    Too cute. It would also make a nice lidded pot.

    Very lovely. btw, Harry's Alabama kin have given me some beautiful driftwood in the mill pond. I can't wait to turn it.

      Harry did say he's got an uncle in Alabama. I believe his name was Swampy Beaver.

    Nice shape. The mineral oil / beeswax can really cut down on sanding dust if you dip sandpaper in it before sanding.

    • @HodgePodgeWoodWorks
      @HodgePodgeWoodWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks George! I never thought of using that while sanding. I could of used some abrasive paste but skipped out on that on this one.

    What ratio beeswax to Mineral Oil do you use? And just buff it off after? Looks great, wish we had craft fairs here!

    • @HodgePodgeWoodWorks
      @HodgePodgeWoodWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly I don't remember! I was taught this mixture during the first ever class I took with a woodturning club member. I'll have to try and scrounge around. You basically just apply it and then buff it in and try to develop some heat to help the wax melt more and absorb in the wood a bit.

    How do you mix the mineral oil and bees wax together

    • @HodgePodgeWoodWorks
      @HodgePodgeWoodWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      What I recall doing was setting up a pan over a heat source and melting some of the beeswax then add some mineral oil. I don't recall the exact ratios but in the end once it cools it was the consistency of room temperature coconut oil I'd say.

    The project is great... However the Safety First shirt points out a potential hazard for a serious injury. Promoting the wearing of a ring while turning is not a good practice. It is quite easy to have a catch on that ring
