Owned boats for most of my life, in that time you get to see alot of boat drama, it is funny to watch the couple spending so much time getting ready only to forget the rear straps, and than not being able to laugh about it, looks like their great company for each other.
Waiting at a boat ramp to load up. Saw a guy sitting in the boat and the woman backing the boat up. This guy was just cussing away at her . Go back , go back . He had the throttle at full reverse. The boat just sat there. He is cussing her out. There vans tailpipe is way underwater. Of course the dumb ass never took the back straps off. That woman should have put van in reverse and rock on gas pedal and walked away. Mind you there was about 20 spectators also. Lol
I don't know why more people don't do this, but when I owned a boat I made myself a laminated checklist. On the front I had a "before launching" section and a "launching" section, and on the back I had "before arrival" and "recovery". Never made any mistakes. I'm also a pilot, so that's where I got the idea. Even if you think you know what you're doing, you should always follow a checklist.
I just want to say thank you! I’ve been looking into buying a boat and have been thinking the worst when it comes to things like that. This would keep me organized and ready. 👏👏👏
Absolutely right. There's not a single one of us who hasn't fumbled the ball at least once. Forgetting the transom straps is a minor thing. Hell I've seen veteran tournament anglers forget the drain plug. Hey, it happens. That couple clearly has issues. Why not just smile at the camera and say, "hey, it was just a brain fart" and laugh about it. Look up the word "asshole" and you'll see a picture of this couple.
That’s not making yourself look bad, that’s making yourself look like a complete JACKASS! When you can’t laugh at yourself. Those two look like that they’re just better than everyone else………
but filming people on their vacation is also stupid how about im your neighbor and filming in my yard. that your children playi g in the pool are "accidently" on the video (for hours- "sorry") is ok for you, isnt it?...
Just because there’s no law against it does not mean it’s OK for you to do it it’s OK for you to do it. Maybe as long as you don’t get your ass kicked.
It's sad that people can't be cordial to each other now a days. When I go out, I offer the cameraman $20 to remove me from the video when I make a bonehead mistake. So far, I've gone through both kids college fund and thinking about taking out a second mortgage.🤣🤣🤣
The first boat to put in- that’s how it’s done! But man that’s a steep ramp. I thought the bass boat was going under before it came off the trailer. And I made that same mistake once, only once. gave it gas and boat didn’t want to go, then realized real quick I forgot the straps on the back. I quickly ran to back of boat, leaned over and snapped them lose. But I never stop at top of ramp and start loading stuff in boat like that. You do that out of the way of others trying to use the ramp.
I prep the boat at home, including the drain plug, then unstrap it in the parking lot, passenger gets out and grabs the bow line, back into the water, the boat slides off, and I park the truck. Takes no time at all, unless someone decides to unload all of their gear, while blocking the ramp.
Same here but I solo launch. Back boat in water, jump on boat and move it out of the way of the ramp to the side, run back to truck, park truck, run back to boat before someone standing owner it taking inventory of my stuff! 🤣 I’m at the ramp for less than a minute and it’s open for the next boat.
Strange they forget the tie downs, but he did remember his coffee. I had a set order at the boat ramp and when I dropped off a semi-trailer. That way nothing was forgotten not even the coffee.
Can't believe the comments in here, I'd bet any money if any of you were doing this and someone weirdo that has no friends was filming you, you would be pissed off too.
Yeah they probably thought that he was 'putting too much pressure on them' by filming because it FORCED THEM to make multiple mistakes. What a loser couple. 😔
I remember being soo excited to take my brand new Ranger out...I did a stellar job launching... Get out to the fishing hole, land a musky keep fishing... next thing I know water is coming up through the skupper holes. Silly me forgot the drain plug. Pulled the boat to shore put the drain plug in and kept fishing. Had a good laugh at myself.
Hats off to you brother you took that better then I would have. I would have made sure they had to change a flat before they went back to the Rock they live under.
Really? You would resort to breaking the law just because someone gave you the finger? You're part of the problem and probably the reason they act the way they do.

