To the person who said ''He owes us for supporting him, the least he could do is stay single''. He didn't ask for any of this support and why do some ''fans'' feel entitled to celebs' love life. LEVE THEM ALONE JEEZ!! This is sickening smh.
Fans are too entitled in China! To treat celebrities like this are horrible. Look what happened to Princess Diana, just replace the paparazzi with fans.😢😭😱😱
That's why I love my country alway them to live their life do you want them to be single till they die this Chinese fans should go and get a life and stop putting their nose in someone's business
So very true so fans are very toxic I really feel for them i do watch a lot of chinese dramas but when I read what they go throw it's horrible why can't they just leave them alone and some say horrible things about them also . Maybe it's just me but I think they should just respect their privacy
Why judge who made the fans God celebrities have the right to their own life’s fan’s need to get a life me I just want to enjoy all the drama’s and what they do in their personal time is theirs.
As a foreign fan, I really don't get how harsh fans are in China. From my perspective, if a celebrity I like gets married I'm happy for them. The yare human s and deserve their privacy. I really don't get the control and invasion of privacy of these fans at all.
Chinese fans don't care in fact a lot of fans actively encourage romance for their idols. Chinese audiences only get fed up if their selling point is hot single could be anyone's bf/gf then find out their real image is different from what they are selling. It's openly lying. People prefer honesty, or just don't over share. If you have the talent, nobody cares, plenty of well respected, talented celebrities that keep their private lives private. They are respected and celebrated.
Being a celebrity is like stepping into a spider's web or becoming a prey to vultures whose desires can never be satiated. Once the celebrity falls, they look for another prey to play with. Where the entertainment industry before was purely for entertainment, today it has become a deadly arena where the audience can change the rules and the outcome of the game. Becoming a celebrity is like a moth approaching the attractive flame unaware that it can burn them. Let's pray for a change in our society. Hoping for the return of the simple life... pure entertainment.. no unrealistic demands . Devoid of vanity.. no externals..
I thinking calling them fans is really an embarrassment to the rest of the fans world wide. These are toxic, stalkerish people intend on stifling the life out of the celebrities they idolise. It truly is beyond comprehension, it's no wonder they've been quite a number of celebity deaths in these countries. It’s really disheartening and shameful behaviour
True fans will just support them and view them from a distance. If they get marry, their fans will just congratulate them. I’m a big fan of Hu Ge but if I get a chance to meet him, I’ll just say no thank you to meeting him. I wouldn’t know what to say to him but you’re awesome, I enjoyed your dramas, which is unnecessary to say.
These so called fans seem to be teenagers who,the world over, are infamous for being shallow, moody, and judgmental. The internet has given them a voice they should never have had. They are too unstable, ignorant and self absorbed to be given any kind of power over anything. Particularly teen girls are subject to creating drama just for dramas sake and not for some actual rationale. They have too much time on their hands and are not engaged in anything useful or meaningful.A society that allows its teens unbridled behavior is a doomed society.they need to be gotten under control by their parents. Like take all of their devices away for months and insist they engage in meaningful activities. Monitor their use of said devices and block them from social media accounts.Any lip or guff from them and extend the time of the removal of their devices. They are like dogs who have inept owners who do not know how to discipline them. They act out,act crazy and become hostile and vicious. It’s not a governmental issue it’s a parental and societal issue.
I've just got into cdramas earlier this summer, after 4 years of watching ( and binging on kdramas), the brutality of celebrity culture in East Asia appears to be beyond comprehension - why should any famous person adapt who they are, restrict themselves as if they owe their fans anything - they don't! Parasocial relationships are one sided ( from the fan) and so are not real! It's bad enough what celebs go through in 'The West' but in China and South Korea this seems to go to another insane level ...where some celebs have sadly had to *unlive* themselves because of the nasty comments, bullying and online abuse they receive from 'fans'....and haters! Full-scale 'fanatic' narcissism there - when you think someone ( even a celebrity you don't actually know!), somehow 'owes you back' or that you're entitled to their personal life choices, and also expect them to return 'the favour' because of a choice YOU made to support or help them. I really hope there is some sort of legislation that can protect these celebrities as what they do as entertainers is not easy - you put yourself out there constantly on show for the good, the bad, the ugly and the unworthy to see! Good luck to them, I hope they get the support they need and deserve, and 'those fans' need to chill out and focus on their own lives!
Don't say Asia. In india none of these happens. Most of the celebrities got married and have kids, and they continue to act and they are famous as well.
Absolutely. I am an Indian, neighbour to China. But such terrible things don' t happen here. We love our stars, cheer for them, fill in the multiplexes and auditorium, but never expect them to be like mechanised dolls. They have love life, freely marry, have children, continue to act and their popularity does not wane a bit. Many of our top stars shot to the top when they were already married with families. There was no problem, and still there is nothing. Rather, we appreciate them because they are balancing their personal and professional lives nicely. I just can' t comprehend this craziness. These people are behaving abnormally and scaring their idols.
Beautifully explained !!!! It is heartbreaking to watch how some of these idols are “mobbed” to the point of extremely unsafe situations. It really is extremely concerning, and as a healthcare professional, I truly worry about their physical and mental health up against all of this. I see patients with mental health issues every shift I work. This is no joke, people. Back off!!!
Well said. I am appalled at the vitriol of so called "fans" and "netizens". Their sole purpose seems to be to bludgeon their idols into death or submission. China and Sputh Korea seem to be the worst (what a surprise Confucian societies topping the bullying and entitlement lists... not) but Thai BL fans are also rabid. had never heard of fan service until I started watching those. Dreadful. I am shocked at the extent to which celebrity lives are impacted and controlled. They are allowed to have their own lives and make their own choices. Of course they have to expect a level of publicity as it the very nature of the beast but the deviant nature of these fans and what companies expect from them is utterly ridiculous. I had noticed the extreme skinniness of Chinese and South Korean women and even the men, but women in particular. The savagery is heavier for the women in general. I don't see how it is sustainable. I can't imagine how much they must mock us in the West. This terrible culture needs to change. For the Indians out there, I don't think India is considered when people say "Asia" usually. India uniquely stands on its own. In my view it always has. So don't worry, we know you are different lol.
