Btw don’t change any of this if you’re not experiencing issues, if you do it can make your ping and connection worse, but if you are having packet loss and similar issues then I fully recommend following these guides
Just a quick observation. Enabling Jumbo Frames will generally lead to packet fragmentation on the Internet and could increase latency and packet retransmission. I would not recommend this for general Internet connectivity.
@shawnferrari1533 I didn't use all of your settings. I do have specific settings I use. I use SpeedNet TCP guidelines as a basis for my tweaking, as configured through SG TCP Optimizer. Most adapter settings I leave at default, but I do turn off IPv6 and tweak my DNS using Portmaster.
i dont know why anyone would configure manual the nic instead tuning your router and so on. also increasing speed to max can lead to speed missmatch, for example: you have 10gigabit interface setting this to maximum and your router is on gig max and so on. there are so many things you can do to increase application performance but i would recommend anyone to mess with manual network card configuration „per client“.
Jumbo Frame: Leaving Jumbo Frame disabled unless you specifically require it is the fourth most recommended option. Enabling Jumbo Frame without proper support from your network infrastructure or devices can potentially lead to connectivity issues.
The restart did nothing for me. It said ethernet not plugged in. If you're also having this issue, the solution for me was to lower my max Speed and Duplex setting to the second highest level, so 100 Mbps Full Duplex, otherwise it doesn't work
