I followed this on my 1gb fibre-fed wi-fi router and the wi-fi went from 524 download 391 upload to 937 download and 884 upload - i.e. close to the maximum speed. Now I can watch 4k videos without them freezing. Thanks Liron :)

My provider gives 30mbps for 4$ and 100 for 10$. 150mbps is 14$ and u also get free Netflix and Amazon prime subscription along with it. No data caps ofcourse 😂

Liron Segev could you help me please. i was able to change my channel but i also want to change my dns however on the sky website it says dynamic dns and it requires a host name and sky customer service did not recommend me changing dns as i will be exposed to hacking e.t.c. so what will be my host name,user name and password? would really appreciate if you could help
@@Sonofsalem0 What this video tells you is that you should find the least used channel and change your routers channel for that. It wont make your internet faster as such. It will just make your connection to the router faster. If your internet is slow then it wont help. But if the bottleneck is your wifi then it will. If you have a 10Mbps internet then it wont suddenly make it 15Mbps. If 10Mbps is what you pay for then you wont get more than that.

Im a spectrum internet and voice repair agent, i cant stress enough how much this actually works. The big issue we see is interference over the wifi. Changing channels and getting off of auto is the number one way to avoid this. If you live in an apartment...good luck. Also, dont expect to get more speeds than you're paying for, this just helps in reaching those speeds over wifi. At most you'll get 25% over you're subscribed speeds. P.s. please stop yelling at us when u call in. We're here to help u and yelling at us only makes us blow u off.

I'm a Spectrum Technician and I agree with this comment. Lets say if you're paying for 100×10, the most you're going to get is around 117 at the most. Apartments are the worst. Everyone router is set on auto and its killing everyone that's in the same complex.
Dude I get 5 down and 0.8 up I pay for 25mbps. I've tried everything. Switching channels. going to Ethernet. Changing routers. Calling the ISP(which did nothing because every thing they said was just dumb) The ISP is literally 1 km away. I know some stuff about networking but idk what to do. Idk if I'm just limited by the ISP or something else
@@chrislamp sounds like you might need to get a tech out there. Id need to see your signal levels to pin point the issue, but just going off of the fact that you're not getting the speeds hardlined is a big tell. More than likely a line issue. Just bcuz the agent says everything looks fine doesnt mean so. I couldnt tell you how many times signal levels were perfect, but i run a ping test to the modem and there's ping spikes. Run a continuous ping using the command prompt. Monitor it for maybe a minute and see if u get any spikes. You'll know when one of them are more than double the rest.

Even after the fix the speed still was way down. I tried seeing what channels the others were on and changed it but no. I even changed it to 5ghz but still. The problem is on their side.
I like how I moved to my new home in a new location and went from 700 MBPS to 20 to 40 MBPS. I have the latest Xfinity model and router. Now I have to wait for a Xfinity worker to be available to alter and optimize my Wi-Fi.
Just make sure you have checked your line speed being received by your router. It is possible your ISP is giving you a slower connection than you had before. In that case, no optimizing of your router would make much difference until the speed you receive is improved.

look... if you get 1 mbps chances are your download wil be about 100kbps like if you get 10mbps thats 1mbps of download cuz thats how it almost works.. supernet is about 75 mbps and up... thats impossible to get without paying extra cash... cuz your isp most likely will limit how much speed your getting... unless you hack it...and thats unless you know it all advanced cuz they can track you.. and prolly be fined... im just spitting the truth.. theres no way out of this..
Another helpful tip that most people aren’t aware of, is to make sure all of your coax connections are tight (preferably, quarter of an inch turn with a 7/16th wrench). Not only behind the modem, but at every splitter or demarcation point in your house. This will decrease any possibility of signal interference (FM noise) and can improve WiFi speed/signal. If you’re still experiencing slow WiFi speeds, call your local cable provider and get a tech to run you some new lines. It’s honestly worth the charge. Ty for vid!

look... if you get 1 mbps chances are your download wil be about 100kbps like if you get 10mbps thats 1mbps of download cuz thats how it almost works.. supernet is about 75 mbps and up... thats impossible to get without paying extra cash... cuz your isp most likely will limit how much speed your getting... unless you hack it...and thats unless you know it all advanced cuz they can track you.. and prolly be fined... im just spitting the truth.. theres no way out of this..

Another helpful tip that most people aren’t aware of, is to make sure all of your coax connections are tight (preferably, quarter of an inch turn with a 7/16th wrench). Not only behind the modem, but at every splitter or demarcation point in your house. This will decrease any possibility of signal interference (FM noise) and can improve WiFi speed/signal. If you’re still experiencing slow WiFi speeds, call your local cable provider and get a tech to run you some new lines. It’s honestly worth the charge. Ty for vid!
