To all the ladies out there: let men speak freely. The more they talk, the more they reveal their true nature, often hidden beneath the surface, leaving little room for misplaced hope. It’s wise advice that could protect you from disappointment. And remember, adopt a dog-they are far more loyal, protective, and faithful than most men
Men are deceptive, saying whatever it takes to impress or manipulate just to gain attention on a date, hiding their true intentions beneath a charming facade, but once they’re in especially after marriage , their true colors-often deceptive and self-centered-start to show, leaving partners feeling trapped and disillusioned.

Exactly. When it comes to korean celebs, I like looking at their faces and that's it. Because there are too many instances of misogyny within the society that it's hard for me to believe that most of them do not think this way as well. When i see people say "my fav could never" or "he raised the standard" i felt like laughing because those celebs are most probably performing for the camera.
@@mabuixa If one has life experience and knowledge of human nature, it should not be a problem to recognize “The red Flag”. A healthy distrust is also important. If men over the age of 35 are neither married nor have a girlfriend, there may be reasons for this. If he has had various girlfriends up to this age and the relationship has never lasted long, absolute caution is advised. Men over 40 OR 40+ are difficult. Either in character or simply too old. When I was 27, I would never have married a man who was 40 or over 40+. That would be an age difference of over 10 years. It goes in the direction of “sugar daddy” and I don't like that. Besides, I don't have a father complex that would make me want to marry an old man. Their attitude to life, tastes and circle of friends are completely different. If there is such a big age difference, the husband or sugar daddy won't like it if the wife has a circle of friends. He sees competition or danger in EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. This is not a marriage but rather a hell. The wives are not allowed to have friends and hobbies either, they only have to look after sugar daddy. Just thinking about it makes me depressed. That's why depression and suicides are so common in SK.

This does not surprise me as it is expected of an average Korean man with a typical patriarchal perspective. But what baffles me is that they have the confidence to say such remarks in a public space where they know that they have considerable influence. I'd like to believe that k-dramas are just fantasy and it would be lucky to come across such men in real life that too in a country like South Korea
They have such confidence because their society and the law backs them up. They feel entitled and the patriarchal hierarchical structure allows it. The Koreans have a particular hatred for women.

In a society , where women are criticsed and degraded or humiliated for going beyond tradional roles , for a successful man easily stating his mysogynist instance as preference shows his man's priviledge and mindset. First perosnal preferences can be criticised . If personal preference supporting conservative and sexist attitude then , it will recieve criticism ..criticising also a personal preference . Second seeing woman fit for tradtional role is supporting the patrirachal mindset ..

The significance a woman plays in raising her children has been downplayed. Children raised in a 2 parent household, where one stays home & cares for the children, are more stable & successful in life. Kids raised by single moms are less successful & more likely to get into crime. Do some research!! Kids raised in 2 parent families will do better in life!

So disappointed to see people defending Park Seo Joon's statements. Yoo Yeon Suk has crossed some boundaries here. It's not respectful to judge someone based on what they wear or to think a woman's clothing shows her feelings. This is actually a red flag because it reduces a person to their appearance instead of seeing them as a whole. If he keeps expressing these views, oh dear... you might want to think about whether you want to continue engaging with him... wow... also it feels like, his partner would be obligated to wear sexy clothes, even if she doesn't feel to and be sexy all the time. Not happens in Thailand. In Asia we rank second after Singapore for the numbers of female in high ranking positions. And we are open to genders of choices. LGBTQ can become Professor or teachers. The worst thing is, that the Korean/Asian culture itself creates bodyshaming beauty standards. It's not changing, everything they compliment each other for is loosing weight, getting something done on their body, making money and other things like that. As much as i love asian countries, especially Korea, most of them don't respect each other for being themselves the way they are. They prefer people to look unnatural perfect. For many women their career matters to them, if he wants his partner to be family oriented then he should get a girl who doesn't work why to ruin some woman's career? It's pathetic really.
But why it has to be women always ? Its good to have an idea about the upbringing of your children but prefixing specific gender roles for that , uhmm NO !
There’s some translation errors and miscommunication. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a traditional household where the man is the breadwinner and the woman is a house maker and stay at home mom. Also Park Seojun didn’t say that only the wife should raise kids; it’s common for celebrities to have their kids raised by nannies and there’s nothing wrong with wanting his kids to be raised by their own mother, it’s also very beneficial for the infant and baby to spend as much time with their mother . and he didn’t say that ALL kids who grow up without a mother become problematic adults. He said it’s more beneficial for kids to be raised with a mom and that kids need their mom. And it is true that kids who don’t have a stable home life where they aren’t loved or taught how to be good people are more likely to make bad decisions and get in trouble.
There’s nothing wrong about what he said. He’s ideal type is from old school. I am sure there are a lot of old school types and I know I am one of them. It sounds like there’s no freedom of speech in Kdrama when it comes to actors and actresses.