I'm a private person and like to keep to myself. I wouldn't want to have my boat launch filmed and then shared on TH-cam either. Having said that, if there was someone videoing when I go to launch my boat, I wouldn't give them the finger. Me being a private person is my issue and I don't expect other people to stop what they enjoy doing, such as making TH-cam videos.
Wow great comment at first was about to roll my eyes but the last sentence was perfect. I'm a private person myself and usually mess up when I know eyes are on me but what they do is them, life's way to short to be mad over something so small😊
That's because we are on the water literally every time we can, rain or shine. Everyone one of us have made 100 different mistakes, 100 times over and learned from them, until our prep becomes muscle memory. Fishing time is premium. The weekend boaters, or once in a blue moon boaters, need to lighten the hell up and not be so nervous about people watching them. It's supposed to be fun. They get too bent out of shape about looking like novices, instead of some of the stuff they should be uptight about, like being a safe and cordial boater. Nobody is paying that much attention to a bunch of rando's harmless goofs, and if you get on a goofy boating video doing something silly...oh well, laugh it off.
10:50 That was uncalled for? The couple did jut fine, but forgot to untie the rear of the boat which is something that happens all the time to the best of boaters. What the HE__! Cheers to you as these are the people we are here to see ultimately, JERKS! 😁😎👍✌
That couple is miserable man. First thing in the morning, they’re out on the water but they are not a happy couple. Poor dogs probably get kicked and abused. Other boaters are happy, smiling and waving to you. Sad for those two. Thanks for the video!
Such a shame that some people have to take themselves so seriously, they could have simply laughed off their blunder and had fun with it. But then he's a guy who wears socks with sandals !
Yup I think they were fine until you caught them messing up. And then they got angry, some people just want to think that they are perfect and never make mistakes. And then blame it on others. That still wasn't very nice of them though.
I used 2 have a marine service company located right on the boat ramp! Never a dull moment! After gaining our composure from hysterical laughter we usually ended up performing sum kind of rescue! 🤯😳😂
Perhaps they were concerned with people filming them trying to enjoy themselves and it distracted them from the rear straps. They obviously have their system down pat and have done this quite a bit. Darrin not removing his straps was a mistake probably most boaters have made at least once but the finger really exposed his lack of self confidence. I have been boating for over 50 years and nothing has changed at the boat launch.
I don't get the forgetting the straps or drain plug. I have to go through a 2hr process of raising the mast, mounting the outboard, connecting solar/battery and electronics before I can even think about the unhooking the straps. I park at the back of the lot during setup to be out of the way and a few people usually show up to watch a mast raising. Also I physically go around my boat 1 last time before launch doing a check list like a pilot before take-off.
Karen and Darren just moved from California they really are trying to leave that old bad behavior behind. It is just hard not to blame others for their short comings and mistakes..... Someday we all hope they learn that behavior of a 12 yer old really isn't becoming of adults.

They brought their dog AND their cat? 🎖It's great entertainment to watch someone do something stupid (we all do it) and then get angry at others simply because they witnessed it. Yeah, I remember when I was five years old...
Funny to me how Karen and Darren should have done all the prep in the parking lot with the dogs, straps and the 30 oz Diet Coke but failed then cracked under pressure then blame it all on the camera guy 🤦🏻♂️
Darren and Karen are just pissed off because they forgot the straps on the back of the boat. I think they got embarrassed, rookie move. I would hate to go through life pissed off like that all the time. Be cool don’t be a fool.
Dont they have boat prep lanes? We do in Colorado and the park police would not let you launch if they notice you have a drain plug or your tow straps on. This is boating 101 folks. But the boating one01 people is what makes these videos and hanging around the ramp waiting for the trailer so enjoyable.
Funny story, and you showed up random on my feed. We had a 15.5 Bonita (what I was told, lol, sont crucify what I was told as a child, lol)... My dad and I went out to the local chain of lakes, Winter Park, FL. We get the boat in and it's starts filling with water. My dad forgot to put the plug in. Whatever plug that was. He told me to ride as fast as I could, riding the boat so it was inclined, to drain the water and he could put the plug in. I was terrified 😰, lol. Maybe 14 y/o? We drained the boat, got the plug in, and dad made me swear I'd not tell mom 😍😂 I'm 54 y/o now... Would love a boat. Those memories are priceless 💔🙏💕
The funny part is, they were rude to someone who recorded their truck make, model, and license plate, and they left it parked there while they boated away. It's a good thing for them you aren't unhinged, or their truck and trailer might be.a burned out wreck when they come back....
Karen got on my nerves continually petting the dog instead of troubleshooting to see what was wrong. Also that 2 stroke sounded horrible! Glad I had a 4 stroke !
Wow

