Thanks so much for this review!!! Was considering 2016-2018 es. Been following your reviews on those. I'm 69 years old, and always wanted a lexus. This looks like the one I can pull the trigger on. Will be looking at the 2019 for money reasons, but I am confident that I will have no regrets, as this will be my last car purchase. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Great review! I bought the 2021 Ultra Luxury trim a few weeks ago before I saw your video, but you definitely would have sold me. I agree with everything you said. I love everything about this car. Always looking for a reason to drive it. Sometimes I drive it for no reason at all. It’s just a great place to spend time.
@@graceamazing5321 I’ve been driving mine for 15 months and I don’t even notice the “hump” you reference. I’m 6’0” but keep the seat very low and mildly reclined. I don’t think the visibility is any worse or better than any other car I’ve driven.
Like any car you can get the highest trim, the Ultra Luxury version and load it up with options well into the mid 50K range. This really is a nice car.
I came across your video which popped up as a recommendation on my page. I bought my first ever '22 ES 350 10 days ago. The test drive sold me, the three drive modes of ECO, Standard & Sport. LOVE IT in the city or highway, you can't beat the comfort and smooth overall ride. I got the package with the panoramic roof, 12" touch screen and 18" wheels in nightfall metallic blue. You really do get a lotta bang for your buck!
Just picked up my 2020 ES 350 F Sport a few weeks back, I’m absolutely loving it so far! Ultra White with the Circuit Red interior, but the triple beams really seal the deal for me. In all fairness, the number of vehicles I’ve driven is limited, but I’ve personally never experienced a car that accelerates as directly and effortlessly as this - it’s what really ‘sold’ it to me as soon as I test drove it! Plus as someone who has been so fixated on the LC 500, it’s pretty awesome to have so many - mostly aesthetic - similarities that you’re able to interact with on a daily basis. Keep up the great content man!
Wow massive congrats my friend what a gorgeous car and spec. You really did it right! And yes the power is genuinely good and has a very unique presence to it that sets it apart from the German rivals. Enjoy it to the fullest, you made a great choice. Thanks for stopping by!
Great review, great review! You just nailed it. Toyota/Lexus is just the best combination of affordable to premium sedans on the market. I rented a 2019 Camry SE which most would consider to be an entry level sedan, but this car feel anything but entry level. It's composed, decently quiet and when you step on the accelerator, it will scoot fast. I've passed 4 cylinder turbo BMWs with about 240hp that cost more than $40k without a hint of strain or drama. The Camry feels planted and solid ALL THE TIME. Couple the chassis, handling, performance and build quality of the Camry with rock solid reliability and you have an indisputable winner.
I drove Honda Accords for years (until 2013 when they removed the wishbone suspension and ruined the ride quality). I always thought it was foolish to spend more for a so-called "luxury" sedan because the Accord was an amazing car: handling, ride, room, etc.. The Camry is the same.
Dude awesome review. Would love to drive a 2020 with 302 hp. As you know mine is a 2013 which has 268 hp, so would be nice to feel the increase. Mine has the 6 speed transmission, the extra 2 overdrive speeds give you slightly better mpg on the highway. Quality and craftsmanship are amazing. Mine now has almost 38k miles, still barely broken in ! No SUV’s for me. Gas mileage really sucks with SUV’s. Same with mine, no folding rear seats. And yes I’m a golfer, definitely fits my full cart style bag in the trunk and could fit 2 bags with no problem. I also have the same the White pearl paint
Glad to see you here my friend yea I would love to hear your thoughts on a 2019/2020 ES the extra power is nice and 8 speed shifts flawlessly. Still love the previous generation cars they're phenomenal value for the price so def enjoy that awesome ride. White is always stunning on a lexus love it!
Exhaust Sports Auto yes my 2013 ES350 is an amazing car and value. Nearly turning 38k miles (I bought it April 2019 with 30,009 miles). The original owner Took delivery of it in August 2012, so essentially when I bought it it was seven years old, Which was probably a Sunday only car Ha Ha Ha Ha. My fit and finish is still remarkable not a squeak or rattle in the car. Everything is like brand new.To be honest I’m not a fan of the dashboard of the 2020 in front of the driver, the Cowl. Looks too small. Mine has the premium edition which has leather heated and cooled seats, blind spot monitoring and park assist. I have navigation But to be honest I just Google map everything with my iPhone 8 +, so much easier. I was parked side-by-side with one the other day the front peak is a lot sleaker but overall I’m still happy with my 2013. The car holds it’s value terrifically and I’m happy. Little pissed off because my car virtually had not one scratch or blemish until I parked in Brooklyn NY about a week ago and the next day I saw my rear bumper had like a 2 inch scuff which actually tore off the Paint covering. Other than that, I love the white StarFire pearl finish from what I heard it’s triple coated and it’s truly remarkable. It has that wonderful metallic sparkle like no other car I’ve ever had
at the end of the day, all the numbers the german manufacturers throw out against this car and how it might not look up to par on paper doesn't matter when your benz is sitting in a shop for half it's life. this car is a fantastic daily and won't let you down.
