What a treat to see you two driving down our street, right in front of our new home! If you had been George Cluny and Julia Roberts driving by, I wouldn’t have cared. But, “OMG! The premiere section is called Heathrow on Lake Deaton (HOLD for short). The garden behind Lake Deaton United Methodist Church is a beautiful little butterfly garden with benches and butterfly houses. Enjoy your videos-keep up the good work.
Comment....Very nice homes. We were just there visiting for the week 5th - 12th of July 2023. The villages are a very unique community and very nice. My wife and I are 50 and 48 and plan to retire in about 7 to 8 years and the villages is just one of the places we are looking. We were amazed and how nice things are there and with what is happing with the economy and I'm wondering how future generations will be able to afford such places and how things will look in 15 or 20 years that is my only concern. If you visit, my suggestion is to rent something in the middle of the villages somewhere close to Hillsborough trail between Morse blvd and Buena Vista blvd, get in a golf cart and car and explore north, south, east and west from sun up to sun down. There are all types of homes and the prices are all over the place. You can watch all the videos you want and it does help, but you have to go there and do some exploring if you really want to get an idea of just how big this place is and what it has to offer. We rented and Airbnb for a week that included a golf cart and drove all over like our lives depended on it and was glad we did because it gave us completely different perspective other than just watching all the video.

I was so delighted to see you there.❤❤ Remember, between 5pm and 9pm allof the squares are entertaining. That may be one of the reason the neighborhoods seem empty. I find it a nice time to do my grocery shopping. 😂

LDUMC purchased the land from The Villages and as a part of the purchase agreement was for golf cart access. The segregated cart parking at LDUMC was also part of that agreement to prevent non-Villages residents from using the path and gaining access to The Villages and using it as a cut through. There are several other communities on 44A that have golf carts.

I must say that those AED Machines located in the Villages, and the fact that you have volunteers to man them is a great attribute , to those retirees that still want to give back to their community! Thank you both for sharing your version of the Villages in FLA!

Like the space between the homes, not as close as they are in other areas of TV. That’s one thing we learned when we visited this spring - that we would need a home with a bit more outdoor space. Nice video - Gizmo is so cute back there! 🌴⛳️❤️

Premier lighting for Premier neighborhood!
It's easy to add a beeper to the turn signals. It's easy to leave the turn signals on without one. Just do a search on how to do it or for a few bucks more buy a kit. If it's too loud just wrap some duct tape around it.
We have beepers. I am one of the guilty ones… I frequently left it on after we moved here.
I LOVE your channel... I walk around the house with "send us your questions, we've got your answers...." in my head...so catchy... I am 31 but envy the life out there!

Oops, hit comment too soon. I wanted to say thank you so much for the reminder about the Awesome cleaner from the dollar tree. I have tan interior in my car and the Colorado winters have left is more black than tan. After hearing your comment in the video about using it for the lizard incident, I ran out and got some to use on my car. One go around and it looks like new, I shudder to think what might be in the stuff,,, the fumes are strong, but I So don’t care! It’s clean!!! For the first time in years, Thank you so very much Linda!💜

Thanks for the million dollar views or nearly so. Beautiful place. That is the thing I loved about The Villages as I never met a snobby person. So those living in manufactured homes or the small villas never felt like those in other neighborhoods looked down on them.
We feel like the people that live here are fantastic. Being a large city however, you are going to get all kinds. We just have to remember that the good outnumber the grumpy by a huge margin.

Beautiful cart ride! My wife and I, along with our granddaughter, will be down in two weeks from SC to visit my mother in law in Linden. Looking forward to the morning walks in her area, seeing her friends and eating at Willie Jewell’s and the McDonalds where we always meet new and old (not as in age) friends! Tell Gizmo my granddaughter makes me fast forward to his portion of the videos! Maybe we’ll see ya when we get there. Oh yea, I’m also looking forward to seeing my mother in law! 😂

We thought so too. I had heard you mention it before, but yesterday I called a Villages sales agent and was told no, there are no plans for Premier homes. I belong to the old school where there is smoke there is fire… so I'm going with you on this one, Don.
They are only allowed to say what is for sale right now, when you ask, and not allowed to discuss or disclose anything that has not been publicly announced. When I worked in sales it was called SWAT - Sell What’s Available Today.
Jerry and Linda, when you can, keep showing the homes throughout The Villagers !!!
I love road trip ( Cart Ride ) I like this neighborhood .
It would take me a month or longer just to figure out what kind of home, I would like. I don't suddenly make a decision. As goes for mostly everything.
I am a very picky person. I have been a house hunter (checking out homes is a passion of mine) , I have been doing this for 30 years.
I like the newest idea to remodel or buying a new home. This area , you are riding in, looks very nice including the homes. I love palm trees, I wished we could have them here
in the Midwest.

That's some impressive image stabilization! I love these absolutely beautiful drives and how you emphasize safety with both hand AND electric turn signals. You do a great job telling us where you are and what we're seeing. And I'm with Linda - I'm always happy when I smell someone cooking! I used to work in an office where my commute took me through an area that had several Italian restaurants with "garlic" in their names and as I drove through on the highway each night, I could smell the garlic as I passed through there. So yummy!

Regarding the roundabout capital of the world- that is correct. We lived in Fishers Indiana, right next to Carmel, and they are everywhere! Not just in Carmel, but Fishers and Noblesville as well. At first they are slightly annoying, but you learn to love them because they direct traffic so much more efficiently than stop lights everywhere. The engineers in that area did a fantastic job.

I’m in a Del Webb community here in South Carolina and we are in a home with 3800 square feet. Yes, the Villages should build larger homes!

Each time you referred to alligators, youtube cut to a commercial. Like a cliffhanger. The first mention of seeing one along the ride was funny. Loving this drive and conversation along the way. I know what you mean about the 'dead cat muff'....odd name for those air buffer things or what have you. Also surprised to hear 'Amish'....up here tons of Amish come out to Reading Terminal Market and Farmer's Markets in the city of Philadelphia.

Around 7:18 when you saw the gators head in water. During the first view, while i was making something in the kitchen, the video cut to a commercial just then. On second view, it hasn't yet cut to a commercial, but it was kind of funny the first time.

When you started to talk about the roundabouts, I thought you haven't been to Carmel yet. I second the notion that Carmel has the most roundabouts.

In Carmel Indiana there are 142 roundabouts. I live in Westfield which is close to Carmel, in Hamilton County Indiana