That's agreeable, but then he should be willing to stay home raising children if the wife wants to advance with her career. Isn't the argument that one side of the parents should stay with children to raise the children well? If he is willing to give up his career for children, then I'm all for it.
if he wants his childre raised by their mother, and if the wife is okay with it, what is the problem? even i myself wants to be a housewife. what is wrong being a housewife?

There's nothing wrong if a woman chooses to be a homemaker, although it's a risky plan, but at the end of the day, it's her call. But everything is wrong when a man wants their wives to be housewives, and it's not like he would choose a woman of similar mentality, but instead marry a woman he likes, and make them quit their career by blackmailing them.
People are products of their society and personal upbringing. They say what is ingrained in their psyche. If they have other societal cues to see women in a favorable light then they will change those opinions as they develop into adults. If that society is lacking those cues, well what you see is this type of behavior. It is not unique to Korea. It is worldwide misogyny and myopic views that they are expressing. Women are guilty of expressing hateful, body shaming comments also. Each one teach one.

Lots of Asia has had this mindset for a long time. I didn’t grow up in that culture. It’s easy to judge as an outsider, but we should recognize that there are cultural differences that play a role.
Not happens in Thailand. In Asia we rank second after Singapore for the numbers of female in high ranking positions. And we are open to genders of choices. LGBTQ can become Professor or teachers. Any career. I've heard from a LGBT Taiwanese professor who teaches Chinese in a University in Thailand that he can't open his gender preferences in Taiwan, otherwise he might lose his job. That's why he chooses to live in Thailand.
That culture is called ‘patriarchy' 🤷♀️
Quitting your job is way more dangerous, risky and harder for women's life. What if he cheats or abuse her, she'll have no income to escape from him, while he always have money for himself and control all the money, he can financially abuse her too.
I don’t know why people are surprised by this? Just because these men are actors/celebrities it does not mean they are well educated. It is clear that they have had their ego’s stroked for far too long which is why they think they can get away with this kind of ignorance.

"Physical appearance shouldn't be the ultimate measure of a person's worth or attraction. Beauty, by societal standards, is fleeting and ephemeral. It's a transient quality that inevitably fades with time, succumbing to the ravages of aging and the inevitability of mortality. Regardless of how well we take care of ourselves, our physical allure will eventually wane. 👏👏👏👏👏
As an At home mom, Park Seo Joon isn't wrong. Families tend to function better with 1 parent actively home full.time. no hate for that preference

@April98-ju4ib fr
@April98-ju4ibyou do realize that many women are actually okay with it right? Like there are women who want to be stay at home wives and are obsessed with being skinny too? It’s only wrong if they marry someone whose wants and needs don’t align with theirs and force them to do theirs. Everyone has their personal preference. Some women want a tall and muscular looking man with a fat bank account and some don’t care for such. It’s personal preference

Scary.
As a die hard feminist - I find the comments section intolerant and reeking of lack of awareness. I believe it is ok if a man wants a stay at home wife - who shares the same dream and values. It is a problem only if there is a difference in their understanding of an ideal marriage. I have highly qualified friends who have chosen to stay at home. They are happy, their family life is great and their children are now successful, happy and incredibly well-behaved.

