Small tidbit - keeping the stock radio antenna serves a very important purpose when parking in garages (since you mentioned garages). It is about 2" taller than the roof... So if there is a low hanging pipe or something lower than the promised garage clearance, you will see that antenna shake and have a split second to slam the brakes. Saved my ass a few times.... Even back in the college days with my XJ.
Ginger I love your honesty brother, and I love the way you act during the Making of your new rig I hope you really enjoy her she looks just as good as fluffy..
I definitely wanna see more vids of how this performs on and off road. I've been looking at getting the kit. Great job on the installation it looks mint. Cheers
Nice rig, but my biggest regret on my EVO JK long arm was the position of the rear lower link bracket at the frame, I was always hitting it, hope you go big tire so you don’t have the same issue
Awesome vid, love how the dash update turned out. Gears and armor/bumpers up next for mine then maybe one day look into doing arms and stuff, will see as the budget grows lol.
I love when people think that the 4 cylinder is going to struggle until they realize that it makes more useful power than the V6 😂 Nothing like making peak torque at 3k RPM compared to the V6 doing the same at almost redline.
Alright why did you install all the bolts with the nuts inside. Isn't it better to be able to see the nuts if they are missing or loose. I know most Canadians can't see their nuts anyway...good video...You guys do excellent demo work.
All hardware was installed as the kit instructed. We prefer to install hardware where its more likely you hit the nut with a rock then the bolt head. As its easier to remove a damaged nut from a bolt then the other way around.
Great video, on the articulation, how many inches does the Jeep flex? Also how well does everything cycle, do you get any odd noises from the suspension?
Please answer my question. Can I install teraflex long arm kit on it after installing portals? Cuz I think Portal needs more flexible , strong and robust arm due to higher gravity. Pls help me to make my decision right. For me, factory arms for portals seems a bit weak and less durability.
What made you guys go with the Teraflex long arm kit over something like the MetalCloak long arm kit? I currently have a Teraflex 3.5" lift on my Jeep JL and looking to go to a 4.5" lift on long arms, but can't decide on which kit would work best for my application. The springs from my current lift are sagging so I think the MetalCloak springs might be able to help with that. Thoughts?
It must be nice to be financially able to take a brand new vehicle and immediately trash everything but the body and engine. Not a word about how much any of this would cost a mere mortal, non-TH-camr guy who came to Epic to have this done to his Jeep. The key is in two little throw-away lines the Ginger spoke, one at the beginning and one at the end of the video: “TerraFlex helped us out” and “shop-build for promotion”. These mean that none of this cost the Ginger or Epic one cent, it was all provided free because they are TH-camrs and their products will be seen by millions as something anyone can have on their Jeep for having fun off-road, and if you have to ask what all this costs, then you can’t afford it and you aren’t “cool”. Fun video, but I would really like to see some more honesty and straight-forwardness in TH-cam videos about how much things cost and what value they are getting for free as opposed to what these upgrades cost regular folks.
I completely agree with much of what your saying but… Since Epic is a legit shop first and foremost and not a TH-cam Influencer none of these parts were free. As such you will never see me talk positive about a product unless I truly like it and have tested it. Which also goes we won’t install it on customer vehicles either until we test and research it. I personally pay for this vehicle and it does cost Epic a lot in shop hours and parts which in turn costs me as one of the owners. Yes the parts are at a discount but that comes with years of working hard, building industry relationships and selling a ton of Teraflex parts here in Canada. Second we don’t usually talk about costs cause is confuses most people as we are based in Canada 🇨🇦 and every costs more here, costs more to get product imported to here and our money is worth much less then the US dollar.
@@TheEPICBeardedGinger I really appreciate the response and the information. That information is exactly what we as viewers need to be told and need to have should we get the bug to have some work like this done on our Jeeps. But I still think there needs to be more. The fact that you are in Canada really does not matter to me, even though I am located in Oklahoma. Having been up there many times to visit friends and do some off-roading, I am well aware of the cost differences, since I bought some upgrades for my Jeep while I was there, but I still think it would be a good idea to let viewers know what major upgrades cost, even if it is only a ballpark figure. Casey 250 quotes prices in his videos for his accessories and upgrades, and I think that’s great. It’s great information for me as an enthusiast. Keep producing the videos, I really enjoy them and hope to make it up to your neck of the woods sometime to have some fun.
@@Casey250 I know. These gear-makers really do have a penchant for putting a lot of zeroes at the end of their prices. I recoil in horror at times and just move on to something a little less pricey.
Man I want 37s but I’m just not sure how well my rig would support them. I always hear from the community that if you don’t have 20 grand in axles you can’t safely run 37s. Do you think a 2020 JT Sport S with the max tow could safely spin 37s? I already have 35s but the bigger tire just looks right.
I personally did this one only because I have never had one on my own personally vehicle yet, so this build is being setup as more of a long distance rock crawling rig, so who knows how far we will go with it.
Understood, I will keep an eye on your build and your review of the suspension after you have time to put it through its paces. That way when I am ready to upgrade I can choose either a short or long arm setup.
@@EPIC-4WD Wow, TH-cam didn't tell me you replyed. I'm almost ready to buy a jeep. When I do I will be contacting you. Can I stop by and build the jeep before I buy it to plan cost?

