Now that Air India has come back to the TATA Group..You'll see Air India at it's best in decor,food,service,timings..etc etc at it's best.Give or take 1 or 2 years. The Maharaja is Reborn
Operational changes doesn’t happen just like that ,Tata’s are hustling and solving problems after problems ,hats off ,Iam sure their endeavours will not go to waste ,they are known for their continuous learning and execution strategy so one scorpion bite is not harmful
Sam, give Air India sometime they have seen some really tough times in the past, with the Tata group- the original owners now taking over the airlines after 25 years of government mismanaging the airlines. Air India will comeback stronger. As an Indian I still prefer AI as that's the only aircraft that gives you the biggest baggage allowance of 32 kgs compared to all the fancy private airlines flying in India. Also, it's super cool of you to venture in the jarimari area to see the flights take off.
Dear fellow Indians, its just a matter of time that our beloved Air India will be one of the top 3 Airlines in the world! All in good hands of TATA! #JaiHind
Bhai Top 3 ke sath sath Profitable bhi Hona Padega And Somehow TATA is Lacking that thing in Aviation Air Asia India Which is now completely owned by TATA is not Profitable And Vistara Just Only in Dec 2023 recorded its First Net Profit in a Quarter. They have to become world class alongside must also be Profitable. I think they should have Given 25% Share to Singapore. Singaporeans wouldn't let Air India to Overshadow their Singapore Airlines.
I doubt that. TATA could not make a splash with Vistara even though they had support, guidance and expertise of World's No. 1 Airline - Singapore Airlines. But definitely it'll be lot better than it was under Government's ownership.
It will take the year 2027 atleast to reach the full fledge TATA's quality. (TATA planned extensive five-year transformation roadmap called Vihaan in 2022 to uplift the Maharajah to its past glory). I have patience and strong will to see that happening, do you?
Sam, you did a wonderful thing for those followers. And the cabin crew along with the captain were really impressive. Thank you and cheers from Manhattan Beach, California USA.
Comparing your previous vlogs of air india prior to 2017, this one stands out to be amazing. Now that Air India is privatised, they are surely going to transform a lot in the coming next 3-4 years. Very excited to see their A350s & B777X. They also just got their first A321 neo in their fleet as well.
The idea of having a Foundation to help people fly for the first time and experience the Joy of Aviation will be a remarkable thing. The first flight is always the one which gets rooted in your brain & heart. That is a amazing plan Sam. And I hope this lime lite on Air India will push them to make positive changes and one day be able to compete with the Worlds best players in the aviation Industries.
I flew AI had the 747 out of Los Angeles to Mumbai. I took that flight in 2006. Although a lot of people complained at that time I thought it was the best flight I have ever took. Simply because the food was awesome. Had roti kadhi mater aloo and chicken tikka. Unlimited alcohol and those old school wide butt cushion seats. Air India is just awesome. India is just awesome in general.
Hi sir I'm from India and I would like to tell that how big an impact you are in my life, I remember when I was in my 6th grade I saw your video of Singapore airlines A380 first class and from there I was so amazed that how an aircraft of that size could fly,I developed my interest more and more I use to research about all other aircrafts the entire day in my holidays and use to tell my father a lot about it and that is when I realized I just love aircrafts and that is why I chose to be an aeronautical engineer in my life, I'm currently in my school and I hope to pursue my further education in it ,so thank you so much for making me fall in love with aviation, keep up the good work
As an aeronautical engineer I want to tell you that you will love the subjects if you are passionate about the aircrafts. Everyday you will learn something new even after graduating.
Indians are naturally and potentially the best when it comes to hospitality and service sectors. The much needed overhauls, upgrades and modernisation of Maharaja as well as world class airports, trains and transport hubs that India is perfecting is truly phenomenal. In my view, 21st century belongs to India undoubtedly.👌
Air India was ruined due to abysmal customer service, and the poor maintenance of their Aircrafts. Even in this aircraft the entertainment system is not working. Tatas have purchased a headache.
