@@Ai-Galaxy-GS - I went to dermatologist (recommended by doctor) she did blood work, interviewed me, the whole nine years. What is the concept of microneedling? I am seeking advice on how microneedling the scalp causes hair regrowth. I understand that by causing micro wounds to the scalp tissue, our bodies react by signalling more growth factors to the wounds. So far I haven't had any luck with microneedling and have tried multiple protocols. My hair loss is just getting worse and am paranoid that the microneedling has contributed to this. Until I have a conceptual understanding, I am reluctant to continue. So I have a few questions such as: Treatment frequency??? Is the aim to wound the follicles before fibrosis occurs (which would clogs the pores) but only once inflammation has subsided (how long is that?), or fibrosis shouldn't occur with the right needle length and we can needle once a month or so to play it safe. Needle length??? Are we looking to penetrate the entire epidermis layer or just enough to clean out the excess collagen/calcium. I know people have had great success using 1.5mm but also many haven't, maybe for some of us 1.5mm causes excessive inflammation and isn't required to just clean out the slight blockage at the top of the epidermis. In my experience I tend to believe those like myself who still have a lot of their hair; don't require anything more than 0.5mm, as this may cause fibrosis and/or excess inflammation to surrounding follicles which contain hair. I think over time the excess collagen/calcification gets out of control and by then most hairs have fallen out, so 1.5mm is required. This is only speculation and would love to read about your opinions/experiences.
How often can u use a 0.5mm dermaroller ? I'm impressed seeing all the results of the microneedling..but I'm considering starting it 0.5mm wondering if I can do it 3 times a week ?

side effects are minimal, use the correct amount headaches only happen for a couple days and there not bad there like very slight throbbing witch is good as thats a sign of increased blood flow

Your hair follicles are buried 1.5 mm to 2 mm inside your scalp. The needles need to be long enough to reach them. And if you'll notice, dermapen results tend to be much more dramatic than dermaroller progress. I guess that's because the dermapen is more efficient at doing its job of puncturing your skin sudden and hard. But if I were you I'd numb my scalp with lidocaine or something first.
@@charlesben9104 It's possible that the shedded hairs weren't firmly attached to your hair follicles anyway, so these hairs had to fall out to make room for strong, healthy hair. You might want to give the dermapen a chance.

Balding and can't take fin. Should I jump on dermarolling and min ? In afraid it will be a short term solution only
I would try it. Currently, even hair loss meds lose efficacy if you stop. It has to be a long term commitment.
oribv1324 Bert Kreischer, the comedian has been using only minoxodil since the late 1990s and he still has his hair. It’s receding sure but he should be bald. The worst thing you can do is nothing and the early you start the better it’ll be. You can add years to your hairs life!
What Reddit group do you find these hair results
3:07 did this guy dermaroll alone without any other medication?
How often should you do it? I do it for 3xwk and then take a week off. Is that ok?
I'd recommend about twice a week to allow healing.
Ok thank you.
Depend on the individual. The most I can do is 1x week for my scalp to heal. 2x week would be the max imo.
@deadbutdreaming 1 to 1.5 mm. Front part of my head hurts like hell so I have to drop it to 1 mm.
HAIRLICIOUSLY I think between you and Debbie Williams you guys are the most knowledgeable people here on TH-cam about hair issues
sandilor??? am i saying that right?
Is the guy at 6:47 the same guy from your other video who went from a norwood 7 to a norwood 3??
Hi! Do you know if you can micro-needle while you use tretynoin daily on your temples and face?
I would apply it 24 hours later to avoid possible sides
does Novophane lotion really work
I am currently using a 0.5mm micro needle with 5% minoxidil. Do you recommend getting a larger needle size?
If you're seeing good results, I would stick with it. The study done were all using 1.5mm. You can always go up and see if better improvement can be seen.
HAIRLICIOUSLY Thanks!
Tanner Dombrowski Have you had any success?
Any update
Means once we purchase derma roller ,once it use then we have to throw it.is it only for one use
I would recommend replacing it after 5-6 uses as the needles get dull.
I have a question .Does micro needling something like derma roller can cause damage to the hair follicle. Is it like hair follicle comes out on using roller.