These are not fans.. they are mentally sick! It's one thing to admire one's work or to some degree esthetics..but interfering with their personal life is criminal activity. These ppl are sick
I agree 100%. To call these people "fans" is an insult to true fans! These are bunch of neurotic, people who need to get a REAL life and what most of them are doing is harassment which is punishable by law. I would show them NO MERCY
It's stupid. They're stupid. Fans, Anti-Fans, and Fanatics deserve nothing. The government needs to go after these people to the fullest extent of the law when they commit crimes.
They all mentally sick...they live thier life of thier own bt don't want if others live own .....whyy these celebrities give soo much important to these ...companies makes money o the heads of celebrities...too much control on people life.. OMG..thank god we live without any sword hanging on our necks.....they were all top most celebrities of China. Why. They don't take any serous action towards them
YES!!!! Great point. The actors/idols agencies should be standing up and protecting them from these horrible, selfish fans. Any stalking or abuse of any kind should be taken seriously by the government and police. It is scary that these "fans" are able to control the entertainment industry like this! The industry needs to do better and teach these fans how to be respectful, courteous and kind, instead of ostracizing, shaming and blaming the poor actors/idols for being human.
This makes me feel very sad. I love a lot of the celebrities that were mentioned, enjoy their work immensely, and want them to be happy. I’m a fan, but would never do crazy stuff or intrude on their lives, or expect them to give up having a private life and dating and marriage. That’s crazy! But I’m from USA, not Chinese.
A lot of what happens in China DOES indeed happen in the USA, don't be fooled. A lot of actors get their homes broken into, are stalked at the airport, and there was an incident where a football player garbage was searched for condoms. I't in USA.
I love Cdramas. When I first starting looking up the actors and actresses I liked, I could never find anything about them. Who they were dating etc. It's interesting to know about their background. Then come to find out the Asian fans in particular the Chinese fans are like rabid rats. They tear apart the actors they love if there is even a hint of gossip about them with someone. What on earth? Does the fact that they are ACTING for a living not sink in? It's super creepy how they are.
Já vi atores coreanos pedirem desculpa porque se casaram. Alguns só contam sobre seu relacionamento depois que estão esperando filhos para dar muito margem aos ataques.
I like your identification of the stans/fans/netizens. They are rabid rats , rabid fox, just a rabid animal, diseased. I'm surprised that they even have an entertainment industry. To actually sit there with your(the so called fans)self-righteous, narcissistic, entitled, vicious, unqualified, ignorant demands on a person who you will most likely never meet, never know your name, never spend even 1 personal minute face to face with is despicable, deplorable, degrading (to the idol/celebrity) and disgusting. Isn't Asian culture supposed to be big on respect and family. How many times do those people have to be told that they are filthy, ugly and in the scheme of things, they are nothing more than vomit. Vomit doesn't dictate anyone's life, except for the person who is puking.
Well, I've said this many times now: nowadays people don't have true sense of real value. They pay attention only to appearance. And this appearance they demand is a fake one. We, as humans, can't be like dolls - all in "perfect size and shape"! And our beauty must came from our hearts. From our souls. This is what fans must understand. And if you like and support someone, doesn't mean that you own that person!
encore: this is what you get when your dramas portray people looking and behaving like 14-year olds - these fans here are clearly behaving like 6-year old brats - only in a really dangerous fashion. in the west we call it stalking, and it is a crime.
None of us have any right to a say in their lives. Wow! I wonder how some of us would feel if our lives were out there for all to see. Doubt whether we'd like it.
I can never understand the obsession some people have to be famous...THIS is unfortunately the downside to fame that I personally would not want. THANKS but NO THANKS. I don't need anybody all up in my grill.
There are many reasons for this obsessive behaviour. The One Child Policy along with the need for parents to work fulltime, was not conducive to children being taught properly how to behave in society. Youth unemployment is growing and it leaves many with far too much time on their hands to dedicate to social media. Capital has latched on to the idea that if celebrities endorse their products, fans will spend any amount of money in order to boost their idol's status which in turn gives fans a huge amount of power. This needs to stop. Companies should be selling products based on their intrinsic value, not on stars' fandoms. In a society long ruled by elders with very conservative values, young people can only vent their anger and frustration on the internet by harsh denunciations of anyone whom they see as undeserving of fame. The situation will only improve if one of two things happens: either the government will impose even more restrictions on the public on top of all the censorship which already exists and all the rules which govern people's lives; or the stars get together and form a defensive barrier against overbearing fan behaviour with a unified front so that if one star is maligned unfairly the others will speak out for that person and chastise their own fans who misbehave.
The one child policy children are in their mid 30s-40s now. They aren't the one who are obsessed with celebrities. It is the 2 children and 3 children policy youngsters who are obsessed with celebrities. 😂
@@tian5852 Bullies rarely realise what they are doing is bullying. We all tend to rationalise - the victim was asking for it, I;m just putting him in his place, this makes me feel superior etc. Only when they are confronted with the effects can they change their own behaviour. For these celebrities, the wisest and best thing to do is to take the bully to court - that has a very sobering effect on anyone but it needs to be done as soon as possible so that the slander doesn't take wings.
To me, becoming a supportive fan is the enjoyment of watching their films or series or listening to their music. The Artist’s talent is why i support them and their hard work at their craft is the only reward I expect for my support.
It's really sad to know what my favorite Chinese celebrities are going through in China. They're human after all and imperfect like any one of us and deserve to have a normal life. We all get old, sick and die. Life is too short not to be lived to the fullest.
I also wanted to say that I have noticed very mature and caring fans who protect the private lives of celebrities by not saying everything they could. I wish there were more of these people.
