The good news for you anglos is that Russian word order is like English; while it is true that Russian is much more inflected than English and so can be much more flexible in its word-order , outside of poetic or literary contexts its pretty much going to be like in English.
(unlike Chinese. Or German).

In any case, putting object before subject and verb usually sounds unusual as in the case with "Меня слушаешь ты?" - Me-object hear you-subject?