I love German cars a lot I have nothing against them I know many owners that have had a great reliable ownership experience with them I just hate how everything is about paper and specs and numbers its just depressing. Everyone wants to make something out to be the best when a best car doesn't exist. I also hate how reviewers just brush of Japanese and Korean cars even if they do certain things objectively better than a German rival. Just be objective and not freaking biased all the time give credit where credit is due
I love the ES. By far the best luxury sedan for the price. The V6 is amazing, efficient and powerful. By no means a rocket but that’s not the point of this car. I have a 2020 Camry XLE 4 cylinder as my heavy use family car, however I am closely eyeing an ES or Avalon as we need another car. (Yes I want 2 sedans). I can get a well equipped ES for 42-43k here in Charlotte. Great review as always.
Great review, as always! Had 30,000 miles on 2017 ES350 totaled by feral pig (!); now 8,000 miles on 2019 ES 300h. Totally different cars!! 2017: a really good car. 2019: a GREAT car! Just wow. Liked 'em both, BUT 2019 with new platform DEFINITELY a couple of notches higher, feels more substantial,. - Wider frame, firmer feel on road, particularly corners. It just feels solid! 2017 very comfortable, a little wobbly in turns. - Interior larger, much improved dashboard layout, bigger screen, more interior room - lotsa little things: shifter firmer and more solid, pumping gas doesn't stop with two gallons left to fill, doors opening and shut more solid, Result: driving habits changed. More relaxed, more deliberate, more careful, park and drive in open spaces, avoid the lane jockeys and speed burners. Why? Because every time I'm in the car I really appreciate all the thought that went into creating this....dare I say it....work of automobile art. EXCELLENT gas mileage, smaller tank (13 gallons), REAL averages low 30's no pussyfooting in town, low to mid 40's freeway, I drive cruise control 60, sometimes 65. (Lexus avg. mileage 2.2.5 lower than shown odisplay ) Regrets: only that my car doesn't have all the luxury features it deserves: automatically closing doors, back seat massage, popup window sunscreens, heated rear seats, automatic ice chest with drinks (don't need Mark Levinson with poor hearing). Only other car I'd consider: Lexus LS 500h for the luxury and ride, twice as much, roughly same interior room. Where's that lottery ticket??
I have a 2019 ES 300h as well, only 4k miles because I work from home now. I share many of your observations and if I may, here are my own: - It IS better than my 2013 in handling and ride; I'd say about 15-20% better. It drives more like a Honda Accord now, not as sloppy and loose as it used to be. - I like the new dash setup as well, except for the Frankenstein bolts on the pod. The 12" screen is great and as most people have said, the touchpad is horrific. I avoid it at all costs. - I don't like the new coupe-like styling obsession that everyone is using for their sedans now. I have to duck my head getting in. It's a sedan; stop trying to make it something it's not. - My driving habits have changed as well! Frankly this could be due to the pandemic and not driving as much anymore, but I just cruise along in peace now; idiots that want to go by at 80 mph are more than welcome to and I just think how much calmer and serene I am than I used to be. - My mileage is about the same, mid-30s around town but on average I would say mid- to high- 40s; I regularly get in the 50s if I can drive around town without endless red lights. - Mine was one of the first built in the USA once all hybrids switched over and sorry, it is NOT built as well as my old one. Condensation inside; moonroof noises/ center console squeak. IT IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD. I hate to say it but i just KNEW this would happen. - It's a nice car but due to the difficulty getting in/out and my age, I most likely will not buy it when the lease is over. The new RX might/should be out by then and I will check that out. If I had to do it over again, would I buy it again? No, due to reasons listed above and also because it's too similar to the one I had and I kind of want something different. Would I recommend it? Again no, I would recommend the RX over this; 80-90% of the comfort and quietness, with more other things to offer.
Absolutely excellent comment thank you so very much for sharing this you are helping so many people who are potentially in the market, they will appreciate this.
Yeah - I drove it and loved it. And the infotainment setup didn’t bother me a bit. I actually like it. And I saw all those negative reviews about it also. Left me wondering what the fuss was about. For me - it seemed like a perfect balance between old school tactile buttons (where you want them) and your digital features. I bought it. And have just been enjoying the hell out of driving it. Love Lexus and Toyota.
Great video Kevin, I really like the shape of this car like a mini LS. Over here, we can only get the ES300h, which is the Hybrid version with front-wheel drive. I guess this model is also front-wheel drive? The front looks stunning and I love the shape of the side mirrors.
Hey thanks again for stopping by yes this is FWD and I have gotten a few requests to do the hybrid model as Lexus seems to only offer the hybrid model in certain countries so I will find that to review. Thank you my friend!
@@MeynMotorGroup that would be great Kevin. Over here in the UK, a few state that the car is a bit underpowered with the hybrid (only version). It is fine to drive in normal mode but it when you need a bit of power for overtaking that is a bit lacking and the sound is not as lovely as V6...