NO Fans absolutely have No say in a celeb's personal life or relationships that is going way to far!!!!!! Celebs are human beings with human rights no fan owns them they love their work and love to entertain their fans it's their passion and job but they don't live for their fans they live for themselves
Distorted parasocial relationships...the very idea that a fan, who CHOSE to spend money on an Artist/Actor/Musician, should then have a say over that persons life is beyond entitlement, and borders on a slavers mentality. As a westerner, and even a fan of many Asian celebrities, I find myself feeling overwhelmed by the expectations of some of my fellow fan mates...I have never publicly commented on so many fan related things in my life. Some fans will kill a career over a PERCEIVED slight only to then find out they were wrong...but even if it was true, LEAVE THE FANDOM, why try to KILL SOMEONE (figuratively AND literally, in some cases)!
moral of the story - live your life, breathe and do what makes you happy. No one else has to live your life but you. You can just exist and someone somewhere will have an issue with it. Enjoy doing what you want.
His antis think those images of him looking dishevelled after fighting with a powerful character would turn off viewers. Though he was intentionally made to look dishevelled for the scene, he actually still looked good which just showed his handsomeness can't be denied LOL
Heartbreaking & sickening that people go so far. I've never understood why fans feel like their idols owe them anything - appearance or relationship wise. If you are a genuine fan of a singer or actor's work, wouldn't you want them to have supportive and meaningful relationships in their lives. I really wish we could see more Korean and Chinese celebrities in relationships and having families. It is gross for anyone in a fandom to want a lonely and devoid life for their idols.
Famous people are subject to criticism, persecution and exaggerated expectations by fans in many countries. It seems that in China it reached an extreme level. Everyone wants to see a good movie or series and connect what or experience excitement depends on what you are looking for, but it does not give the right to anyone to decide what an actor can or cannot do. Private life everyone wants but doesn't shy away from wanting to rule over others...interesting that the country that allows it can get and expect someone to work for them as an actor. Of course money rules and many want to be rich in a short time. I think fans who cannot give constructive criticism and recognition when someone is good and talented are not really fans, they are jealous and obsessed people who have problems with their own identity. "If it's not your clothes then don't wear it, but if it is then dress really well."
I would really love it if these so called fans had to live like these celebrities. They should be body slammed, told who they can and can not be around, and who they date and marry. Fans are wrong if they think because they watch stars dramas, movies, or buy merchandise, that they now own the stars life. Karma isn't something to mess with, these fans need to beware.
Wow!! Great vid and scary how fans think they can play god over celebs, who in turn are just people like us, trying to make a living and enjoy life. Shocking. Thanks for sharing.
These standards and criticisms are wrong on every level. The actors and agencies should stop catering to all the negativity and putting so ridiculous demands on them. They should be able to date, marry, and have a family if they want. And their birth families should not ever be attacked.
Fans' obsession and intrusion are amplified and enabled by social media, which are extremely powerful in China with its huge population. As such, they are also used by those with money to spend for nefarious intentions.
I have always said the netizens are too over-the-top when it comes to celebrities. Shame those in power are doing nothing to prevent these slave contracts and crazy netizens thinking they have any control over another human being. I have watched a lot of dramas and movies from China and Korea. I have seen some where the chemistry was amazing between the leads and some that just made me shake my head. Not once did I think I should go online and trash anyone for a so-so performance. Netizens get a life! You don't own anyone but yourself.
1:53 I absolutely cannot believe what I just heard. I had to stop and write this comment because it was Dylan Freaking Wang in 'Miss The Dragon' that brought me to Chinese Drama at all! I'm a 42yo translator from Brazil and I'm not used to doing fan stuff, but He Di was the one that gave me 'the C-Drama bug' (as I call it). He was just amazing! After I finished Miss The Dragon, I started watching the others and now I'm completely hooked! Didi was the one who fished me from Brazil! I cannot believe you guys found him ugly, I just can't! Doesn't make any sense!
@@tashaonly 🤍 I actually don't care about beauty at all. I just got surprised with people saying he was ugly. ☺ Between Dylan Wang, Tan Jianci and the Korean boy SUGA, these are the most handsome man in the world to me. It might have to do with their personality, tho.
I also watched this drama!!! I was totally pissed about the ending though. They made his character go through so much hell to wait for his one true love and he STILL did not get his happy ending😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@ironiedusort His friend caught their souls and saved them in the same receptacle so they not only could be together but also be reincarnated again. That sounds like a happy ending to me. They not only have love but also great friends.
@@angiecostabr The ml had already waited for the fl to be reincarnated several lifetimes. He waited a long time for her from almost the beginning to the end of the drama. Frankly I felt like I wasted my time watching that drama and I felt the same frustration that the ml felt before the end. It came across like the ml felt that he had been misled into waiting for her. I endured all those episodes FOR NOTHING. Waiting for an ending that did not come. That was not a happy ending for me. That was a waste of my damned time.
It's disgusting, horrible and sad in the same time, how some strangers imagine, they have any right to take control of someone's life! It doesn't matter if they are celebs, idols, neighbours, work mates, what ever, it's kind you try to make a slave of an another human being for yourself‼️ 🤯😵💫🤬
The Entertainment Industry is brutal in the West, too, but this is far worse than what I’d honestly feared. I adore Ester Yu and Dylan Wang, and have heard that they’ve had some difficulties, but they are really lovely souls, so it kinda breaks my heart that they’re in such a toxic environment.. but it really doesn’t surprise me, especially after reading some of the stuff in comments on some YT channels that center around them. So I just pray for everyone to simply Give the Grace they wish to receive from East to West & West to East above and below the limitations of our collective Understanding, so that someday Soon, some Real Magic Happens.. and Peace & Love will Rule Us All, rather than opinions that don’t add anything Positive to the Human Experience.
