Makes me appreciate all the leaf spring lift kits I have done over the years

I think 35” with the Warn black Moonsault wheels would look good!

Curious why every lift company I’ve ever installed has a recommended control arm length but doesn’t ship them at that length 🤦‍♂️

That is a good point. The main reason is there are different suggested lengths depending on your installation. With the TeraFlex kit you have: Replacing all 8 arms, only replacing the lower control arms and with or with our TeraFlex geometry brackets.

    I'd vote 37" tires. Look & work great on a 4-door

All the suspension pieces replaced should be final torqued to spec with the full weight of the vehicle on all 4 tires if at all possible. Looks like it was done improperly, unless I am missing something?

That's with fixed or bonded bushings.
The TeraFlex IR bushings rotate 360°, you can torque down the control arm bolts in any position and there will be no binding.

I would go with 35’s, with the axel ratio on it stock. Black Method wheels?

So the 3.5 and 2.5 lifts are the same price, I don’t expect to go above a 35” tire. Is there anything I need to know about choosing one over the other. I’m not really concerned about the “look” but am leaning for the 3.5. I have a 4xe so already heavier than normal JLUR. Thanks for the video.

So how much actual lift was achieved compared to stock with this kit? From what I've seen most stated lift amounts are based off of the Rubicon factory ride heights, and Sport Wranglers tend to see roughly 1.5" more lift overall because they sit lower from factory. The end result should be the same though as far as finished ride height.

Question the OEM Drive Shaft any concerns to go with a aftermarket DS or can we adjust the control arms move the axles to line up the coil springs?

We definitely recommend a quality aftermarket driveshaft if you are going to get serious with lifting your Jeep. The OE CVs can only take so much angularity and abuse.
Yes, you can adjust the arms on the RT-2 kit with the Alpine IR arms.

music throughout the video drives me nuts.

What size tires are on that in the video? 285/70 r17?

Yes, those are a set of stock Rubicon take-offs we had in the studio. The little stockers looked way too small.

I’m getting ready to install this kit on my JL rubicon with the 3.6 e-torque and noticed I have a aux pump located above my drivers side down stop tube that interferes with the speed bump clamp. Did you have the same pump on this build?

    • @northridgenation
      @northridgenation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, ours had the little aux pump over on the passenger side, mounted to the engine.

Now the question is how much trimming are you going to have to do to clear 40,s 🤔 oh and maybe some axle upgrades…
