This looks like one of those clients that it really takes you a couple of times before you start doing his haircut a lot quicker lol. Some people just got hard heads to fade.
I feel like it's more the hairstyle. If it was a taper on this hair type it's quick but when you got a continuous blend especially around the lower part of the head it takes more work.
@@sandman1133 i always feel tapers are faster than fades but maybe thats just me. Also you usually avoid the hardest areas of the head with a taper besides the nape. Some people have crazy swirls in the neck areas so.
@@Mike-hy8cs in my experience tapers are faster and easier because there's less space from point to point but yeah those swirls and hair that grows up instead of down on the neck are something else.

I keep having trouble with my 1 guard guideline , feels like the 1 open doesn’t set a solid enough guideline for me even with the premium guards

Press down harder onto the head
You can try down fade from the top to a 2 then into the 1 (no guides) do your regular half guideline and blend it out as usual. Also be careful of your lighting wherever your cutting I had this problem before. I got one of those ring lights that the tiktokers use I can see EVERYTHING.