Woooww…I only recently discovered Cdramas through Kdramas after YEARS of all US shows being crap and went looking for something new. I was surprised and delighted to discover a treasure of fantastic stories, acting, costumes, production, humor and action. I LOVED Tale Of The Nine Tail and both leading actors. After learning Lee Dong Wook was still single at 42, I had my suspicions as to why…. Then next falling in love with Luo Yunxi when I just opened ep 1 of Til The End Of The Moon expecting a brief distraction (boy was I wrong! 😂), and started binge watching it I noticed how thin he was n had my suspicions again as to why. I’ve seen vids of him when he danced ballet & he had a lot more meat on him and looked so much healthier. The rabid obsession and unrealistic expectations, the clinging and feelings of “possession” are a side effect of living in a dualistic society that DEMANDS perfection while also restricting all forms of free creative expression, free speech and the ability to truly LIVE any way you want to be happy. Alllllllll of that intense emotion that is suffocated has to go somewhere n sadly, it explodes all over other people that the depressed and suppressed see as the only joy in their lives. It’s VERY difficult to live your life in 100% strict self-control all the time so you don’t get in trouble, stressful and keeps one in a state of fear and agitated. Any release one can find to let out all their love, joy, excitement or, anger, resentment, even grief is an avenue many will take to cope with their unhappy lives. Having said all of that, they have no right to judge, shame, bully, demand anything from their idols. At the end of the day, no matter what country you live in, every person is a free, sovreign individual entitled to live their own lives however they choose. For the sake of these lovely people I really hope these harmful attitudes change soon. I look at Luo and see the light shining from him like a beautiful star and yet, theres also an auraof sadness around him. His eyes are sooooo magnificient and expressive, I see it there…. It’s like caging a gorgeous angel and clipping its wings so others can enjoy looking at it, not understanding that now it’s true essence and beauty has been destroyed….The most beautiful things in this world MUST be free to be truly appreciated in all their glory. Then the light they shine is blinding! As it should be. I will continue to watch K & C dramas and support my faves however I can with love, respect and appreciation for their talent, hard work and beauty - just as they are.
One question to ask these people is: how would you feel if you had all this intrusion on your life and the choices you made in both your professional and personal life? I know I wouldn’t as such just as long as these celebrities aren’t doing anything illegal I really couldn’t care what they get up to in their personal lives. I would also hope that they had the time and energy to look after themselves. And as to what size they were, just as long as they were happy and it wasn’t detrimental to their health, don’t care. And as to what a person looks like, be proud of where you come from (skin tone) and as to looks, what I find good looking is completely different to what you find good looking, it is all in the eyes of the beholder.
The only thing celebrities should owe their "fans" is a good performance. Who they date(as long as there's no violence physically or mentally or underage or spreading diseases) is no one's business. Just because you date someone and breakup shouldn't mean the end of a career. They are human and should have privacy in a private setting. Not having photos behind a curtain in their homes or hotels. Also, isn't there security at airports? Why are large groups allowed to gather inside and reck havoc?
Like the lady used to say in that infomercial, “STOP THE INSANITY!!!!”🤪. Those so called “fans” definitely need some SERIOUS psychological help … Why can’t they just appreciate and admire the celebrities’ talent and the happiness they bring 🤷🏽♀️???
They are so vicious that I wouldn't call them fans at all. These actors DO deserve some privacy, there are some actors I don't like, but there is no way I'd hunt them down and say vicious things about them. Trying to destroy someone just because they either have a girlfriend or boyfriend or you don't like their performances is NO excuse to treat them the way they do.🤨
As a foreign fan🇿🇼🇿🇼❤, im really disturbed by this. What is wrong with these fans. We have celebrities in my country too and honestly, fans are just normal...there is just so much respect for their celebrities personal lives and im really starting to appreciate it more after viewing this vedio.
It's because in the Chinese entertainment industry the actors and actresses are products and the fans are consumers. The consumer expectations are very high. If a product doesn't satisfy the consumer, he/she will complain and/or just stop buying the product. Besides that, the Chinese government uses the entertainment industry as propaganda. So, nothing that can put a stain on the squeeky clean image of what China stands for, is allowed.
You know, this toxic fan culture reminds me of a cycle of abusive narcissistic relationship: It starts with the "love bombing" phase in which the fan idolizes the celebrity and starts obsessing over them. Then as soon as the celebrity makes the tiniest mistake that reveals they're just human, the fan is "disappointed in them" and starts bashing them with all manner of abusive demeaning words. Finally the fan might discard them altogether. The entitlement and control that are present in abuse are also found in those fans' behavior. Those fan- idol relationships are in fact abusive relationships through and through. And just as you would advise a victim to leave their abuser and set boundaries, so I would advise those celebrities to stop taking sh*t from fans and set boundaries. Stop issuing apologies over every little thing, stop adjusting your behavior to what the "fans" want, date people openly and proudly and be yourself. If they can't accept you, they are not your fan. They only loved the image you projected, not you.
