@@bseries4974 bro 20 % of our budget is loan repayments every year...at least read about it. And democracy like USA can function so well by one nation one election why can't we ? Why do we need elections every single year in states ? Instead my suggestion at least make a single election year first...this constant election phases are draining money of our own country since we are spending money multiple times for election duties, security and also multiple times the development is stopped.

Yes, I was also thinking the same by doing that no. Of elections will be reduced and also the voters will be able to differentiate between the national and state issues will get a chance to analyse the working of central and state government seperately and the stakes of the regional parties will also be protected.

May be held the Lok sabha, Rajya Sabha and local elections in a three weeks span. First week local, second week Rajya sabha and third week Lok sabha.
All state elections, Panchayat and municipal corporation elections should take place together and Lok sabha elections should take place separately with a gap of 2-3 years. By this way regional parties will have fair chance. There will be elections only after 2-3 years in entire country and not in every 4-5 months. The party who is in power will not be complacent for 5 years as it will have to face election after every 2 or 3 years.

Number of elections need not to be synced but to be calenderised. Election every 1.25yrs is healthy than after every 5yrs..

apart from all reasons given by everybody, i would also like to add a serious one.
During election season the environment become very polerised, most voters just take stand of their fovouraite political idiology(party). This creates a very bad environment around the people, most people just do not want to listen other side and settle in between. This is just very bad in my Opinion.
that is why i just want that election just should happen once in 5 years and every one should live peacefully for rest of the days.

If some state govt dessolve within 5years re elected govt age will be upto next general election not full years this change in constitution will make one nation one election possible
