    My head is a little bit mixed up, KTM has a new Adventure 390cc and then this WR200cc is coming as well. Perhaps I will take both unicorns, one for short off road and one for long range.

    Soooo, Why does the pictures show a older 2 stroke model . Full dirt bike not a dual sport.Some one needs to do there homework before reporting.

    I think they needed to stay with the 2 stroke 200cc engine. I had that bike, mine was a 1992. O absolute loved the 2 stroke, with all the stuff on the new bike, it would seem to be grossly underpowered. I’m not interested in a new 4 stroke because there are way too many uninteresting 4 strokes. The 2 stroke most certainly was way more lively. I’d take my 1992 WR200RD over any new 4 stroke especially in the trails.

    most people would like to choose yamaha racing machine for Trail purposes. because it is lighter and more power. but it has no light. on Trail you need light especial fog light there are places that are foggy you cannot clearly see even at daytime.. in the mountain like our country when it rains the jungle can be so dark, because of the tall trees. most of all there must be a stop light. when you suddenly have to stop, like encountering poisonous snake or others. riders on your back must know it. that is the most reason that cause many accident. there must also be a Horn, if you are the last rider and you have problem, accident or motor break down or you need medical attention. it will take hours for other riders to know that you are not with them. it is when you press your horn means you are in distress. Yamaha racing machine so tall... . on the motor cross the taller the better the race track is pure soil. but on trail your feet must be flat on the ground. most you need your feet to push your way in mad, river crossing, when the rear tire just spinning or climbing up hill to keep your balance... For us asian the average height is 5 feet to 5.7 feet tall. like me I am 5.6 feet. i reduce 2 inches the rear shock and 2 inches the front fork my KLX150L, so my feet is flat on the ground. actually the ground clearance can be compensated. in my country people use motorcycle as way of carrying passenger deep in the mountain. they called habal habal riders. were no 4 wheel transportation can go. they use HONDA TM or SKYGO 150 these motor use 17 inches wheel and their ground clearance is less then one foot. and they can still travel well on trail road better than us who use dual sport motorcycle. Actually by experience 18 by 21 inch wheel is good for trail . than the 16 by 19 inch wheel.like the KLX150S ....So to compensate reducing the ground clearance is the only way. like my KLX150L i can change the tire to 16 by 19 or convert it to MOTARD or super motor which use 17inch tire front and back. but i chose to lower the shock by 2 inch front and rear. so why not make motorcycle fitted for asian and tall bike fitted or american. i am really enchanted with Yamaha WR450 lighter because of aluminum frame and plastic fuel tang, more power. and the macho look, in our language (bien paliquero). but in my country it is very expensive. already the price of a small brand new car.

    yamaha is going backward. KTM has the 390ADV-R , suzuki revised DRZ400/SM, Honda CRF450L, i want a WR350-400R/X