They work very vety hard to bring us the most amazing shows so i have the upmost respect for them and i will alway admire them from a fair but i do live in the uk so i do admire them from afair . Just love my chinese actors ❤
The particular internet culture of China, where rumors spread like wildfire even quicker than with Twitter or other social media elsewhere, does indeed make c-ent a very dangerous profession for those who are not grounded and diplomatic enough, or sufficiently well-connected to fight quickly and efficiently some toxic rabble rousers. The "water army" of anti fans is particularly redoubtable in China. The possessiveness of the obsessive fans (sī shēng 私生) and their crowding their idol whenever they get wind of their agenda is very disturbing. It reminds me sometimes of the Stephen King novel : Misery. And the break-in by a crazy fan who was found standing in the family kitchen of his Bangor home back in the days. Possessive and toxic fans can be found all over the world. Like narcissistic and evil people can be found in every society, not only in entertainment. But fandom is not necessarily made up only of that sort : many reasonable fans support their idol in better ways, and those fans are valued by the stars too, who approve of their organized groups, that have a function. The ones who go fisty-fighting and spewing loud abuse are unreasonable ; those who are abstain from engaging in fan wars that way. Same as in every fandom, be it literary or entertainment. I am on speaking terms with fans of different c-ent "tribes", with whom I click on some views: hailang, yiyuan, yangmao, keluli, lurong, luoshifen, yuanbao, sheng mi, jie mi, baizhou, jiaren ... I do find Fandoms to be a colorful jungle everywhere, with many dangerous beasts and pitfalls, and quite a few venomous snakes and insects, but also nice enthusiasts. The presentation of the particular Chinese c-ent jungle excesses in the video is on point. Just adding that Chen Feiyu's trouble with the leaked photos seems to be over : he is now cast again in upcoming screen work. What is really damning in that sphere is rumors of tax fraud or disrespecting historical taboos. Those who are not carefull about that are really at risk, not only in c-ent. It is particularly acute in China, but can also happen elsewhere : one should always be aware of what is allowable and what isn't. Jewelry is not so big a sin: most entertainers are also models who sport jewelry anyway, even if it is not always as flashy as rappers jewelry. Tatoos are another matter : one girl almost got kicked out of a sports competition because of a small shoulder tattoo, so those who have them should be careful about flaunting them. Z.Tao's makeup and jewelry does not faze me, but I am somewhat concerned about his tattoos, although as a martial artist with faithful backers such as Jackie Chan (Chen Long) who views him as a godson, it may slide. Z.Tao is very gifted as a musician and businessman, and also cares about acting. With his muscles, no one can really accuse him of being very effeminate, and he does not admit to be anything else than straight, promising hailang to invite them when he eventually gets married. Other stars have been acting or shown themselves in weird hair color or outfits, like Liu Yuning or Xu Weizhou: the latter recently announced his marriage, and thanks to rabble rousers we know Liu Yuning had been married and divorced, preferring career to family life. I like all of these's music anyway (yes, including Jackie Chan's!)
Are you kidding me!!! That is a living nightmare! Why should they live their lives by those fans with poor controlling attitudes , baby childish tantrums . And these fans are the ones that don’t look good themselves, or have a mental problem.
Please give the actors and actresses same space to breathe, can't you just let them be themselves 😡😡it's better if they act the way they are than them pretending to be someone who they are not, please don't be controlling has if the actors and actresses lives belongs to you🙏🙏
I think the fans and the government should realize these celebrities are individuals with feelings, too. They do not own them. Just because the fans choose to pay to watch their movies or shows do not make them their personal properties. They’re not puppets.
The fans can't go after the government so celebrities are easy targets government allowed this because it keeps the people's minds somewhere else why also keep celebrities in check.
Why can`t they just leave them alone, and let them live their own lives, Why do they have to be punished in that way, they are only humans ,doing what they love to do.Respekt there privacy, and let them enjoy their lives.
is very scary no respect to the privacy of their idol.if you love your idol you must respect him or her for their privacy so that they can live peaceful us a normal people.......
Dylan Wang has been a victim of envy of other actors' fans fearful his natural good looks would outshine their favorites. He is not a nepo baby and does not have powerful backers or a big publicity machine, so bullies think he is an easy target. They would show photos of him from scenes in Miss The Dragon where he was INTENTIONALLY made to look bedraggled (after fighting with a powerful being) to downgrade his looks. Too bad his handsomeness can't be denied despite numerous digs at his physical appearance. Apparently, the name "Wang Hedi" (Dylan's Chinese name) has become synonymous to "handsome" in China. A photo of a handsome cat with caption of "Wang Hedi of the cat world" garnered close to a million likes in a Chinese social media platform LOL
This is all very sad. I’m in the USA and over 60 yrs old. IMO this is a form of slavery that even fans are enforcing and cyberbullying. Life is hard enough w/o trying to please ppl who claim to care about you.
It's so sad. 😢 I really worry about the amazing young actors out there. I'd hate to see them disappear. It's obvious the obsessed fans don't see them as real people. If you love someone, wouldn't you want them to be happy. I do. I hope things can change. I can't bear the thought of something terrible happening because some fans are so selfish 😮😮
Although I agree that this video reveals a "sad truth", this in no way only applies to China. American celebrities are criticized, scandalized, and hounded in this way also along with many celebrities around the world. Being famous everywhere has its drawbacks. Sadly it's truly weird that fans think they own anyone at all. I just paid over a thousand bucks to see a few celebrities perform in concert, the most I've ever spent to be entertained and the only thing I expect is a good show. Period.
These people do not and I repeat do not realize the dramas are totally fake and when the drama is over with they go back to the real world it is totally ridiculous that the studios and government let's these people try to run the actors lives these people need to be arrested
As an American I'm not sure my opinion counts but I want to add to the conversation and appeal for reason to prevail. Fans across the entire WORLD love Chinese performers very much. There is so much that is good and professionally outstanding. WHY would any Chinese fan want to hurt him/herself or others because of an out-of-control FANTASY about a celebrity? Know yourself first and foremost before anyone fan thinks they can, or should have control over someone else's life. Get Real and Grow Up!
So sad but these are extreme cases that should be avoided and resolved … but these disturbances / violations are indeed unsurprising specially when the celebrity is very popular…. Let’s hope that fans are “educated” to calm their passions of entitlement. If left unchecked, they could end up destroying their idol. Let’s remember, true authentic fans will protect and allow their idols to grow positively as human beings.
Their fans are so jealous of their actors/actresses. They are so critical. No one is perfect, and these stars are human beings who can make mistakes or are imperfect like everyone. Let us know who is perfect? There is their phrase “Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I'll show you someone who has never achieved much.” You!!
What’s wrong with all these people called themselves FANS, they may be actors and actresses but the are human beings. This is insane. If this video is true it is a nightmare. Feels so sorry for them and their family. These actors made their careers with their hard work and talent. Not just by looks or fans.