Sam firstly I want to thank you for covering Air India. I am a proud Indian and like to see Air India become the Maharaja (King) of the skies as it's tagline states once again. Two of my sister's work for Air India. One is air hostess for the past 17 years and other one is a pilot who has joined 6 month's ago. We are Proud of Air India. I work for the Tata group. Iam very excited when it was recently brought back by the Tata group. It belongs to the Tata group as it was started by JRD Tata the founder of Air India. The Tata group will take it back to the rightful place as the king of skies. I also to thank you for covering Jerry merry I used to stay very close to that place and use to plane spot during my child hood days. I have seen British Airways concord, Airbus 380, Boeing 747 and other aircrafts from Jerry merry spot. Thank you for your channel. I watch your videos whenever I get time. I love flying but I have flown only a few times bcoz it's I cannot afford it as often. Happy flying.❤❤👌👌👍👍🙏🙏
Hi Sam, I love this video, and the idea of taking along 5 travelers. I recall my first plane ride on a AI 747, in 1977 from DEL to JFK. Of course with multiple stops, DEL to Kuwait, to FRA, to CDG, to LHR to JFK
Thank you for doing this Sam! Your contributions are immensely appreciated. I’m looking forward to fly with you on Air India’s first A350, we can fly together from Australia 😉
Tata are doing their best to turn around AI and the results are quite evident. However it is really difficult task to change the culture of AI and mindset of all old govt employees. It might take another few years before AI becomes a loving airlines. Best of luck to Tatas and AI team.
Extremely happy to see a positive review about Air india, will admit - it’s got its flaws, but the people you showed are really what makes the airline real. Hopefully the new aircraft brings air india hospitality to the heights where it was
Sam back in India after a very long time.. welcome back... Finally its a matter of time to see my favourite aircraft A350 in Air India colors.. eagerly waiting to fly in Air India's A350
Flying is my hobby, I flew more than 280 times. Qatar Airways, Emirates, Kuwait Airways, British Airways, Jet Airways, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Air India, Gulf Air, Saudia Airlines, Etihad Airways, Olympic Airlines (Greek), Mongolian Airlines and others
Just hearing about the female percentage of pilots in India made me emotional! All the female crew is great. Brought tears to my eyes, as an Indian, it makes me proud!
I have been watching your videos for few years now. Usually i focus on the technical aspects and locations of the flight etc.on your videos. Today, I have watched 3 videos of yours today all with Air India. However, this time, I was in awe of your amazing personality, the warmth you share with fellow human beings irrespective of where they come from or what they look like. The innovative concept of taking folks to fly with you is incredible. Kudos to you. Be the same. Keep inspiring. I am inspired. 55 year old physician. Still learning:)), Thank you.
I was so happy to see you reviewing air India..,.as an Indian I feel proud that TATA is preparing the Indian subcontinent aviation industry....hope Sam chuii will rate us the best airline in the years
Such a wonderful person you are Sam Chui taking that group of people with you. They all had such a wonderful time on the flight and the one who made you the card was so sweet of her. Keep doing what you do. Love watching your videos
in all honestly, ive flown air india internationally and domestic 5 to 6 times and once during covid, ive always had a very good experience , especially the air hostesses have been very helpful and kind. STOP criticizing them
Great video Sam, I was born in Pakistan but of English parents, we travelled the world frequently from 1960's to 1990's ... coach class of the 1970's is now business class for 2020's unfortunately. But first class has improved considerably over the decades on most of the airlines compared to the 1970's first class. Remember PanAm, TWA, etc. ... we flew frequently between the England and Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Canada ... I was young but enjoyed every minute of it.
What a great idea Sam of giving this opportunity to some of your followers in India. The look on their faces was priceless. AI will be back without a doubt now that Tara has it. Can’t wait for the comeback and I agree they need to tone down the color scheme as it seems way too outdated.
Slums are dark spot of every country. Go around world and you will find it. Populous country like India is shining 🌟 and soon these slums will be regularised as proper designed houses. ....btw Air India is our pride. ❤❤❤❤
I have flown with air india several times between rome and new delhi and I must say that I have always found it good, especially in terms of food, always well cared for considering that it is generally a night route.
As an Indian Airlines family member, I used to be proud of the aircraft, the food, the iconic Air India windows and décor. The grounding of the A320's in 1989 or so had a devastating effect on Indian Airlines and it never became profitable after that. Air India had years of mismanagement. But what you see is the best crew in the world. The cabin crew have to deal with over 20 food restrictions, passengers who do not follow rules yet maintain their poise. Women Pilots in India are common because of reservations for girls in STEM programs in the early 90s, that brought girls to engineering and science courses. Air India will regain it's spot back in the sky and I'm eager to see it soar.
Agree with you Sam, the 747 is the most iconic plane. I was lucky to fly on one in 1996 on my way to Muscat, Oman from Mumbai. I was just a young kid then. One of the air hostess invited me a seat in the business class This experience on the 747 will remain with me forever.
