My hairline got thin too as I aged so I push it “slightly “ to get a fuller look.
I’m a Barber as well and I cut my own hair also. I have been for quite some time now. Crazy how he did his face in sections, I kind of do it that way but I fade each section with whatever clip I am using around my whole head a section at a time. I do 3 sections, the sides and the back, one of the most important things to remember, you must make all 3 sections look perfectly blended together. I would say Bossio gave himself a good haircut, not great or perfect, but really good. Especially after messing up on one side, only food Barbers can fix mistakes like that without people noticing.
it always interesting watching self cuts after cutting my own hair for the last 10+ years. It seems hard to get your left side when you are right handed, i actually use my right hand on the right side and my left hand on the left side. took a minute to get used to it but makes it easier to see.
For pretty much all my 18 years of life my mom has been cutting my hair. She usually did a 2 on top and she tried to fade in the sides. But a few months ago I stumbled across your channel and a few others. It took me like a week or so but I finally built up the courage to cut my own hair. I didn’t even have a handheld mirror to see the back, I used my phone. (It wasn’t easy) But after I finished I was surprised that it didn’t look that bad. Since then I’ve been cutting not only my hair but also my brothers, dad, and uncles hair. I’ve watched a lot of different barber TH-camrs since to see everyone’s process and different types of cuts. I’m thinking of going to barber school this year and I just want to thank you for posting videos and inspiring me to pursue this career.

Hey I'm a woman with a hair cut low. I only started noticing receding by going to the barbers. I've since stopped getting cuts and my hair line and edges are coming back with the help of castor oil.