It's true alright it can be worse than some of the things said here. Asian fans are deranged and not going to talk about the Korean ones. That is one of the reasons why most Asian celebrities get married late especially Korean males.
Honestly whoever made this video definitely has no life, being a fan is totally different from being an absolute obsessed mental being. These celebrities dedicated their life to entertain us the least we could do is stay out of their personal life & let them live normal outside of their workplace. humanity is fading and its sad.
It is definitely tough in China, not only they have to deal with crazy fans but also the Chinese government. Some stuff that are not such a big crime or scandal in the West, it is like death sentence for their careers in China ..
Leave these celebrities alone they give us good movies without them there would be nothing to enjoy watching, People need to stop bad mouthing and judging these awesome celebrities and appreciate them.Celebrities should have the right to love and enjoy there lives they are humans like everyone else.
All I can say is no privacy at all. They're not idolizing them they are obsessed with their idol.. Which is not good.. If you're idolizing your idol then you have to be happy with them no matter what they become.. That's a true fans.. Even when they married or not poor or rich ugly or pretty especially upset and downs.. And especially you need to have an understanding of their lives.. Please think before you act.. Thank you.. Give them space.. It's not easy for them..
Awww! I love Cdrama's and it breaks my heart that the actors/idols have to go through so much crap in China. This is their livelihood, their jobs and it just happens to be their talent. Just appreciate the entertainment and leave them alone. They work extremely hard and have difficult enough lives that the fans should leave them alone on their personal time. THEY DON'T OWE US ANYTHING!! Of course they should and do appreciate their fans but their personal life is their personal life!!!! If you really were a fan, you'd want them to be happy in their personal day to day life. The fact that some fans think celebrities should stay single and unhappy is very disturbing and downright cruel. If the fans really cared, they would be happy for their actor/idols happiness!!!! You are not a fan if you are hurting them and making them suffer. It is pure ugly selfishness to get angry at them for being human and finding love. If you really love your actor/idol then show it by being kind, thoughtful, compassionate and understanding that they are human beings and deserve happiness.
I think its the extremely unrealistic beauty standard. These celebrities look nothing like the population or represent 0.01% of how the population looks like. The beauty standards of a society has to reflect at the very least how the people look and should have variety. For the actors especially the ladies, there's no variety at all. The saddest part is the one actress who actually looks like the population is the one was shamed for being ugly. It is dangerous to have a self hating society.....
How sad that this can happen to these talented people. All they do is bring joy and happiness to their fans and yet these so called " fans" try to destroy their idols. It's like they're "cutting their own nose to spite their face" wake up people! Don't destroy the thing you love.
Most Chinese fans are only after the appearance of the celebrities, they disregard or let say they are not concern whether their favorite celebrities are good in acting or not. And also, some producers advertise/promote their celebrities of their appearance, not the story of the dramas they are working. Not like in other country, even though how old or the actors/actresses are no longer handsome/beautiful they still loved by the viewers/audience. Because of the acting skills and the storyline of the movies/TV series are of quality. So most of their movies are watched and became a blockbusters. Not like in China, the scriptwriters imagination is so limited. The storyline is always husband cheated, divorce, remarried, third party, love story, pregnancy, so on and so forth. Even in costume dramas still the same. Promote quality dramas regardless the cast are popular or not, as long as they can act.😊😊😊😊
I agree with everything you said, that is why I have been saying some of the problems arise from the production company. They only rely on the actor's or actress's popularity, face, family background meaning rich, or who the gold master are. That is why in Cdrama we see the same actors or actresses over and over in every drama some that were named in this video. One of the reasons why Mini Drama is becoming so popular is because people get to see new faces and people who can act. Not trying to blame the actors and actresses but maybe if writers and directors could give lead roles based on acting abilities then how popular, face value, and background just maybe these crazy fans would not have so much power. Some companies go as far as using these fans to destroy a competitor or a star repetition looking at what happened to Zhang Zhehan's career.
It’s extremely sad. They are adults and entitled to have a private life. Yes I love BTS and Jackson Wang. But, I have no crazy ideas in thinking I meet them or they be interested in me. I love them for the artist they are. We don’t really know them as real person. With life being so hard support each other rather, then tear them down.
why are they criticizing this Celebrity. they are also humans. have a feelings to hurts & they became depressed anxiety. stress. because of criticizing they face. body shape.. please them a respectful be respect to the celebrity. you had no rights to give negative criticizing them. be equally to them please. we here in my country. never we critize our celebrity we respect them fully n we never give them negative critics. that is why celebrity here are free & have a freedom we never mock them who ever they looks ugly or fats or thin. or whatever...
To all lunatic fans,if you are true fans you should always support your idol all the way...yes its true becoz of the fans thats why they become famous but dont forget they also work hard...why if didnt work hard do you like them?the answer is no right,so you are even, you like them you love them becoz of their talent why you control their life...mostly their personal life...as for me,whatever dowhatever want my idol i always support him as long he or she is happy,he deserve it coz he work hard...being celebrity is not easy they have a though life so pls for all the lunatic fans, stop mocking your idol...spread love not hate...support them all the way
They suck😡😡😡 for sure, supporting then is not an entitlement to listen to them, the should stop this it's infuriating and annoying . They are humans also and the have emotions and desires aside from there careers.
