Went to a private screening last night and I continue to be amazed by the quality of MCU movies! It makes me so frustrated at movies like Dark Phoenix that my beloved X-Men don’t get this kind of treatment. Spider-Man Far From Home is a must see!

I actually didn't love Endgame. Time travel stories always leave me feeling a little cold, and I didn't love how Thor or the Hulk were handled. But I hope this is as good as you say and that it keeps me on-board with the MCU going forwards. I really like Jake as an actor, and Mysterio was always one of my favourite villains when I used to watch the Spider-Man animated series. I used to sit there hoping for Venom or Mysterio to be the villain of the week.

Okay- honest review from an MCU fan! Far From Home wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. If you liked Homecoming- you’ll probably love this movie! If you didn’t like Homecoming- like me- you will enjoy FFH more, but not by much. It wasn’t as cheesy or cringey, however there were some truly horrible moments. The end credits scenes were amazing though- I’ll be interested to see where Marvel takes the Spidey character. I do like how they are slowly moving Spidey away from the Iron Man shadow, but I hope they keep Spidey’s identity more hidden (somehow) and use that cameo’d character in the first end credits scene!
Hmm, as a Marvel fan, of course I love Endgame but that finality was earned. Are we saying that the previous films should have had more fatalities of our favorite lead characters? Don’t mind a darker film either like BvS. Grace, great review of Far from Home.

I was fortunate enough to score screening passes to a local press screening last night. I totally agree with your review Grace. Honestly, I thought it would take an epic event to usurp Toby McGuire as my favorite Peter Parker, but Tom Holland just smacked it out of the park. The passion and emotion with which he delivers his lines, given his role in a post-Tony Stark world, is so heart-felt and so parallels RDJ's emotion and passion about seemingly carrying the weight of the world on his back with regards to the fate of the Avengers. I found myself inside the character and feeling everything he was describing. Great job to the writers and to Holland for his exceptional performance.
Can’t wait to see it... I’ve been reading Spider-Man comics since the 80’s and was pleasantly surprised by into the Spiderverse. It really was a worthy Spider-Man story that sits at the top with other great Spider-Man stories, all media considered. Miles and both Peter’s were perfectly portrayed ... I feel like the writers really knew their stuff when it came to that movie and I can’t wait for the sequel. Now u say this movie is on THAT level???? Going to see that movie for sure this weekend!!!
In my opinion I think the first end credit doesn't just affect Spider-Man but the entire MCU as a whole. I would even go as far to say that it does more to affect the MCU in the short term whereas the second one affects the MCU more long term.

Ok Grace, I LOVED the movie, but the 2nd favorite MCU movie? No, it is overstating it I would say. There other great MCU movies that deserve to be 2nd favorite after Endgame, such as Winter Soldier, Civil War, Ragnarok and Dr. Strange.
First half of the movie had a lot of pacing issues and random scene jumps (there was a major sequence in the trailer that isn't even in the movie), second half of the movie was way better and gave us some of the best action sequences in a superhero movie. Those two post-credit scenes were also amazing.
Guess you’ll have to change your top 10 in 2019 so far, and for good reason! But aww man you got me SO hyped up for this movie, damn you Grace! I love that you’re someone we can come to for non-spoilers but great insight at the same time. Wish I could touch on all the things you just mentioned but there’s just so much!!! I didn't know people had an issue with spoilers on these reviews. I just watch the first minute to confirm Grace liked it, then add the review to my Watch Later queue and come back when I've seen it. Spoilers and Teen Pregnancy: the only sure-fire strategy is abstinence. And the best MCU movie remains Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If this is as good as that, we've got something.
Its brilliant how they set up phase 4. None of us including myself were given any hint about phase 4 and we all assumed Far from home would serve more as slow intro to phase 4. Ned is in on the secret, which makes it hard for Peter to leave him on multiple levels. Ned is someone Peter can confide in about things most people can't know. Ned is someone who can help Peter in ways other people can't. Although with MJ getting in on the secret, some of this goes away, a guy still needs a guy friend to confide in sometimes, mostly about his girl troubles.

Ned is in on the secret, which makes it hard for Peter to leave him on multiple levels. Ned is someone Peter can confide in about things most people can't know. Ned is someone who can help Peter in ways other people can't. Although with MJ getting in on the secret, some of this goes away, a guy still needs a guy friend to confide in sometimes, mostly about his girl troubles.

It would be nice if all the STUNT DOUBLE people would get some credit . I am pretty sure , thanx to them , is that our favorite characters look great in the final product .

I always find it strange when people mention being in a cinema when people cheer or clap. It doesn't happen here so sounds kinda alien.

I feel like you also exacerbate the differences between MCU and DC fans. Most people, who are worth addressing anyways, either love or tolerate both and don’t choose sides in a war - this seems like something you try to propagate tbh.
