When I was using AT&T for broadband, I was supposed to be getting 50 Mbs, but I usually was in to 35-40 Mbs range. I called them and was told, after some testing and resetting that, since I was getting 75% of what I was supposed to get, there was no issue. Solid information but I would only add one thing. There are dishonest techs that work for the ips's. And the service May encourage them to be that way. But first I'll say not all of them are dishonest. That being said, don't let them do like one tried to do to me. He kept insisting I was getting the 200 MBS that I was paying for because he could see it on the cable on his side of the router. I was only seeing 40 to 50 MBS on my side of the router. He thought I was stupid. They lost me as a customer and when the provider kept calling me to try to get me to come back I told him I wouldn't because I didn't like being lied to by their technicians.

Check your modem/router can support all your devices. 1. check your modem/router settings and all the connected devices. 2. Check for damaged cables. 3. Check for bottle necks: Modem or Router. I have a unique situation for you... I want better LAN distribution over my two WAN connections. I have an openwrt based load balancing duel WAN router. Even when multiple devices attempt to connect to a server the load balancer always only uses one of the internet connections at a time. It will switch back and forth between WAN's but always sending traffic down only one connection at a time. I would like to know if there is a mwan3 rule or policy which will route new connections to the "least" active WAN connection? My DSL connections are only... 5.5Mb/s and 6.5Mb/s 😞 Ao you can understand the frustration... Example: I am downloading a file using most/all the bandwidth of one connection and my daughter turns on the TV to watch Netflix and she constantly gets the pausing buffer circle because the load balancer is fixated on using only one of the connections at a time instead of routing her traffic down the other connection improving the experience for the both of us???

my Wi-Fi was getting less than 1 mbps while using 2.4g then I try the 5g my Wi-Fi go to the normal Wi-Fi speed thank you so much
Thanks Much !
You're welcome!
Awesome 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you
You're welcome
What could cause my WiFi to run at higher speeds consistently than LAN cable? Given I’m on the t mobile gateway home internet. I’ve worked on the industry for some years and never ran across this issue.
thanks bro
Great tips! Gotta say though, I'm a little disappointed you didn't actually use the hammer you're brandishing in the thumbnail
🛠 Time 😆
I hae problem with upload speed being 0.0 when it should be 5.0, i have reported problem, but two months later and n o fix on horizon
Mr. Sergev, I have a new (relatively new) Linksys WRT 3200 ACM Gigabit wifi router - it's not being used. Am I able to configure it to be a range extender/signal booster for my wifi needs? If I am able to do so, how? Thank you, Sir.
put it on tall pole with reflectors
Hi I am using B628-350 router and it works well inside home but outside it disconnect so what kind of antenna shall I use pleas healp
i fixed my internet speed by getting rid of landline broadband (20mbps) and got a 4G+ (LTE-A) sim router (240mbps)
it worked for me my internet speed was at 90 mgbs now 500mgbs
will software like dd-wrt increase the speed of the old router? I think mine does say 100 mbps
I should've watched this video rather than acting upon the thumbnail. Now my computer is in worse shape.
5.5Mb/s and 6.5Mb/s 😞
Ao you can understand the frustration...
@Stephen Coste ? Copper hits DSL modem which translates into a WAN connection for the built in router..
Thumbs up is used for your music library. After you build it with thumbs up you can then go to your liked section and press "PLAY ALL or SHUFFLE" THEN YOU have a music library. Hit the button and enjoy.
Love the click bate, your expression and the hammer with the caption.
I need to laugh to make it through another day. Thanks
Im only having issues with Upload Speeds, I didn't have issues before this week. But downloads im getting upto 600Mbps. I have a powerful PC and i have it Wired and idk why it started messing up. I have tried a lot from contacting my internet provider too fixing a lot settings in my PC
I have my mobile data via a sim, I use it as a hotspot on my computer, my internet is usually slow, and keeps buffering, Iand keeps disconnecting, I paid for speed of at least 20, but sometimesit goes as low as 2, what can I do?
