    Woot Woot! I did it! What do you think? Have you done any 'at home' hair transformations this quarantine or are you waiting to leave it to the professionals?

      Courtney Violetta i cut my hair to a short bob, bleached it and put a ginger on, wich didnt take because i overbleached my hair and parts in the back didnt bleach so are dark. Let's say it's a mess 🤷🏼‍♀️

      Oh no! 😟 Give it time for the ends to not be so porous and maybe try ginger color again!

      You had mentioned you normally use henna on your hair. Be careful with using hair dye on henna. Depending on what type of henna you could've caused a chemical reaction on the top of your head 😬.

      @@CourtneyVioletta I'd loveeeee to see what he thinks! You really did well! I colored my hair henna (using your Lush video) about 2 years ago, and I'm currently in the process of growing it out😅 it's taking FOREVER. I was so impressed with how much color you were able to get out!

    • @clairewillow6475

      Sarah Kreutziger same but it’s only been a few months and my roots are finally passed the really awkward phase. Maybe I’m lucky because my natural colour is strawberry blond so the red growing out doesn’t look too harsh . I feel like if I had brown or blond hair it would be annoying to grow the red henna hair out

    If you’re at some point excited to do something again, I’d reccommended getting the roots more ashy like your eyebrows. Maybe a 7A, blue will cancel out a lot of the copper tones, but since it’s so red, it will still be coppery, but just way more muted. Will look even better! but good job!

    • @CourtneyVioletta
      @CourtneyVioletta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! I’ve been using purple shampoo to help, and it definitely has, but that could definitely be a possibility in the future. I also have a beige blonde toner on standby! 😉

    fabric sissors would have probably been a better alternative than craft sissors, since they are ment to cut through fibers and if you think of it that way, hair kinda is fibre. The angle of the blade is different than with paper sissors. But I love the new look! The roots seem a little intense, but I can image it will look great once they fade.

    I loved the copper. I am strawberry blonde. But I wanted to see the copper color of my baby photos, so I followed your henna recipe and I feel like achieved the color I was born with. Now, it’s like 8 months later and I feel I want to do what you did, I want to lighten my copper to a more yellow copper. I loved the copper hair you had, but your hair, especially in the sunlight is totally beautiful and a vibrant new color. Thanks for posting your videos. Very professionally made and I love listening to your explanations. ✨❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖✨

    Before I did my first henna I did a balayage. About every 3 months when my henna fades it’s kinda a similar pattern to what I think you’ve been talking about, the ends fade to a really pretty gold tone with just a less intense copper on top & midsection.

    I think You did a pretty good job! And I understand You. I colored my hair with henna around 3 years. My hair was very healthy and I like it. What I didnt like was that my hair was every time more and more red. I have naturaly chestnut color, but with henna it almost turned burgundy. The last two years I was using just blond henna, but it didnt help - It was still darker and more red. Now I have short hair and it was natural color and I was hesitating if I should color it with henna or chemical color. I used chemical dye, but I feel my hair isnt so healthy like it was with henna. Maybe I use henna again although it hasnt the right color for me.

    I love the color! I also loved the color before you recolored :-) I also like to experiment with color remover ... but staying away from bleach cause i have no experience with that (yet). Did cut my hair a few days ago ... it was almost as long as yours (i had very long hair last year i finally did it, and also ... cut it) and now it's below shoulders. But it's so much easier. (used to have really long hair all the time before i cut it a few years ago cause i wanted a long bob) I really don't miss the long hair. I feel free! Very curious to see the balayage later on! (i think i'll be inspired too)

      Nicky Jacobs color remover is bleach

    • @studionickyjacobs

      @@Andrea-yk6of it's actually not the same

    • @Andrea-yk6of
      @Andrea-yk6of 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicky Jacobs it depends on the concrete product we are talking about, but most of them have some form of bleach in it. To remove dye you have to open the hair cuticle and the only way to penetrate it is through some kind of bleach.

    • @studionickyjacobs
      @studionickyjacobs 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Andrea-yk6of makes sense though. I used colorfix yesterday ... been using it for 10 years now (like 2 times a year) but then again i never put heat on my hair ... so i never have damage from it. I also dilute it a lot with shampoo. (so also no developer) i do think it has to be less damaging ... but it all depends on what you do to your hair (or don't).

    I’m going through the same henna color shedding process atm and its so damn hard!! tried to do coconut oil bunch of times... tried to lift it with oops and did two processes of baking soda with dandruff shampoo. My hair is still orange 😪Now I’m gonna try to use a non bleach powder to lift it more and use a toner on top of it 🤞🏻🤞🏻crossing my fingers!! If all fails and I end up drying my hair I’m getting myself a human wig from amazon and never doing henna again🤣🤣

      Carmen Kittle After using oops and applying baking soda with dandruff paste in my hair I applied Clairol Kaleidocolors Powder Lightener which really helped lift my hair. My hair was really brassy so I applied toner over it. Worked out fine. But I really regret following tips from TH-camrs claiming baking soda and dandruff shampoo paste or vitamin C pastes will work. Don’t do it. It only made my hair much more dry and didn’t lift the color.

    If you can find them, definitely get a pair of shears. Even a new, sharp pair of regular scissors isn’t going to solve the issue. A good pair of shears as no space between the blades when the scissors are closed- this way you get a clean, precise cut.
    I did cringe when you said you were going to leave the color in for 20 mins!😫 Reason being is that hair grabs color quick after stripping it with Color Oops. I’m a DIY hair stylist for decades😂 and I’ve done A LOT to my hair! I too love a natural copper color (had medium auburn as a kid that’s faded to yuk. I’m 54 and need gorgeous color!). For summer, I love the copper, strawberry blonde and blonde on you! Very pretty!!😊

    I personally think it looks amazing ! You did a great job for doing this by yourself and at home 💖👍 It really goes with your skin tone a LOT, your eyes and face just pop so much ....also I think your mom was kinda being a hater at first lol. Toot your horn girl , because you slayed it
