Mahalo --- very informative! I have been fighting intermittent eczema flares since my 2023 ski trip trigger. Departed humid near sea level temp of 83F. Arrived at VERY dry 5,945' elevation temp of -5F => 88 degrees differential. Moisturize!!!! 👍👍

New to this, thank you for thoroughly explaining. I had no idea this was my diagnosis for years! In fact I just bought $100 worth of poison ivy treatment thinking it came from my laundry 😵

    I need some help, Doc.
So, all throughout my early childhood and majority of early adolescent years- I had severe eczema….the kind you talk about when you brought up “Hanifin-Rajka” from your friend, John Hanifin aroound 28:15 of your video. It was absolutely miserable, I couldn’t even wear short sleeves or shorts all the years of growing up. After seeing years and years of allergists and dermatologists and doctors, etc. I had finally found a guy who prescribed something and it all of a sudden started clearing up right around when I was about 18 years old.
I just remember it became so bad at that point that a few specialists decided to run a test to make sure I didn’t have lupus because it was becoming so bad even on my face alone, but luckily those tests came back negative.
It just dramatically decided to disappear and started to alleviate itself after seeing that final dermatologist- can’t remember what he gave me, I was just so ecstatic that he actually helped me, that I couldn’t focus on anything else, esp being around that age and finally feeling like I might be able to breathe or something again….
Long story short, on and off since then I’ll get occasional minor rashes on my wrists here or there, just a few red bumpy light rashes….
Nothing even REMOTELY compared to what I’ve experienced in my past.
Well, here I am now 34 years old, and for some reason my flare up the past couple of weeks became very very dramatic. It’s become so bad again in the creases of my forearms mainly and my neck and especially bottom of my neck to where lichenification is back severely in spots from me scratching so bad on my arms, and now they’ve turned into long strips of almost black colored thick scabs once I’ve let the lichened parts heal enough before feeling the sudden itch come on again in those areas. Sorry to completely be disgusting and be so vivid with my description, but I felt there is no better way.
I’m back to that desperate and useless feeling again, and just not really sure what to do or where to start. Please help me. It’s prob really hard to get ahold of me via on here cause well- YT isn’t the best for that, but you can find me on FB if you search “Jes Slayin”, and just shoot me a message if there’s anything you all think you might be able to suggest, or would like to help with, etc.
I’d even be willing to be a guinea pig for some testing or something if you think it would help. lol.
Anyways, even if you don’t foresee a way to be of any assistance at all- no worries, I appreciate you for making it this far in reading my post nonetheless lol. Thanks so much🤓 🙏🙏.

I bet I have at least 4 types at one time on the shoulders, arm, scalp and ankles. I have extreme sensitivity to hard water which inflames my scalp and face.