@@MeynMotorGroup Pleasure Kevin. I do like the interior though as it is a step forward. But I would keep my GS450h for RWD, spacious and so comfortable and of course the power delivery that is simply outstanding. In town, this car is like a limousine, it is floating and so relaxing to drive. I really love it. I am sure the ES has similar characteristics but FWD and 300h hybrid engine, does not sound as nice as mine...
I just bought a 2011 ES350 in the exact same color combination inside and out. I actually like the interior in my car better than the 2020. But it is true, the older 350's like mine are a dream to drive, but don't go very fast around the turns! I found a video here on TH-cam that had a car with the EXACT same features as mine and they had the original sticker and the MSRP in 2011 was $43,000 - so the price has not gone up much in 9 years. The only thing I think Lexus should do is include the Mark Levinson sound system on all their cars - they are still charging a lot more for that option.
Nice! Yea I still love that car handling is fine for the street just something I like to note but never really bothers me, comfort and quietness is far more important to me. Enjoy that ride my friend and I agree prices haven't gone up much
Whoever designed the new interior should be fired, hired, and fired again. It's a shame that with Lexus ride quality and reliability they can't find a designer to make a good looking car anymore. Forcing me to look elsewhere
Hey Kevin, love your no BS everyday perspective you give on your reviews! How does this generation of ES compare to the 2013-2015 gs350 in regards to comfort, handling, and acceleration?
Hey thanks so much and I know thank God, been wanting to do an ES forever and I couldn't get one as a Press car. Super happy that I could review this car. Thanks for watching
The push button in the cup holder is designed for smaller beverages so they don't sink so far down. Think of a small cup of coffee...just makes it sit up a little higher.
Another great review. Will be good to compare the driving characteristics of this model to the es300h. Looks to be luxurious and refined and extremely well made, another triumph for Lexus
I had to come in for that creamy delight 🤭, I watched a Throttle House video recently with this guy who had one problem with the LC and said that bc of the infotainment he would never recommend that car and I thought that was completely insane,he even said it was because older ppl and people in general couldn't use it while driving 😆. I know it's not relared to the video but like rhat bothered me when he said it and I nust imagined what you wouldve said to him if you were there 🤣, great video as always completely honest and in depth
Haha everyone says that about lexus Infotainment idk I just don't use Infotainment in cars as long as climate control is separated and Bluetooth is easy to connect im good haha 😄
Any reviewer who says they can't use the infotainment whilst driving and marks the car down for it is a idiot and is doing a disservice to their viewers, an infotainment system should NOT be used whilst driving, that's why manufacturers try and put the things most used on the steering wheel so that you don't take your hands off the wheel, or most importantly your eyes off the road!
Cool car. I got sucked in by a promotional video of it a couple days ago. At this price point it will make a great 2-3 year old car for a hair over 30K
@@MeynMotorGroup probably obsessed was not the word. You are right to a point that they are just brands and business. But lexus to me is such a premium feeling car. Even drivin 14 year old lexus still makes me happy. Not sure if any german car can do that.
Yea we all need to drive something and we just don’t have a choice big business sucks but out of all of them, we can trust Lexus the most to start up work and perform well for it’s intended job
I'm still waiting for a refresh that looks good enough to replace my 2012. The new Lexus interior looks boring and cheap, and the front grill just doesn't work for me on this car.
Do you personally believe it matters where a car is produced? Historically Lexus ES were all made in Japan. But starting in 2015 they started making non hybrid Lexus es350 in the US. Although hybrid models are still all made in Japan.
Honeslty I don't its all done by high tech robotics and machines whether its made in Mexico or Japan a lot of this ES i just drove was produced in the United States.
All the hybrid ES models are made in the U.S. now, as of last year, and as an owner of one I can tell you: yes, it DOES matter. This one is not built as well as the 2013 I had before it. It's not even a year old and I have condensation inside sometimes, moonroof noises, squeaks in the headliner, that type of thing. If you look at the J.D. Power survey awards of the best manufacturing plants, Toyota wins in Japan and Canada, but alas the U.S. plant is never mentioned. There's a reason for that. And as I said in another post, I just KNEW this would happen.
it's more refined to control the infotainment with a knob that with your fingers.... more hygenic as well.. just saying... Go Toyota/Lexus!! great review BTW.. so down to earth, not pretending to be a billionaire buying all cars and pointing out their flaws. You want a great, durable, reliable, elegant, discrete, quiet, smooth, exclusive, quality car??..then LEXUS is for you.
RX and ES are my 2 favorite Lexus models too. But do you feel the ES is big enough for you interior volume wise? Other than a Tesla, Lexus is the most electric car in how reliable and maintenance free it is.
I agree my friend and yes I found the interior to be pretty accommodating I personally had no issues and plenty of head room but of course try it out for yourself. Only thing I really didn't like is not being able to fold down the rear seats especially for a FWD based sedan. Thanks again
I guess only the F sport models comes with AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension). Correct me if I am wrong Kevin as specs are different in different markets.
