    The wr155 really fits my needs as a commuter bike. Still running stock with nearly 30,000km on it and still gives power. I can still reach up to 110-120kph till now (im 6'1" and around 95kgs).. The only downside is the headlights which is a bit dim and thats it.. Also, for the last 2 years with it, i have seen some small paint that have cracked off but there are no rust on it, especially on the weld lines.. Very durable and reliable bike for me on daily use... Note i always do a weekly check on my bike and im a bit religious on maintenance and oil change.. Excellent bike for a tall mid heavy rider like me..😊

    I recently sold my wr 155 to a friend. I owned it for 2 years and the bike was amazing used ito for the philippine loop never had a problem. Tuning ability is amazing had mine with a programmable ecu and t-4 exaust and i could keep up with a crf250 for hours on end

    I like your vids sir, you cover some great stuff. I like the Honda better because it's air cooled which means one less system to have to worry about breaking. I wish these smaller displacement bikes were sold where I live. Cheers from the USA!

    I'm leaning on getting the crf150l, as I have an xsr155 it's a pain in maintenance and I want a different feel for the engine. Although the "high" price point and same quality to the xsr150l really turns me off. I think it's better to just get the xr150l having an extra 50k, just upgrade the hell out of it.

      Agree, kind of. Wish at least they would install the same godly seats onto CRF as XR has. Also no sure how easy that would be to install the rear rack and saddlebags on CRF. Considering a dual-sport for the future (pillion should be in comfort too!), and there's not so many options for this segment. Considering simplicity and a bit more power, KLX230 is also a great option, but a bit more costly ofc (~190k PHP). But the questions about rack and good seats remains the same.

    The CRF 150 engine really lacks a bit of grunt specially when offroading and tackling a steep hill .. But it is bullet proof, A proven engine design since the TMX 155. Looks - it is subjective and yes, the WR155 looks like a China bike.. ;-)

      Unsure about WR155, but actually heard numerous times that budget Hondas are in fact China-made. What comes to the steep hills, you might counter that by changing the sprocket for more torque.

    What you said about the bearings being dry in the triple tree, I've seen another video who happened to showcase exactly that
    issue on a Honda 450. He'd mentioned something about cheaper labor where it was manufactured & they cut corners on lube
    to all the bearings? I wouldn't know to check if it were not for you & his report. You do not think of this on a new bike & really
    I'd not expect a problem for years unless I road the hell out of the bike. peace

    • @markk2745
      @markk2745 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am not mechanically inclined but my knuckle bearings i think that's the bearing you're talking about started going defective after 1 year and i had to have them replaced. I think most mechanics can do this may be suggestion is go to a mechanic and ask them to heavily lubricate all of the important parts including the knuckle bearing luckily was only about 2,000 pesos to replace the bearing but still i felt it should not go bad within one year considering i rarely right off road and don't do jumps. That's probably the biggest problem i had with my crf150l in 2 years and 22,000 km so it's a very good motorcycle.

    • @diggy-d8w
      @diggy-d8w หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for that Mark, that was exactly the info I was hoping to learn as IDKnow what dual sport I'll end up with as I
      try to save up. What I do know, this little 150L will be a good choice if I can't get more of a bike? That said, I already
      know most the MOD's I'll want/need to make the bike function for me & knowing any/all possible issues ahead of the
      fact are paramount in my riding safely. The bearings have been brought to my attention before I saw this so I'm glad
      to hear it so I can be ready to have it dealt with at the dealer prior to taking the bike out of the dealership. I'd probably
      pay to have bark buster/hand guards put on by the dealer & to have them grease up the bearings as well. What I've
      found is that Honda builds some bikes in other countries using labor that is not as talented & cutting corners on the
      amounts of grease used. I know that sounds stupid but I've heard about this problem from 4-5 places already and
      then from one who knows about the manufacture of Honda's in his area, he said that his boss told them to use
      less grease so that w/ the humid conditions and/or the shipping allows moisture to work on those under-lubed
      joints making them fail faster. Also the bearings might not be that good & truth be known, it might be wise to
      buy another new bearing & have that installed just to make sure that corner wasn't cut as well? The one place
      on a bike you can't afford to be messed up is the front triple-tree, your control over everything. Thank you much!

    I have a CRF 150 L. I got it new in December 2023. I like it most of the time BUT the engine makes this annoying rattling noise. I am told that this is normal. ? BS! Honda would never deliberately design an engine with a built in rattle noise. That would have been a deal breaker if I had known in advance, but in PH, you are never allowed to test drive before you buy.
