bloke in the woods" video? 😆 Always calms my nerves to watch them! Great work, take care out there! Thanks for posting!
Awesome guys!! Simon I'm gobsmacked you taking us with you all, you must do the walk twice! Great views and fantastic weather to boot. Thanks for taking us along.!
Simon as a former resident of Snowdonia, you brought back memories. The mountain Pen Llithig y Wrach is the first slope from which I jumped with a paraglider attached! also the back of Carnedd Dafydd is where a few mates and I lugged a snowboard and old skis to play 20 years ago. Just above the Mountain Rescue HQ! I don't glide anymore, but I do ski here in the Alps where I now live, also mountain bike.
I have camped in the same place as you did on my many occasions when I climbed on Triffan and the surrounding areas. It's been my go to place since I moved to Wales. Great video, I enjoyed it very much, thank you for doing it.
A wild walk in Eryri! Love it. Definitely not as flat as East Anglia so I can understand your fitness issues. And, as you have witnessed, it doesn't always rain in Wales, even on the mountains! Your pronunciation of Welsh names was ok for a non- Welsh speaker :-)
New subscriber and recently moved to Norfolk. Love your videos and especially the Norfolk Coast path ones. Just finished the Scotland row. Great stuff 👏
Beautiful country. Cosy looking camp 🏕. As a New Zealander I feel I must comment on the quality of the Sheep 🐑 country! ( looks superb for farming!). Thanks for sharing Dave
All places that you go camping in are so beautiful. What a freedom of hiking! Enjoy the view, enjoy life, and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Super cool!
Out of shape my foot! I can't believe you walked all that distance in one day. Any idea how far it was? You always find the most beautiful places to go. Loved it.
Mountain views in the northeast US and New York state or the wonderful mountainous areas of Wales in the UK, this is a difficult decision, who may claim "best view?" Personal prejudices put aside, we enjoy all of creation. Simon, you did it again Man, great video of your trip.
First time watching you, enjoyed very much, I am a Bushman and Blue fan, but now yours as well, you make made me hungry with your burgers for supper and the breakfast, looking forward your next video, regards from Leeds Yorkshire xxx
Looks like a great route with lots of variety! Weather looks a lot better up Carnedd Lleweyn than the last time I went up there. lovely little spot to camp at too. Great video guys, thanks for sharing!!
A great trip. Y'all had to have enjoyed yourselves. Beautiful scenery and especially nice that you made the day without rain. Love your adventures and trips, keep up the great work and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next adventure. 👍👍
Thank you for sharing us this amazing wonderful video ,,,Wales,,, I enjoyed watching and as if I’m doing hiking too with you guys ! 😀👍👌 Take care ,,,, watching from 🇦🇹Vienna, Austria 🖐 God bless 🙏
Awesome video! We always look forward to your videos, I waited all day for my husband to get home so we could watch it together. I will say I was quite shocked to see a hatless Simon for a few moments 😲. Thank you for always going the extra mile to get incredible footage, I know we all as viewers appreciate the extra work you do for us to feel like we're along for the journey. 💙
Wow that shot of the windmills was crazy it almost looked like they were just floating in nothingness.. those hills get ya.. I'm telling ya get some hiking poles it will save your knees (especially on the descents) :) Great hike, camp and vid!
Holy cow 24km in a day and not easy terrain at alllll !! Oh my 17:20 your buddy descends with hands in pockets Oh please tell him to be careful haha that’s how a buddy smashes a tail bone - I should know haha Angels be with you And be with you all
Nice! Very Nice! Looks like you both had a GREAT time of it. Hope you were able to fix the truck. Where to next? You are so lucky because you get to travel all over and hike, canoe, camp, eat in very awesome places. Do you even realize just how lucky you are Simon? Keep going Man!! Rock On!
Very different from your regular videos Simon. Thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent scenery and hearing you puff up some of those tough inclines. Great watch 👍🏼
Simon (dyn yn y coed! - a bloke in the woods) I am so happy to watch you in my home of North Wales! I live in Conwy so I walk the Carnedd often, the views are spectacular and it is so much quieter than Snowdon. There is a great bothy on the Carnedd. Thank you for showing my home is all it's splendour! Next time you venture to North Wales you should bring your canoe and go to Rhoscolyn on Anglesey. The cathedral sea cave is amazing! Great pronunciation of the hill names!! I loved this video! Da Iawn (well done)!!!
Diolch Rebecca! I know that bothy - it was a welcome refuge from some pretty awful weather a few years ago! 💦💦💦 Thank you for the heads up on Rhoscolyn - I’ll check it out with a view for a paddle trip in the future! 😁
Another great video, you never cease to inspire me to get out in nature. I’ve been enjoying your content for some time now, being one of my go to guys for bushcraft/wild camping/hiking videos. Fantastic scenery. But probably my biggest take away, is the brief glimpse of you without a hat! 😁
Most of Wales is spectacular. Everybody goes to north Wales and that's great, but Mid Wales gets overlooked, but it is some of the best countryside in Britain.
Simon a bloke in the mountains! Not a tree in sight! Great video as always. Such an effort - up, down and up again! Well done and Thank you for for taking the us with you!
Wow - what a hike! And it looks like you were well matched too - that's always nice. Beautiful country for certain and most excellent photography! Yes indeed, those beers were well earned. Thanks for taking us along - it's a massive pain, I know but wow! I'm thrilled to have enjoyed it vicariously through you. That Rover of yours really does take a beating. Hopefully the smoke from the tailpipe wasn't anything serious and the gear box repair won't keep you from your upcoming trip to Sweden!!!!
Wow so impressed with your day. The views were spectacular. Hairy scary climbing up the rocks and then to have to go back down for your camera. Congratulations on 4 mountains in one day.
Like I said what an amazing claim you guys did. It’s been enough climbing on grassy terrain but walking up and down all those rocks to do a number on your legs and your feet. Amazing
Thank you for this insight into the gorgeous terrain of Wales, what a spectacular hike. Not to mention, ambitious! Wonderful video, one of your very best.
Great trip and videos. I hope you managed to make it back ok. It doesn't take long to get out of shape but that climb would challenge anyone. Love the long hikes and exploring as well. Cheers to you and Jason.
Thank you for posting this journey, Simon. Beautiful scenery reminded me of the views in the Santa Monica mountains here in Calfornia. My calves were burning just watching your ascent.
Nice to see a bloke not always in the woods. Great content as always Simon. Feels like Wales’ tourism board should have sponsored this one- you make it look amazing
Incredibly fun and relaxing video as usual. I hope you and the land rover made it back. Hopefully you can visit Jason in Canada some day. Maybe do something with Joe Robinet.
thank you, Simon - a bloke climbing mountains - great to see some awesome country through the lens of your camera. Beautiful - spacious horizons. LOVE IT = ATB ps hope the land rover recovers. wouldn't want you to lose your trusty steed😁
Love the video Simon..... What a quality yomp and lucky with the weather. Last time there I wasn't so blessed😆💨🌪I also love the base camp set up.... Totally wicked with no chat until later on🤣🤣 Thanks for the ride😎👌

My mom was Welsh thanks for showing welsh countryside. What a beautiful sight.
Your telephoto lens is amazing! The shot you took long distance from the wind towers was great. Love the videos.

Awesome guys!! Simon I'm gobsmacked you taking us with you all, you must do the walk twice! Great views and fantastic weather to boot. Thanks for taking us along.!
I giggle about the altitude out there because I'm in Colorado, but you are definitely hiking more than I am. Wales is a bucket list trip.

Did I just see Simon without his screwtop HAT! that thing never comes off! Must be that thin mountain air! Love your videos SBITW!