I traded my '17 ES350 for a '20 ES350. The '17 had 17" wheels and wasa much smoother ride than the '20 as the '20 has 18" wheels. Both cars only got 20 mpg. I also own an '11 which gets 19 mpg.
Oh wow nice glad to see you experienced 3 generations of the ES. Shocked you like the ride of the 17 more but I think in 16 they revised a few things when they refreshed it so maybe it rides better than a 13 and closer to this 2020 model but not sure.
The fact that a Salesman from Toyota is telling me that the Lexus ES350 is the same as the Camry XSE, but the Lexus is more luxurious with more horsepower.
its more like AUDI A6 from the size and interior and price BUT you can have the A6 with so much more engine options upt to over 500hp and V8 . Lexus is lame in their engine lineup. At least they should have put in the V6Hybrid from the GS450H !!!
Except it was never like the A6 in price. I shopped both, and the A6 is considerably more expensive even if you settle for a small four-cylinder engine.
Does it has that solid, refined feel like german cars? Solidity and effortless power? Also does it have a torque steer being front wheel drive? I hate it in older camrys. Great video, love your style of reviewing cars👍🏻
Yes it does feel solid and refined def torque steer but in a strange way its controlled. Its mainly made to be smooth and comfy for straight driving on American roads. For its intended purpose I love it and the engine is a gem thanks again my friend
True, but it's the difference between very good and excellent. Interestingly, most of the new-gen TNGA platform vehicles have been just slightly less reliable than their predecessors, including the old and new Camry. The Corolla has escaped that trend.
Hey I got a question if I’m a first time buyer with No credit can I put a down payment of 4k? If so how does that work will they let me pull out the car and what monthly payment you think I’ll be looking at ? Please let me know, Thank You.
Hello and thank you for the amazing reviews, Do you recommend the LS 2015, GS 2017, or ES 2019? I prefer the GS & ES models for the lower cost maintenance and fuel economy than the V8 LS. But is there a big difference in the level of ride comfort between them? * I have a 2014 Avalon and I want better comfort and lower road noise also, what tires do you recommend for best comfort? @Exhaust Sports Auto
I think a CPO LS 460 would be quietest but coming from an Avalon, the 2019-2020 ES would be perfect, try getting a higher trim like the Ultra Luxury as they use thicker glass apparently. The new ES is truly almost on LS levels of refinememt and better to keep long term
The GS kinda sucks compared to this ES now. Had a 2017 GS350 Premium and while a great car, the interior felt lacking for the money. The new ES does not at all.
@@MeynMotorGroup Yeah I just watched your review on the ES300h and you mentioned that.. wise choice I think I'm gonna go with the ES.. and again thanks a lot for your amazing reviews man keep on
Hi, I appreciate the your reviews, but when reading consumer reviews for this car in 2019-2020, I see a few reviews about the sound system is terrible. Your thoughts?
Thanks so much Matt and that's subjective but this car even with the regular system sounds fine to me the ML is one of the best I've heard but forgot to mention in this video this is the regular system and I dont mind it. But I'm no true audiophile, I would suggest buyers to def check one out in a showroom. Thanks again my friend
Yes very common issue on the 2019. They fixed it for 2020. I have the mark lev on my 2020 and it’s great but the sound in the base trim with nav is also great! No issues for this model year but be careful if buying a 2019.
Since nobody replied... They're not in the same class, and the LS is unquestionably superior on the whole. But some people have described the ES as providing 80% of the LS luxury experience for 50% of the money.
Ooh that's a tough one 2017 LS is def better but if you want that latest tech and a true new car, ES is pretty phenomenal it has a flagship quality to it. But that last year of the V8 is pretty stunning
@@MeynMotorGroup thanks. Great review BTW. And your absolutely right: you can buy one of these and expect 10+ year of worry free driving with nothing but routine maintenance. Cheers!
@@MeynMotorGroup the perfect latte comes to mind when I think of the V6: smooth, creamy and strong for sure. The fact that it sounds great too is a bonus, although the V8 is all those things and more. Not going to lie I want to pilot a Lexus V8 one day
I’m 28 years old. I just bought exactly like this one with same color couple weeks ago I love it but I don’t know what it is but some ticking noises keep coming from the dashboard/ac area, whoever owns one do you hear a noise like that?
Kevin, Any explanation to this observation: I live in Canada, and a search online for a used 2017 & 2018 es350 in my Toronto area gave say 12 results (combined for 2017 & 2018). But a search for only 2019 year gave 21 results. Could that suggest something about that year 2019 and owners giving up that year faster? Just wondering... TIA
Nice review man! You get a Parteon yet? I am debating on buying a 2020 ES or holding off for the refresh of the ES or waiting for the LC 500 to depreciate to the low 50k's. Pretty sad that a 30k 2018 LC 500 & LS500 are already going for 60k on Carmax.