Ohhhh snap! You know it.
Awesome Video Ginger
Great job explaining the Modifications
When will we be seeing you play the Guitar again
Well thats a good question…
Agreed on the dash .we should be able to choose the colors we want on the build site.
ging, you gotta start putting what songs you're using for your music in the description! This build soundtrack SLAPS
If the music isn't slapp'n we've done something wrong.

Love that green. Nice jeep
Gecko is where the party is at.
Can we take a pause and light a lighter for the beats !!!!! Love that
LOL! Thanks AJ!
Between your channel and Sean’s, I wanna get a jeep. Love the build so far!
Do it!!!!!!
Any time you want to come to Australia and do all that to my gecko gladiator your more then welcome 😂👌🏼
Awesome build

Sounds like a plan sir!
I can see a very beautiful build already. 👊👊👊
That turbo 4 is going to be screaming to move that jeep around with all the add ons !!!!!!😂
After the regear, this Jeep drives awesome, took it all the way to Oregon and back this past weekend without issues

Oh, we'll be doing some trails soon!
Dare I say, it's epic
You dare say!
kerja bagus pak. Apakah final gear perlu ganti..? from Indonesia 👍
Looks great!
Thanks for following along Joe! Cheers from the team at EPIC!
Any updates on how you are liking the long arm versus short arm? How is on road handling, any issues hitting things off-road or when rock crawling?

Got a name for the green jeep. Gecko Reaper gecko drest as a reaper
Name is on the suggestion board. We thank you for your input!
I'm surprised the Brackets aren't welded
They that Wrangler looks familiar 🤓
Any updates? Further opinions on the long arm kit in the past 4 months.

#1 reason I went with the Sahara over the Rubicon was I hated the red dash.
Whats the verdict on the mickey Thompson’s? Seeing them a lot lately. Also what is your opinion on the axle reinforcement kits? Snake oil?
seems like a of hours in this upgrade !.. is it compatible with the LRA aux tank on my gladiator ?
Dang did fluffy join the trail wrecker in the supercharger graveyard? lol
So when does Stellantis come out with a Jeep in a Ginger Pearl color?

Would this set up be good for some higher speed runs on sand dunes??
Hell ya it would ;-)
"i don't really want to climb up very high to get into it" - oh, here's the 3.5" lift kit. right.
I am hoping it settles at 3” after the bumpers and armor goes on, as it had to be 3” minimum for the long arm kit
It looks just like the grinch.. waldys off road
Ha ha nice!
