Robert, Thank you so much for the beautiful work. My Dad became a very big fan of yours and watching your videos was one of his and I's favorite pastimes together. Yours and Harry's humor was right in line with my Dad's, and he was always astonished by your craftsmanship and skill. He always wished he had the opportunity to get a lathe and have his own wood shop. Sadly he never had the opportunity, but lived vicariously watching wood turning videos like yours online. Myself and the family love all the pieces you have made for us, and we look forward to receiving the urns. It looks incredible, and we are honored and excited that my Dad will be at rest in such a beautiful work of art. Thank you! - Jeremy and family
I’ve been turning for a few years now..Channels just like this one helped me with technique and inspiration It truly warms my heart that your making such an important vessel for someone who also appreciated your work and vision. What an honor. My hats off to you sir. And to Michaels family, my your father/friend rest in peace. I’ll say a prayer for you.
Great job and an honour to do this type of commission work. I noticed you use the metallic duct tape. Is this better at stopping leaks then regular duct tape? Last time I used regular duct tape and it leaked alot. Thanks Michael
Enjoyed your video and the finished product. Two questions, where did you get the ring for the lid and what kind of tape did you use containing the resin ? I'm in the process of making an urn myself. Again beautiful work. Thanks Bruce
The ring I got was from Niles Bottle stoppers and the tape I used was just regular aluminum foil tape used for AC duct work. I heard from another turner that it works for resin and turns out it works pretty good!

A truly gorgeous piece. What an honor to be asked to make.
May I ask where you found the threaded rings for the closure?
Thanks, I did feel honored. The threaded inserts I used were from Niles.

Awesome way to show love and respect for someone.
A beautiful tribute.
Beautiful urn Robert.
What a beautiful piece great engraving too
It's a nice one. Interesting the way you fitted the screw threads. I normally have the projecting threads on the lid. Either way works.
Very nice, Robert! It came out beautifully and I'm sure the family loves it!
Very nice.
Great urn, Robert 👍👍👍👍
Well done sir!
It is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Very beautiful
Very nicely done
Beautiful Urn Robert he would be 👏 😢
That was some very nice work! How do you determine the volume for an urn? You certainly wouldn't want to make it too small. Thanks for sharing.

Where can you buy the brass opening screw top from? Good job!
Thanks I got the threaded pieces from Carl Jacobson at Niles Bottle Stoppers.
Where did you get the brass piece for the lid joining?
I got these from Carl Jocobson at Niles bottle stoppers.
La marcación con la fecha está bonito pero le faltó agregar un grabado bien bonito en homenaje
Robert what tools and lathe do you use?