Yes I do have a Patreon haha I just hate advertising it and telling people to subscribe and buy merchandise. 😅 People come to TH-cam to watch videos not really to buy stuff so I hate shoving that down people's throats. Yea a CPO LC 500 is about as good as it gets as far as motoring goes. Especially if you don't need space. But for 2018 models I would suggest getting the 20" forged wheels to make it ride better.
@@MeynMotorGroup 20" over 21" wheels right? I'd Wait for a 2019+ due to the transmission update and ride improvement. I'd go with that white & orange/ blue over caramel. I would rather have the best version of a car at the end of its life.
Yea Torsen Limited slip is only like a$500 option so I assume most cars come with it. I dont have the performance package but I do have the torsen limited slip diff
I cross shopped both and bought a 20 ES-350 Ultra Luxury. The quality of this car is definitely superior to the Avalon although it should be since its more money.
Where is the video of when you drove the LFA? As you state in another video that you've literally driven every lexus ever made. Looking for an honest review of the LFA so it would be great if you can upload that please.
I'm honored you would think someone of my caliber would have reviewed an LFA but no I haven't haha. I kind of want Lexus to hook me up with an LFA press car or something but doubt that would happen. Would love to compare the LFA to the LC even tho they are different cars I feel like it would be a cool video. One day perhaps it can happen.
No it didn't actually man that is dumb I know BMW didn't offer one either on the 3 series and 4 series cars I'm surprised Lexus isn't either very strange
I would rather have this than a Rolls Royce. Problem free, no attention, smaller. I wish Toyota/Lexus made a car that compete with Rolls Royce. Maybe they can sell it under the "Century" brand.
I see this question was nearly a year ago, so I don't know if this helps anymore. But... ES 350: More reliable, better dealer experience, more pleasing engine except for pricey top G80 model, roughly $10,000 cheaper trim for trim. G80: More premium overall in both looks and behavior, more modern, better handling, faster with the optional twin-turbo V6.
Lexus will compete with euro car if the make a suv perfomer :D I was about to buy rx450h but is too slow for a “luxury car” so I chose euro car lexus plus a performer suv just reliable car won’t make sells
No no lol its just a big ol car payment nothing to be proud of but I appreciate it my friend haha. Always best to not spend much on cars great satisfaction in driving ordinary cars and entry level luxury cars like this ES. Appreciate you stopping by
@@MeynMotorGroup ok so I'll just keep my 288k mile fx35 for now😂 The lc500 is one of my dream cars tho, that car is nothing short of a masterpiece IMO, enjoy it!
I've driven a ton of high mileage luxury cars and most of them age flawlessly as long as they are taken care of. Def enjoy that awesome Infiniti they drive great and highly prestigious, that's the type of vehicle I was referring to that provides great satisfaction to own, cheap and prestigious. Yea LC is def amazing for sure Ive driven a lot of cars and this is my most favorite so far but def not necessary to be happy. Thanks again stay blessed my friend
I agree with that and I see Kentucky and then imagine some overweight lazy sloth going half torque on a screw quickly not to get his seat cold on the line. Japanese made has a strong buyer meaning in other parts of the world. Drove a 2012 RAV4 a month ago, plate said Japanese, outdated, but you could feel the absolute quality and handling built, a person can just know when they've been behind the wheel enough years.

can you do a comparison with the 2020 Lexus ES 350 Ultra Luxury vs 2020 Toyota Camry XSE
I've been looking new Camry for 2 years now lol dealers won't give it to me nor will the press so annoying but I want to tho
@@MeynMotorGroup ok LOL
Thanks so much for this review!!! Was considering 2016-2018 es. Been following your reviews on those. I'm 69 years old, and always wanted a lexus. This looks like the one I can pull the trigger on. Will be looking at the 2019 for money reasons, but I am confident that I will have no regrets, as this will be my last car purchase. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Maturity is day dreaming about an es350
Lol true
I’m old!!!! Only 30!!!!
we are going to look at a used one today
I got mine!!!
you've spoken well bruv!
Someone commented that the car has a visibility hazard (from the hump that's above the instrument panel).
Is that true?
Thanks
@@graceamazing5321 I’ve been driving mine for 15 months and I don’t even notice the “hump” you reference. I’m 6’0” but keep the seat very low and mildly reclined. I don’t think the visibility is any worse or better than any other car I’ve driven.
At/around $40k-$45k, the ES may very well be the best luxury bargain in the industry.
Brand new, absolutely it hits way above its weight class
Facts I own a es300 and a es350
Nice
epic fail. why not touch screen and control pad. a $100 phone have it.
Like any car you can get the highest trim, the Ultra Luxury version and load it up with options well into the mid 50K range. This really is a nice car.
You know your day is going to be good when it starts with:
"alright well welcome back to exhaust sports auto, my name is Kevin-"
Haha I'm honored my friend thank you!