Hey man! Im so happy with all the tips and knowledge you share. Keep up the good work. Also what was the average time span between the before and after photo??
Also what’s the most are you willing to spend on a transplant over all , and that means several transplant , in overall how much are you willing to spend
I just started this and rogaine! hope i see some results!
ArtyBicardi any update?
I love when you post before and after results. This is encouraging.
A lot of us don’t want to take lab-made products like minoxidil, dust, fin, etc
Can you talk more on the efficacy of essential oils like rosemary, carrier oils like castor oil, and herbs like eclipta alba?
It doesnt work Michael, there was a guy here on youtube that made a one year test with rosemary and castor oil, and if anything he just got worse...
I’ve been doing castor oil rosemary vitamin e neem oil haha you name the oil and I’ve probably tried it and nothing not one difference in hair regrowth. I’m now using a 0.3 micro pen but with no minoxidil- makes me sick. Now I’m thinking of using garlic or onion?!
caty2ful I mean in conjunction with dermarolling and other practices. I don’t think there is any one thing alone that will give significant results universally. Look up ‘eclipta alba vs minoxidil’ on google
Try coffee oil
@@Michael-gq9cdYes, but that guy used dermarolling too...it doesnt work, unfortunately, I wish too. His name is Nick Shell.
how many times can u use the needles after thowing it away?
I recommend replacing after each use although some reuse it 2-3x by sanitizing it with alcohol
forever
Quick Question: Would you recommend a 1.5 mm Derma Roller with 192 Needles or a 1.5mm Derma Roller with 540 needles? Thanks
192 since they're real needles. The 540 needles are not actual needles.
@@hairliciously Any other benefit from fewer needles. I have both 540 and 192. The 192 I got from your website and just curious if my logic for more needles equals added results. But idk
some say the fewer needles results in less hairs getting tangled. My logic is that more needles create more wounding but I would use the 192 since they're actual individual needles vs. the 540 which isn't. As far as micro needling, same thing. I use the 36 pin needles instead of the 12.
Yes it's showing results
I’ve been doing 1mm for a month and haven’t noticed much results. Should I switch to 1.5mm? Does it hurt or bleed at 1.5?
1.5mm pinches a little. I use medium pressure and it never bleed. YMMV.
NoName don't know if you find a solution to your situation but 1,5 mm weekly worked great for me.
Good luck to you.
Great video!
You are doing good work
Why are the big 3? Finasteride, minoxidil and?
nizoral
Does Microneedling work even a little bit on the Hairline?
It does work on the hairline. That's what I use it for new hairs have appeared and have been doing it for 7 months. It does work just dont expect super fast results it will take time even years but it does work
thank you for your videos, it gives hope to us people who are suffering from hairloss. Looking forward on purchasing your products man
I‘m scared to use 1.5 I use 0.5 is that ok aswell?
1.5 hurts sooo bad
@@mayanknjays3085 like I thought 🙄
@@lucasvonsena6456 i saw a video where a person use .5 mm everyday for 5 min and have some good results but its quite hectic for me to do it everyday so i decided pain over time
Im afraid to use derma rolling/needling with ketoconazole
Minoxidil sounds fine but getting ketoconazole in the blood when u use it indefinitely doesn’t sound like a good idea
I've been doing dermarolling for about 3 months one to twice a week. I use the shampoo, I didn't notice anything different side effects wise. The medicine in the shampoo comes from an oral medication, but you can check with your dermatologist/doctor with any further questions.
roxcyn i am a doctor
Ketoconazole in higher concentrations as a result of dermaroller may not be a good idea. You cannot get a definite answer from a doctor whether this is safe or not. It may affect liver function tests at higher concentrations
😊
What do you think about laser helmets?
it's a good hair loss tool to use in conjunction with current hair loss meds.
Appreciate you effort by motivating people to think 100 ways to go before hair transplant
3 weeks? Maybe 1/2 an inch. How is that possible?
If you are doing a dermaroller
How large does the needle have to be?
0.5, 1mm, 1.5mm?
Same question
1.5mm is the recommended size
@@hairliciously I'm using 1mm and I'm bleeding from it, 1.5mm would be really bloody
For safety, always go for 0.5mm!