Sam, you are a nice guy. To take 5 young followers on a flight. With plans to incorporate this in other ventures. I watch a few travel people on TH-cam, I think you are an innovater, you do new things, before others. I enjoy all your films. Thank you.
Sam, I would have been skeptical of AI too, except for the new owners.. TATAs. With time, I am sure they will improve the customer experience immensely. I recall in the late 1970s when AI was among the best for service .
Thank you staff🙏🏼 and BOTH female pilots 🙏🏼🙏🏼.. You are all now the face of India- Namaskar to one and all, of what you do. 💐💐💐 Stopped flying with AI ..and chose middle east airlines as my choice. Its so Amazing how AI under a private enterprise is slowly changing for the good. Wish AI succeed and people like me return back to OUR maharaja again..
My first plane trip was in 1969 with my family. I was 5 n we were on an Air India DC8 from Jakarta Kemayoran airport to Singapore Paya Lebar Airport.. All the best!
It’s a very nice gesture for you to take people with you on a Sam Chui experience, want to register the fact that, having flown Air India & Indian Airlines (earlier) extensively, I have never had a bad experience with the flight or the crew, I am excited that it’s going to get even better, looking forward to a wonderful flying experience with Air India
Wow Sam! I have ALWAYS ENJOYED your videos! So interesting, informative, and entertaining! Now, I really respect the charitable work you are doing helping others in the aviation field. So proud of you! Is there an email where I can contact you? I have some QUESTIONS ABOUT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL. Thanks so much! Keep it up! God bless!
Air India is really one of the best airlines. Especially on long hauls. Not only their Boeing 787s have more legroom in economy than say Lufthansa, the seat width is also great. Plus Air India offers generous portions of food and 2 luggage pieces....Crew is a hit or miss ....I had mostly positive experiences, will recommend it anyday.
Welcome to New Delhi Sam. Glad to know you flew the Business Class of Air India and would be interviewing the CEO of Air India. I am unable to find the video where you flew ANA to Tokyo/Osaka (Japan). How can I find that Sam?
Thanks Sam For Promoting Air India,Now it is under Tata's Management its been a full circle for the Tata's ,years ago govt nationalised it and now it is back with the most prestigious Tata group..And see the world record beating number of aircrafts they have ordered..so now forget Dubai or other Gulf Countries ...India would be a new Hub for the whole of South East Asia flying more destinations than the current hubs offer.
@SamChui really love it to see and hear what is your next step regarding aviation! You're inspire to the people and all Airlines should be happy to have Ya! All the best from Adriatic Sea
Another nice video. I have an interesting experience, about 20 years ago, when going to a meeting with Air India execs at their Operations Building at Mumbai Airport. It's an old building. The meeting finished at about 5.30pm on a Friday afternoon and all the staff had gone home except the 2 execs I was meeting. Well, the lift was tiny and three of us squeezed into it to go down to the G/F. It was so small, and we were all big guys, and there was literally no room to move. Halfway between floors, the lift broke down and we were stuck in it for about 25-30 minutes, until the guard found the correct key to cranks the doors open and we were able to climb out! I hope the building has been modernised since then! 😂
Superb video Sam chui !! ❤❤ Love from India !! 😅. Btw I have seen you take part in many of the A350 delivery flights of different airlines in Toulouse. Next you should do it for Air India in late 2023. 😊😊
Nice work Sam! People will look up to you with admiration. You are gifting an experience alongside you rather than giving them a `voucher card`. Appreciate your thoughtful gesture.
Hi Sam chui iam from Tamilnadu India when I was in the age of 2 I went to Singapore on a 737 I was wonder about the aircraft that how modern is it. from that moment I have decided that my dream and my future Passion is to be an pilot and to complete my course on Canada as a Tamil. More interesting thing about Indians is India can have slums but the people who lives in the slums heart and Indians heart are purest than a pure diamond❤

*I want to go to India one day*

Keep up your content sam! your my inspiration!
Thank you so much for coming in india

Hi Sam chui iam from Tamilnadu India when I was in the age of 2 I went to Singapore on a 737 I was wonder about the aircraft that how modern is it. from that moment I have decided that my dream and my future Passion is to be an pilot and to complete my course on Canada as a Tamil. More interesting thing about Indians is India can have slums but the people who lives in the slums heart and Indians heart are purest than a pure diamond❤