Look before you leap because may not know if where your leaping to is good or not don’t forget people have their choice over things your not the only person here remember
I feel sad for Chinese Actors and Actresses. The perspective of most fans in China is indescribable. Actors and Actresses are also human beings, they don't deserve to be controlled by their fans, they also have their own lives 😢😢😢
The entertainment industry in Asia need to take some responsibility for this as they are expecting a lot from these celebrities of whom many are under the age of 25, and by making them appear on “game shows”, having them become brand ambassadors, modelling etc. The Asian networks, agents, venues need to ensure the health and wellbeing of these celebrities as they are after all effectively paying their wages by the money that they are earning for them. The Asian press also have a responsibility, allow the celebrity to a private life, if a celebrity wants the public to know something on them they will tell them. Hopefully this in turn will make the so called fans think about their actions. 😐
Hey, Chinese Starlet, aren't you one of those anti-fans? I noticed you've featured that unflattering image of Dylan Wang from Miss The Dragon in another of your videos. Is that the worst image of him? He actually still looks good even though, as somebody else pointed out, he was INTENTIONALLY made to look dishevelled in that scene. Antis of Dylan Wang probably carry that image in their pockets to make them feel good about their favorite actors. But too bad, I heard that Dylan's Chinese name, Wang Hedi, has become synonymous to "handsome" in China. A photo of a handsome cat captioned "Wang Hedi of the cat world" got almost a million likes in a Chinese social media platform, ha ha ha! Anyway, I heard that those who have seen him in person profess he is handsomer in person. And that's because his handsomeness is not only from his outward appearance but also because of his beautiful heart and soul.
Thank you for the update 🥰some of there fans have no say about their lives and can’t tell them what to do, they are adults and as for you’s if have nothing nice to say to these actors and actresses then don’t say nothing at all, hold your tongue and main your own business and keep your nose out of their lives. This is telling me you’s have no respect for them and not thinking what you say is hurting them and going into their homes that is not on, that is so wrong and disgusting and disrespectful 🌷how could you’s do that, I am a fan too but I will not say the things you’s say and they can have a relationship with whoever they choose and love, the same thing for marriage 💜you’s need to look in the mirror and look at yourselves and get a life and leave them alone and let them live their life and be happy 💖you’s wouldn’t like it if everyone started talking about you and telling you what to do and how to live your life and what to wear or marry, relationship and broke into your house and take your things and leave a nasty horrible note about you and your looks, you’s wouldn’t like that at all, so please stop doing this you’s are not getting anywhere with this, just hurting them, no peace, sleepless nights, not thinking about them and there families, there is no love, care, compassion or mercy. Please Heavenly Father can you please stop all this and that they come to their senses and stop bad mouthing these actors and actresses and to not enter into their homes without permission and to let them live their lives and have peace within their hearts and minds and household and for them to examine themselves and to humble themselves 💙thank you Heavenly Father 😇in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen 🙏God bless you’s all and your beautiful families 🙏❤🤍💜🤎💛💕😍😎🌹
What kind of fans are they they don't have the right to interfere the life of their idol they want to manipulate the life of Thier idol what kind of people are they are they possessive? Those actors and actresses are human being they are not toys if you want to play they must follow you what kind of fans are you?you don't love them why don't you let them to live Thier own life they are not yours yes yyouspent a lot of money for them but they are not forcing you to watch their movies or commercial item they promote you are the one who like it oh my goodness what kind of fans are you ?
Actor or actress comes with pros and cons, unfortunately they live in a certain country which has stricter rules and also unfortunate that’s the culture of the people who supports them wholeheartedly. Yes it comes with a huge price but on the other hand I am sure they know what is expected of them before they sign their life away in the world of FAME . In other word leave the entertainment world once you are ready to settle down cause only then you will find peace and freedom 😊
They are survivors of this world, trying to survive in every way. I respect them and love them. I really am crying after watching this. I am praying that those anti-fans, those bad fans and bad people who hurt them got their karma 100 thousand times back, so it is.😤😏
Being a fan means to support the person you admire. And support means to see them also as human beings. Every man and every woman has the right to live a private life. The more happiness there is in privacy, the more willing to show a perfect performance there will be. Let us cherish them , we should not put them under pressure.Enough of them are already cracked.
When news breaks that a celebrity is overwhelmed with stress and depression and is no longer with us, fans are often surprised. I believe every person is human and deserves happiness. Fans often buy into an image crafted by agencies or companies, not the actual person. I'm not sure, but I only look up to God because everyone is human. Some people go too far without realizing this. I have a friend who is obsessed with a celebrity; she's married with children, yet she insists the celebrity must stay single, which seems unrealistic to me. The pressure placed on celebrities is indeed extreme.
Everyone has right especially with privacy. It is called “privacy “ for a reason stop being judges for these innocent people if you your self can’t be the way you imagine why pushing it on others .if you what then to be like that you stand and be an example.duh. The are just human too you know. So I what you to do something just stop what your doing and thing
If fans aren’t contributing to celebrity’s having a good, loving happy life then they aren’t fans. Being a fan and not seeing it’s a give and take situation with celebrities. Meaning they give good performances, lots of extra experiences for the fans and fans should realize they are getting exactly what they should and don’t deserve more or to be personal with their favorite celebrities. It’s rather deranged to think otherwise and down right wrong and mean to interfere in their personal and daily lives. It seems that there are no true fans out there. How horrible of a person you must be to try and destroy someone’s career and life and not allow them love.
This is sooooooo sad! It's too bad that so many people care about what other people think. I would imagine that many of the Chinese civilians are paid to create different situations because there are so many poor people who will do anything for money so that they can survive. Hopefully the celebrities will become strong enough to learn not to care what others think and live a life that they choose to live. Good luck everyone.
To the person who said ''He owes us for supporting him, the least he could do is stay single''. He didn't ask for any of this support and why do some ''fans'' feel entitled to celebs' love life. LEVE THEM ALONE JEEZ!! This is sickening smh.
They are so wicked I hate those fans who thinks those celebrities own them anything
They are just expecting something they cannot do
Fans are too entitled in China! To treat celebrities like this are horrible. Look what happened to Princess Diana, just replace the paparazzi with fans.😢😭😱😱
That's why I love my country alway them to live their life do you want them to be single till they die this Chinese fans should go and get a life and stop putting their nose in someone's business
Toxic fans
Well, they are wrong. This is their job, and they provide a service. It's not like these people do not provide services...these people are cray cray!
These "fans" need to get lives of their own. These celebrities are REAL PEOPLE. Those expectations are unreal, unhealthy and overwhelming.