Is this for real?
why doesnt it work on me?
I would have tried Minoxidil if it wasnt a medicine with side effect. Problem is you will loose your hair again if you stop using it.
Prince_Khan if you stop quickly. Use it for 1 year
In The Dm's i heard that the one Minoxidil which is from hair restorationlaboratories doesnt have side effects like the one from Kirkland. If you stop using The one from hair restorationlaboratories you will not loose your hair. I will order it soon and use it with Dr Pen from Ebay or amazon.
@@LensChronicle that has to be cap
Are Microneedling results permanent? Will it it regenerate and grow my hair for life??
Loaded with hair fibers
@4:20 is it just me or does that guy have a skull in his hair in the right pic?
gamefreakjoey yeah
I see it
Would micro needling also benefit beard growth?
Yes
That guy with the quadrant display only micro needles? I’m about to start using minoxidil but am afraid of the side effects.
side effects are minimal, use the correct amount headaches only happen for a couple days and there not bad there like very slight throbbing witch is good as thats a sign of increased blood flow
What’s your American accent?
Just needles my dome hope it helps
Does this work for the very frontal hairline?
Yes microneedling does work on the hairline!
I’ve already subscribed, pleaseeeeee make you video sup 6 to 5 minutes so i can watch all of you video regularly 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
How long should one scalp microneedling session last?
Anyone face hard shedding after micro needling?
1.5mm though on some parts of my scalp can feel it hitting the bone lol
If you, or anyone here has any experience using topical anesthetics, can one be highly recommended? The reason for asking should be obvious. I can’t tolerate the pain/discomfort long enough, and I’m only going as deep as 1.0 mm. Thanks in advance. Mahalo!🤙
What size of microneedling is recommended for hair growth? Any opinions here?
Your hair follicles are buried 1.5 mm to 2 mm inside your scalp. The needles need to be long enough to reach them. And if you'll notice, dermapen results tend to be much more dramatic than dermaroller progress. I guess that's because the dermapen is more efficient at doing its job of puncturing your skin sudden and hard. But if I were you I'd numb my scalp with lidocaine or something first.
@@evelynzlon9492 thanks.i tried 0.5mm and noticed shedding so i dont think dermarolling is for me.
@@charlesben9104 Unfortunate. But the rolling action could tangle your hair and cause it to shed.
@@charlesben9104 It's possible that the shedded hairs weren't firmly attached to your hair follicles anyway, so these hairs had to fall out to make room for strong, healthy hair. You might want to give the dermapen a chance.
You forgot to disable resampling on parts of your video.
Is there no one brave enough to do a dermarolling finasterite/minoxidil-free trial? I'm currently using the dermaroller twice a week plus supplemental vitamins, (saw palmetto+biotin 1mg) and low level laser treatment. I'm hoping to stay off the meds as I don't think the sides are worth the trouble. If this combination proves successful, I'll go for the Dr. Pen and roll with it. I also want to start taking DHT blocking natural meds like stinging nettle root. Has anyone tried that?
Any update ?
just want to know is it okay not to use finastride... i just got married and dont wanna loose my power
I'm currently on finasteride and my wife is pregnant ;)
HAIRLICIOUSLY still scared.. but did u feel any difference sexually?
Is it compulsory to use finastried?? , I am using only derma roller and 5%minioxidil
If u have high dht level yes.. symptoms of high dht usually is body hair.
Yes body hair is high
Honestly seems to good to be true
there's science behind it
I am 2 months now with your pen , once per 10 days + minoxidil once a day and seeing pretty good results. Where can I send you my photos ? Can I use the email that was used for puchase? Thanks
Hey man, glad to hear! You can email me at hairliciously@gmail.com. thanks@
Last guy - you sure he been experiencing hair loss since 2018? That's less than a year ago. Guy looks like he been balding for 15 years....
hey, I used minoxidil in the past and I got really bad rash on my head, is there anything I can do for it, or anything else I can use other than minoxidil?
Look up topical latanoprost, it acts in a similar method to mimic. A 24 week study led to 22% increase in hair count. Prescribed topically threw carefirst pharmacy in new jersey