Yessir
I came across your video which popped up as a recommendation on my page. I bought my first ever '22 ES 350 10 days ago. The test drive sold me, the three drive modes of ECO, Standard & Sport. LOVE IT in the city or highway, you can't beat the comfort and smooth overall ride. I got the package with the panoramic roof, 12" touch screen and 18" wheels in nightfall metallic blue. You really do get a lotta bang for your buck!
I own a 2020 ES. Love it so far, a car I feel I can keep for several years after I pay it off.
Excellent review! My favorite car. I currently have an Avalon, but will definitely goto the ES next time. Absolute class
Hey thanks so much! Yea Avalon is def nice very refined but you will love this for sure. Thanks again for watching
Thanks so much my friend yea such great and underrated cars for sure
I drove Honda Accords for years (until 2013 when they removed the wishbone suspension and ruined the ride quality). I always thought it was foolish to spend more for a so-called "luxury" sedan because the Accord was an amazing car: handling, ride, room, etc.. The Camry is the same.
it's perfectly the truth Dexter.
38k miles and it's 9 years old? You do not drive at all.
Thank you for your honest assessment of this car. You sound excited about it. Helped me a lot!!
at the end of the day, all the numbers the german manufacturers throw out against this car and how it might not look up to par on paper doesn't matter when your benz is sitting in a shop for half it's life. this car is a fantastic daily and won't let you down.
I think this car looks so good. It's like a baby LS. One super positive thing everyone overlooks is that these take Regular gas, not premium.
Wrong...they take premium...read the manual
@@deanmartin5532 Actually, they do use regular 87 octane gas. You read the wrong manual.
Yes I agree the ES is a gem especially with that V6 you will love it thanks again for stopping by
Each and every Lexus is buttery smooth
NX sucks so does UX and LS500h was weird to drive. ES, IS350 Fsport, RX, and LS500 F sport is their best work
My first Lexus was a 2008 ES 350 fast forward to now my Lexus is a 2018 GS 350 F Sport!
That's awesome!
- Interior larger, much improved dashboard layout, bigger screen, more interior room
- lotsa little things: shifter firmer and more solid, pumping gas doesn't stop with two gallons left to fill, doors opening and shut more solid,
Result: driving habits changed.
(Lexus avg. mileage 2.2.5 lower than shown odisplay )
Regrets: only that my car doesn't have all the luxury features it deserves: automatically closing doors, back seat massage, popup window sunscreens, heated rear seats, automatic ice chest with drinks (don't need Mark Levinson with poor hearing).
Only other car I'd consider: Lexus LS 500h for the luxury and ride, twice as much, roughly same interior room. Where's that lottery ticket??
That is awesome my friend! Glad you like it and thanks so much for sharing your ownership thoughts on both cars. Appreciate you watching like always
I have a 2019 ES 300h as well, only 4k miles because I work from home now. I share many of your observations and if I may, here are my own:
- It IS better than my 2013 in handling and ride; I'd say about 15-20% better.
Or maybe F Sport/ultra luxury, I haven't driven either.
ES looks much more expensive than its sticker price. Very reliable luxury sedan that has room and look.
A really nice car and as always a comprehensive review. Another home-run for Lexus, the only thing I miss are the fog lights.
Ahh I see will check out for sure I heard good things about it here in the States thanks again for letting me know!
"journalists , if you want to call em that" LMFAOO Kevin is the best
lololol glad you appreciated that
Hey Kevin, love your no BS everyday perspective you give on your reviews!
How does this generation of ES compare to the 2013-2015 gs350 in regards to comfort, handling, and acceleration?
Seems like they programmed the 8 speed better for the ES than the Camry and Avalon
They def did
Another great and no nonsense review Kevin - RX and ES both my favorite Lexus vehicles too. ES best sedan for the money!!
Thank you my friend and yes for sure 2 best values and high quality machines really appreciate you watching
Appreciate your work Kevin. Great video and choreography.
Great review as always! Nice to see the Lexus dealer partnering with you to review more cars.
Ahh yes 👍 that makes a ton of sense now thank you for that 😆
Another great review. Will be good to compare the driving characteristics of this model to the es300h. Looks to be luxurious and refined and extremely well made, another triumph for Lexus
Thanks so much! And yes I def plan on comparing with the hybrid soon. Appreciate you for stopping by
Nice car. Lexus makes smooth cars which I do want. I want cushy seats and the design is better than the rx.
Es around here us 45 base. 🙏
Yup exactly very smooth machine thanks again for watching!
@@MeynMotorGroup I think next car is gonna be electric. Vw id 3 with white interior. Pure torque and smoothness 😂🤔🙏
Kevin I Think Lexus Es is Faster Than a Infiniti q50
@@MeynMotorGroup I'll most likely be the same way if I ever get a car with an infotainment system 😆
@@megatronusorionpax4900 yea its not as important as people make it out to be. Heck I still use my phone for GPS lol
10,000% correct
Cool car. I got sucked in by a promotional video of it a couple days ago. At this price point it will make a great 2-3 year old car for a hair over 30K
You are correct. I just bought this year-model for a hair over $30k. Love it.