Please celebrities need their me time as any human being
Exactly they’re extremely obsessed psycho 😢 why don’t they want their idol to be happy
My heart breaks for them! Leave them alone. Let the celebrities decide what to share or not share! To follow them this closely is insane!
This is a clear picture of imbalance between what celebrities are giving and what fans unrealistically demand from them.
I agree
Sociopathic fans are a global problem. When Donny Osmond got married, the same hate happened in the U. S.
Give the actors and actresses a break. They are also humans like us.
Obsession is a scary scary monster, especially in a mob of like minded people.
You said it all, they are crazy.
I don't believe these so-called 'fans' would like their lives controlled like that - double-standards!
Agree I would call them psychopaths! Its criminal!
Why. They don't take any serous action towards them
from what I listened to, the government does not condemn the fans, but the actors.
I't in USA.
The citizens are used to a life that is "regulated" so it is carried over to supporting their idols
Lots of people in the world with mental health problems 🤔
@@marciaomattos Estoy de acuerdo. es tan extraño.
Agree
Youngsters who do web bullying should be responsible for their own behaviours and stop blaming their terrible behaviours on others.
@@tian5852 you would be surprised how many people in their 30s and 40s are in my fandom...

As a westerner, and even a fan of many Asian celebrities, I find myself feeling overwhelmed by the expectations of some of my fellow
fan mates...I have never publicly commented on so many fan related things in my life. Some fans will kill a career over a PERCEIVED slight only to then find out they were wrong...but even if it was true, LEAVE THE FANDOM, why try to KILL SOMEONE (figuratively AND literally, in some cases)!
Like the people who use anti-black fans to destroy Zhang Zhehan.
moral of the story - live your life, breathe and do what makes you happy. No one else has to live your life but you. You can just exist and someone somewhere will have an issue with it. Enjoy doing what you want.
I was first blown over by Dylan Wang as the Dragon King in Miss the Dragon. He was so impressive and handsome.
In the West we say, what goes around, comes around.
No worries, he is "beautiful" now. They mob him now. It's all in their heads.
I swear that if i get my hands on one of the so called fans i will get them a piece of my mind. ACTORS AND ACTRESSES ARE HUMAN BEINGS TOO
Like the lady used to say in that infomercial, “STOP THE INSANITY!!!!”🤪. Those so called “fans” definitely need some SERIOUS psychological help …
Why can’t they just appreciate and admire the celebrities’ talent and the happiness they bring 🤷🏽♀️???
It’s quiet scary how fanatical these fans are . They can not distinguish what reality and fantasy when it comes to these stars.
Star fandom is fairly new in China , fans gone over board, celebrities became their life god and goddess .
I don’t think they know what’s love means 😂😂
Everyone is beautiful, physically. Everyone who has kindness and compassion, and doesn't judge others, harm others, are beautiful.
This was so disturbing to hear these actors and actresses work so hard...they really don't deserve all this criticism,so sad.😢
I'm sorry for these actors and actresses. They deserve to enjoy their own lives as others. It is so unfair that they have to suffer like this😢
Although I agree that this video reveals a "sad truth", this in no way only applies to China.
As long as celebrities continue to change normal weight, looks, and behaviour fans will continue to rule-I think it’s really sad
South korea has the similar and even more serious issue..how many young actress and actors committed suicide???
Honestly whoever made this video definitely has no life, being a fan is totally different from being an absolute obsessed mental being. These celebrities dedicated their life to entertain us the least we could do is stay out of their personal life & let them live normal outside of their workplace. humanity is fading and its sad.
@@nellypimper6992 Hey! I suffer from loneliness and frustrations but I still know what respect is, I am not a psychotic
😳😱 😢😢the is so sad. Thanks for your information. 😊 take care
It is definitely tough in China, not only they have to deal with crazy fans but also the Chinese government. Some stuff that are not such a big crime or scandal in the West, it is like death sentence for their careers in China ..
Let these people live their lives.
Useless place..... this is not only violation of privacy.... it's clearly violation of HUMAN RIGHTS....
WORST PLACE.😠
Darn this is so sad.My theory the people behind this celebrity is taking advantage the psychology of crazy fans. The contracts show it all!
It’s extremely sad. They are adults and entitled to have a private life. Yes I love BTS and Jackson Wang. But, I have no crazy ideas in thinking I meet them or they be interested in me. I love them for the artist they are. We don’t really know them as real person. With life being so hard support each other rather, then tear them down.
why are they criticizing this Celebrity. they are also humans. have a feelings to hurts & they became depressed anxiety. stress. because of criticizing they face. body shape.. please them a respectful be respect to the celebrity. you had no rights to give negative criticizing them. be equally to them please. we here in my country. never we critize our celebrity we respect them fully n
we never give them negative critics. that is why celebrity here are free & have a freedom we never mock them who ever they looks ugly or fats or thin. or whatever...
To all lunatic fans,if you are true fans you should always support your idol all the way...yes its true becoz of the fans thats why they become famous but dont forget they also work hard...why if didnt work hard do you like them?the answer is no right,so you are even, you like them you love them becoz of their talent why you control their life...mostly their personal life...as for me,whatever dowhatever want my idol i always support him as long he or she is happy,he deserve it coz he work hard...being celebrity is not easy they have a though life so pls for all the lunatic fans, stop mocking your idol...spread love not hate...support them all the way
Fans have no right nor say over celebrate’s lives.
They suck😡😡😡 for sure, supporting then is not an entitlement to listen to them, the should stop this it's infuriating and annoying . They are humans also and the have emotions and desires aside from there careers.
They have a SAY……sick,sick,sick,sick,sick,sick,sick,sick,sick……..
It is more worse than this video.
Thank you! It was really informative! You have a such beautiful voice! I am your fan! But are you AI or a real person?!
They should be grateful their celebrities even exist... all the best to the people that dare to follow their dream and make a living...
So being a celebrity in China has the worst work hazard called crazy fanatic or fans!