Everyone have to understand that they have their own ideal type like us and we don't have to be disappointed because less or more, men want to see her woman like a housewife.
I think comment section doesn't understand the difference between having personal preferences and keeping them personal and making remarks that are problematic. Well nobody should care about their remarks but don't we all know the amount of impact celebs have on normal public !? If celebs who're like idols to many teens and adults think it's okay to bodyshame, it's perfectly fine to have a chat room filled with n@ked deepfakes of women celebs-idols , being anti-feminist because it annoys them and using every possible chance to put down a woman by any means etc. because their fav celebs are doing so... People are not being 'sensitive' , they're calling out sh!ts that stink . Just because some guys are so so pretty and appears to be smart doesn't mean they can do no wrong. Nothing wrong with Park Seo Joon wanting a traditional wife , he could say that he wants a traditional wife that's it , many women also want to be traditional wives but nope stretching it further with remarks like "women should do this and that ..." Well who's he to dictate on how a woman should live? And yes if parenting is right , children of working parents grow up really nice , if parenting is wrong wheather it's a traditional household or working parents household, the children are going to be brats anyway. Read about women's conditions in SK and you'll probably understand why these remarks are just not 'jokes' or mere 'preferences' , well you might understand, idk.
Well put and well explained as to what's wrong, what's ok and what's not ok, and about if it is ok or not why, what's the reason behind it to be ok or not. Really well said .

@@victoryv116 Just because it can, doesn't mean it should be. Women have the right to choose their career over family, the same as men have the right to choose who they want for a wife. Why is that are problem? Park Seo Joon didn't force anyone to be a housewife. He is looking for a partner who will be a housewife. If his partner doesn't want to be a housewife he will go ahead with someone who wants to. Why is everyone taking what he said in a negative light?A man wanting a housewife is misogynistic but a woman choosing to a be a housewife to a person who wants a housewife is not? He has a right to his choices, the same as women have the right to theirs
dont justify conservative attitude and sexist attitude in name of choice - he is reinforcing the same tradtional roles for women which treated women as second class citizen or worse than humans ..if your choice is to be mysogynist then you better be recieve criticism for it ..after all criticisng inetllectually is also somebody's choice

Thats one of the dark sides. But on the other hand, we all have different pteferences but when someone is saying it out loud, it gets controversal. So, what is right or wrong is not that easy, i think growing up in this culture makes it hard to really be yourself 😢
That’s absolutely Seo Joon’s right to want that kind of thing especially from someone he plans on spending the rest of his life with. If a woman hears that a man wants a loving wife and stay at home mom to raise the family that shouldn’t be some kind of controversial take, if you want to go be a girl boss and not have that kind of family life that’s your choice but don’t judge others for their choices.
It Isnt Want He Wants In A Partner Thats The Problem. It's The Other Statements Thats The Issue. Like Assuming That A Working Mom Cant Raise Kids Correctly.
In my country park seojun opinion is normal and he would be treated as most ideal men gentleman. Its not misogynistic completely also he said he takes care of wife eveb being unemployed. Which men does this today ! So j dont think hes misogynistic he is manly men
Wow wow truly shows how women don't support women! Truly sickening this is your Korean oppa huh? Disgusting of you defending his misogynistic statement . That's why I always say there will be no equality when women have this kind of sh*t mentality and they defend men on Disgusting things
I think it's a beautiful thing for a woman to stay at home and dedicate herself to raising kids. But why do so many of the men who demand for this also go around sleeping with young single women? That's the obnoxius part. If they stayed true to their wives then I don't see anything wrong with this set up.
Park seo jun is not wrong.... If one is having a good way of making money so wife dont have to work... Its good that husband is working for his family and wife is taking care of the family... If both parents work then children are indeed spoiled coz no one's there there to correct their mistakes and taking care of them
For many women their career matters to them, if he wants his partner to be family oriented then he should get a girl who doesn't work why to ruin some woman's career?
