I myself own a 2008 clean es 350 and I always recommend lexus to everyone I know. For the price and compared to any other luxury company no one beats lexus. I will never own another car besides lexus again. If my lexus didn't drive so nice and smooth I would buy a newer model but I still get compliments on mine and how clean it is. Such an all around well made car.

I like the Lexus mouse too. I also think the current Lexus design has evolved to perfection in the latest ES, LS and especially LC... disregard badges and I feel Lexus has the most attractive interiors, exteriors and build quality among the luxury brands.

I’ve had an 2016 NX, an 18 RX, 22 RX and 19 ES, and I still absolutely hated all of the mouse pads. The 2019+ newer mouse pad is much improved now, but the older swivel rectangle mouse control in the older 2014-2018s models were just atrocious.

No issues with it, ultra reliable but the cabin noise got me thinking to trade to ES300h or 3 series touring, probably next year if all is well. Lexus(es?) are usually purchased not leased. BMWs, Audis, Mercedes Benzes and Jaguars are usually leased, not purchased.
Edit: Lexus and/or its customers are not claiming that the ES is a sports sedan. The F-Sport model only makes it a *tad* sportier and firmer riding, a little more responsive (throttle, steering and suspension).

Trying to watch videos when I have time to figure it out. Also wish the screens wouldn’t keep changing on their own. The rear seat sits one inch higher to make room for the battery, improving thigh support but reducing headroom. Also, the 300h does not offer the option of the panoramic sunroof, although Lexus designed that feature so there's almost no headroom difference anyway. LS and LC are both made on the GA-L platform so there's no vehicle that's based on anything anymore just global architecture

Kevin great review. Turns out i sold my 2013 ES350 which only had 42k miles and just bought a 2002 Lexus ES300 black on black base model. The interior is flawless, I don’t think anybody ever sat in the backseat possibly even the passenger seat. It’s missing the adaptive sport suspension and electronic rear shade options. I would’ve liked the sports suspension option because the ride is definitely a little on the mushy side. But the build quality is amazing it’s still feels solid everything still works even at 160,000 miles.
It’s got two sets of tires, the front are almost new 2 years old based on the sidewall code ultra high-performance all season Sumitomo and the rears are Pirelli’s P4 standard all season which are 4 years old but have about 50 % tread remaining. These would not be the tires that I would choose but certainly not gonna go out and change them now.

I've had a 2004 LS 430 for almost 8 years now. The build quality on this vehicle impresses me every single time I drive it. There are no leaks of any kind. Everything works. The only repair I've had during my ownership is a fuel pump. Everything else I've done is maintenance only.
That said I'm considering getting a "newer" LS, probably jumping over the LS 460 altogether and going straight into the LS500. Over the last several months I've been reading and watching videos about the ES line too. In particular the ES300h and it seems to a tremendous value, especially when compared to the LS500. I have yet to test drive either one yet, but at this time the ES seems to make more sense all around.