One thing I’ve learned from these videos is it looks like owning a boat is a big pain and not worth the hassle.
And these vids are supposed to be the fun part of boat ownership.
It really is, unless you have a place on the water to store it. One of the best days of my life is when I finally sold mine.
It is worth it but being on edge and boating should never be in the same sentence.

I feel for the dogs living with those 2 cranks ! I bet the winter night's fly by in their house !! 🤣🤣🤣
They brought their dog AND their cat? 🎖It's great entertainment to watch someone do something stupid (we all do it) and then get angry at others simply because they witnessed it. Yeah, I remember when I was five years old...
😆😂
Lots of bass boats boy it was crazy ... guy on the boat was like okay buddy, bless your heart ❤️ he thought you were special like Special Olympics
Funny to me how Karen and Darren should have done all the prep in the parking lot with the dogs, straps and the 30 oz Diet Coke but failed then cracked under pressure then blame it all on the camera guy 🤦🏻♂️
2 stroke Karen and Darren got salty cause they forgot the trailer straps. Gotta blame somebody and you were the only one around lol
Thank You have a good night
Darren and Karen are just pissed off because they forgot the straps on the back of the boat. I think they got embarrassed, rookie move. I would hate to go through life pissed off like that all the time. Be cool don’t be a fool.
Dont they have boat prep lanes? We do in Colorado and the park police would not let you launch if they notice you have a drain plug or your tow straps on. This is boating 101 folks. But the boating one01 people is what makes these videos and hanging around the ramp waiting for the trailer so enjoyable.
Dude was just pissed because he made himself look like an idiot.😂
That last boat was gorgeous! I wish I could go back to my younger days and buy a bass boat.
Karen drove it in, Darren backed it in. Good show.
Maybe
14 y/o? We drained the boat, got the plug in, and dad made me swear I'd not tell mom 😍😂 I'm 54 y/o now... Would love a boat. Those memories are priceless 💔🙏💕
Very cool story Thank You for sharing
I like the father and sons launch system. That’s how my boy and I do it :)
That is what my brother and I used to do have a good day
@@milonewadventure1583 cheers, you too :)
Tell them to have a Happy Halloween! 😂😂😂
lol lol
The funny part is, they were rude to someone who recorded their truck make, model, and license plate, and they left it parked there while they boated away. It's a good thing for them you aren't unhinged, or their truck and trailer might be.a burned out wreck when they come back....
Or towed
I think you have issues
I agree. Just to think that.
Oh, I don't have issues like that, but you all damn well know that there are people out there who do. And you give them a wide berth....
LOL I would have just told you I was checking to be sure my boat could hold my trailer up.
Forgot the back straps lol..🤣
I think he was jealous of your job🤣
Sorry man if that was me I would have told you “you got that damm”.
By the time those super friendly people are done screwing around it is time to load back up LOL
Karen got on my nerves continually petting the dog instead of troubleshooting to see what was wrong. Also that 2 stroke sounded horrible! Glad I had a 4 stroke !
Guy gives you the Finger and tells you to get a Real Job I am 70 years old worked a long time What is a Real Job Please Explain

Poor widdle diddums @@mikejungferman4744
Nice looking pup!
The guy was so embarrassed.... but his response shows his intellect.
Don't sweat it man. Those are the people you just know were dropped on their head multiple times when they were children
