So basically what you are saying is the entertainment industry in China is just the same as it is in every other country including western ones. Unfortunately it’s always been a sleazy industry.
I feel the Asian entertainment industry is more destructive than the western ones. If you say or do something wrong, the netizens can destroy your career in a second. Asian celebrities are held to the highest standards in social media whereas western entertainment is a little more forgiving.
Yes. Just some are more sleazy than others. The SK is sleaziest of all in the s** for favors department. Maybe India can top that. The behavior of fans drives the behavior of the industry too.
Animals, particularly horses in historical dramas, are also often exploited. The most common technique, in Chinese dramas as in the rest of the world, is to leave them without eating in order to make them obedient because they are rewarded with food.
I enjoy C dramas, but wow, the fan group thing is just ridiculous. I like dramas and music. I appreciate talent of the performers, but I have no intention of ever worshiping them as deities. How odd, fan people!! Think for yourselves! Performers are just people with various talents. Not your leaders, commanders, or gods, you don't even know these people! This is so sad. I dont think the actual performers have all this control you imply. Entertainment is big industry and performances/performers are products and they are used as such