This guy obsessed with Lexus cars same as me. Supreme built quality. I would love to own brand new one and hold on a decade with it.
Not really I don’t even like Lexus I actually don’t like any major corp. they don’t like us so no need to worship them either
I’m not seeing these new ES models on the road like the previous generations ..
People are probably waiting to buy it Certified Pre Owned 😆
People hold on to the older ones because they’re so good
Another thing to consider people are buying SUV's. Not me, but many people I talk to say they don't like sitting low to the ground.
I'm still waiting for a refresh that looks good enough to replace my 2012. The new Lexus interior looks boring and cheap, and the front grill just doesn't work for me on this car.
Because everyone buying CUV/SUVs.
This is gonna be my first car at 25 and I’m not settling for a cheaper first car. Idc, I like it and I got the money
And as I said in another post, I just KNEW this would happen.
i bought it and love it. ES350 is a lot more car compare to germans counterpart in term of price point as well.
Massive congrats! Yea it truly hits above its weight class very impressive driving quality and interior
“You don’t need an SUV”. So true!
That the seats don’t fold is a dealbreaker for me. I need to carry my bike and don’t want a rack for a $7,000 MTB.
Enjoyed the video as usual bro and the front grill starting to rub off on me lol
Haha yea it does look kinda baller for sure
Exhaust Sports Auto Yupp in a exotic grill way lol
it's more refined to control the infotainment with a knob that with your fingers.... more hygenic as well.. just saying...
Thanks! And yea it's a great car
This model with the N/A V6 will be a modern classic.
My new 2022 ES 350 should arrives the first week of June, I can’t wait.
Did you get it, and how do you like it?
Love your Lexus reviews. Keep it up!
Thank you so much my friend Im truly humbled!
for 3 series money ur getting a LS level quiet cabin ride and refinement.
Exactly that's the main thing. It has a full feel when driving it
@@MeynMotorGroup i also heard its as quiet as the ls430-460. can u confirm or not?
Yes it is def as quiet as those cars
I traded my '17 ES350 for a '20 ES350. The '17 had 17" wheels and wasa much smoother ride than the '20 as the '20 has 18" wheels. Both cars only got 20 mpg. I also own an '11 which gets 19 mpg.
Oh wow nice glad to see you experienced 3 generations of the ES. Shocked you like the ride of the 17 more but I think in 16 they revised a few things when they refreshed it so maybe it rides better than a 13 and closer to this 2020 model but not sure.
The 20 model has more modern features and options. It would be a no--brainer for me.
Thanks for the great video. Which do you recommend, to buy or lease a Lexus?
The fact that a Salesman from Toyota is telling me that the Lexus ES350 is the same as the Camry XSE, but the Lexus is more luxurious with more horsepower.
Awesome review! Should compare it to Fsport trim? Is the fsport worth it? Love the ES!
Thanks so much and yea this was the regular car and I liked it a lot F sport might not be necessary but I def want to try it out!
its more like AUDI A6 from the size and interior and price BUT you can have the A6 with so much more engine options upt to over 500hp and V8 . Lexus is lame in their engine lineup. At least they should have put in the V6Hybrid from the GS450H !!!
Except it was never like the A6 in price. I shopped both, and the A6 is considerably more expensive even if you settle for a small four-cylinder engine.
Can you do the 300h review please.. good job on this review 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you will try to get one for review
I like the Sunlit green/ brown beige color combo but it's only available on the base model and the hybrids (which I'm not interested in).
For its intended purpose I love it and the engine is a gem thanks again my friend
thanks for the review
Thank you my friend
@@MeynMotorGroup can you do a comparison between the 2020 Lexus ES 350 Ultra Luxury vs 2020 Toyota Camry XSE
Please review the first gen venza!! It's a very underrated car!
Haha I would but that won't get any views unfortunately
@@MeynMotorGroup it's based on the Lexus RX though 😂
According to consumer reports the previous gen actually had less problems (more reliable) than this newer gen.
True, but it's the difference between very good and excellent. Interestingly, most of the new-gen TNGA platform vehicles have been just slightly less reliable than their predecessors, including the old and new Camry. The Corolla has escaped that trend.
How does it compare to Huyndai genesis you owned? Epsicially from refinmet, quietness and quality of the ride point of view
Yea its about the same level of refinement and quietness as a G80 but G80 def handles a lot better than an ES
Which one would you pick between ES 350 vs Acura Rlx?
Probably ES since everything feels so new. RLX handles a lot better tho
Es 350 , friend lexus lives for ever.
Hey I got a question if I’m a first time buyer with No credit can I put a down payment of 4k? If so how does that work will they let me pull out the car and what monthly payment you think I’ll be looking at ? Please let me know, Thank You.
I think in Australia all the 2020 models are hybrid engines.
What do you think about 2020 es350 base with 50k miles for 22k?
Hello and thank you for the amazing reviews,
Do you recommend the LS 2015, GS 2017, or ES 2019?
I prefer the GS & ES models for the lower cost maintenance and fuel economy than the V8 LS.