Paying for gig down. Still not getting wifi over 300. 4 calls, 3 tech visits, equipment and wires replaced twice. Still am not getting the speed and they refuse to say it's their router when the same devices get better speed elsewhere and when they are hardwired. Fed up with my ISP.
I have a question if anyone can help. Can i use a Mesh router as a wifi repeater/extender to my already owned router provided by my service provider? Thanks before hand.
Thank you, it's really helpful✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️
thx :)
thx and very thank ful my wi-fi was 1mp now29m
i dont even have a lan/ethernet cable, is that the problem?
What if your internet comes in by telephone, wireless or cable?
same thing applies. You pay for X speed that they promised you. Once it hits your router/ modem, you should be getting close to that speed.
@@LironSegev i tested all my connections last night. I am about 20-30% of what I am paying for.
I tested before my router, after my router, on my laptop. Then I tested my wifi all around the house.
All my readings no matter how I was hooked up came out the same speed
@@brexit9279 perfect. So now call your ISP
7:03 not to disagree but there are different kinds of networking cable. Besides ethernet and FIber there is also using the TV Wire (called Moca), using the phone wire (called Home HPA) and finally there is using the power line (called Home Plug).
i got a tmobile gateway, i got it hooked up to a router which i found out i had to get a vpn just to bypass the gateway because i couldn't get the nat type open on my xbox series x an s...its just stuck in strict nat, but thats not the point. i get like 30mbps on my router an it seems to router is getting zapped an was wondering is that a common thing? or is something wrong with my router? i'm kinda wet behind the ears on techie stuff. just would like to get my mind back cuz i am loosing it.
Several times Bell Canada promised a speed but did not deliver it. Each time they explained that i was too far away from them (I live 550 m away). In each case I was able to get a discount.
crazy
we pay for 500mps per second but the give us just 7mbps
I dream of the speeds shown in your video, the maximum possible speed on my connection in Oz is 119Mbps
I wish i had that speed, i get like 2mbps but they promised atleast 400mbps and at like 5 am i get like 70mbps
What is the best free WiFi speed test app to use.
I have 50 Mbps connection and im using 1 Gbps ports but the problem is why my internet is not smooth? Why websites took long time to load and why youtube videos took long time to buffer ?
i have mobile internet and it doesnt say a fixed number between internet speed just says the maximum is between 30-100mbps
just update your os and then unplug jour pc- plug only when you want to use the internet
We’re do I find the link for this device please
Can you help me? I get random lag spikes while playing videogames, its unstable. I saw a video that fixes it, but it breaks my internet adapter where I cant connect to the Wi-Fi after restarting my laptop. Then I reinstall the internet adapter, I can connect to the internet but I have lag spikes again and unstability. 😵😵😭
Wifi speed also depends on your router, like I was using a tp link c6 and had a 50mbps connection I used to get around 24 mbps when testing then I replaced it with a Google nest wifi and then when tested I was getting around 42 mbps
Correct, I have a 250M plan and use Netgear router modem combo. Often only get no more than 10M speed, I disabled its router and connect a new tp-link router, always get full speed at second test, first test always bad, like modem is sleeping and need to wake up at first try. I ordered a new Motorola modem, will see if it works after several days.
@@evanzhang445 oh how come so slow? should atleast give half the speed, is it fiber connections?
@@heavenlyxtacy cable connection, I think it’s my modem issue, It’s a used modem when I bought it on eBay four years ago.
@@evanzhang445 I think you have some other issue like with the cable or something, try to get some friends modem and try before purchasing new. you don't get fiber optics connections at your place?
@@heavenlyxtacy after connected a new router, speed start from several Mbs and then climbing to 100 Mbs at the end. Click test again, it will start with full 250 Mbs speed quickly. It’s been improved a lot.
What if you live in a small apartment with 5 floors & 50 mbps from your isp?
thx
In Australia we have some of the worst internet in the world.
My WiFi is Fine... Now, if anyone has a patch for Visible(Verizon) android hotspot throttling...
bro acting like we not all kids watching this
My internet is so slow I can’t even watch this video