But is there a big difference in the level of ride comfort between them?
* I have a 2014 Avalon and I want better comfort and lower road noise
also, what tires do you recommend for best comfort?
@Exhaust Sports Auto

No issues for this model year but be careful if buying a 2019.
justdreaminvlog yea I have 2020 es with no ML and it sounds amazing
Good info guys thank you
The sound on my ML 2020 ES is great!
why would someone buy anything else than this, its almost perfect
I would buy it if I could

Humbled by that Gordon thank you!
So u like this more than an LS?
Since nobody replied... They're not in the same class, and the LS is unquestionably superior on the whole. But some people have described the ES as providing 80% of the LS luxury experience for 50% of the money.
Great review. Beautiful and luxurious car.
You were talking about winter traction, I'm putting Michelin cross climate ➕ tires on my gs 350 this Friday. Supposed to be the best of both worlds?
I've heard good things about that tire but it's a michelin so I'm sure it won't disappoint
Hey, how effective is noise wheel reduction technology? I am considering premium base vs ultra-luxury package. Thank you
Very effective go with the luxury or ultra luxury trim it is worth it
Planning on replacing my 2011 ES this December and looking to spend around $45k. This 2020 ES or CPO 2017 LS?
Ooh that's a tough one 2017 LS is def better but if you want that latest tech and a true new car, ES is pretty phenomenal it has a flagship quality to it. But that last year of the V8 is pretty stunning
@@MeynMotorGroup thanks. Great review BTW. And your absolutely right: you can buy one of these and expect 10+ year of worry free driving with nothing but routine maintenance. Cheers!
LS!!!!
Creamy delight! 😂 great imagery Kevin
Hahaha 😆 yea interesting choice of words I admit
@@MeynMotorGroup the perfect latte comes to mind when I think of the V6: smooth, creamy and strong for sure.
The fact that it sounds great too is a bonus, although the V8 is all those things and more. Not going to lie I want to pilot a Lexus V8 one day
I’m 28 years old. I just bought exactly like this one with same color couple weeks ago I love it but I don’t know what it is but some ticking noises keep coming from the dashboard/ac area, whoever owns one do you hear a noise like that?
Check the attachment points of the console knee pads. They may need insulating tape.
Kevin,
Any explanation to this observation:
I live in Canada, and a search online for a used 2017 & 2018 es350 in my Toronto area gave say 12 results (combined for 2017 & 2018). But a search for only 2019 year gave 21 results.
Could that suggest something about that year 2019 and owners giving up that year faster?
Just wondering...
TIA
Apparently I heard 2019 models had some software issues like with the ML audio the 2020 and up ES models are pretty much perfect
@@MeynMotorGroup oh quick response! Thanks, maybe I will wait 1year more to get a CPO 2020.

Ultra Luxury not necessary, the luxury trim also includes double pane glass I would go for that mid level Luxury don't buy base if you can.
Waiting for the "Goodbye Stinger" video.
What?
Is premium fuel required on this car? Thanks.
Highly suggested but atleast use plus
No. Regular is recommended and is tuned for it. Plus and premium wild be a waste of money.
This Lexus has a Jaw like the singer from Creed! I prefer my 2007 ES350, no need for me to upgrade or should I say, DOWNGRADE
This car is way better than the 2007
Does it have a sunglass holder? I have a 2013 es 350 and I have no idea why there isn't one.
No it didn't actually man that is dumb I know BMW didn't offer one either on the 3 series and 4 series cars I'm surprised Lexus isn't either very strange
My 2008 GS has one, surprises that this one doesn’t
Almost Perfect. Rear Heated Seats Are Needed !
Yea that would be nice
But I heard your butt was hot enough... I keed....
It didn't matter for me since I rarely have rear passengers.
always confuse this with the LS
Yea they look very similar
I would rather have this than a Rolls Royce. Problem free, no attention, smaller. I wish Toyota/Lexus made a car that compete with Rolls Royce. Maybe they can sell it under the "Century" brand.
Can you compare a 2020 ES350 to a Genesis G80?
I see this question was nearly a year ago, so I don't know if this helps anymore. But... ES 350: More reliable, better dealer experience, more pleasing engine except for pricey top G80 model, roughly $10,000 cheaper trim for trim. G80: More premium overall in both looks and behavior, more modern, better handling, faster with the optional twin-turbo V6.
Lexus will compete with euro car if the make a suv perfomer :D I was about to buy rx450h but is too slow for a “luxury car” so I chose euro car lexus plus a performer suv just reliable car won’t make sells
Can you please do the hybrid version
I def can if this video does well!
Wait you own a LC500? What am I doing with my life?😂 congrats bro
Can you tell something about 2007 es350
th-cam.com/video/lVyvMd--1vk/w-d-xo.html
Here you are my friend
Where was the ES 350 made? If made in USA - I don't buy. Reason, "I don't want 1 screw loose."
Yeah can't trust US quality control. They are now built in Kentucky and have been since the 2013 model
