- I bought a relatively cheap Windows Celeron N4000 tablet with dock, and put chrome OS on it using the brunch framework.

Device model : Lenovo Ideapad D330
Here are the current problems with this setup.
PROBLEM 1: auto-rotation does not work.
WORKAROUND 1: just left the tablet display orientation on 0 degrees permanently, so that it sticks to landscape all the time, except if certain android apps need to force portrait, but then returns to landscape once that app closes.
PROBLEM 2: bluetooth is not working correctly. some devices are detected and others not. even when connected to the devices it does detect, only volume instructions seem to pass, and no audio. Also, smart detect won't work because of this.
WORKAROUND 2: None. :disappointed:. Have to live and hope that something comes along to fix it in the future
PROBLEM 3: when booting without having a keyboard connected at boot, the virtual keyboard does not come up to be able to login to the device.
WORKAROUND 3: Have to place the tablet in the keyboard dock, and type in the password. Very painful, especially if I am not carrying the device around with its keyboard
PROBLEM 4: when the device goes to sleep, it is not possible to wake it up again without a hard reboot.
WORKAROUND 4: None. Reboot the device every time after it sleeps. Painful :disappointed: - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี

Nice! this is really cool. This looks like a good way to extend the life of an old laptop.
Hopefully the bugs get sorted soon.
This is awesome! I want to do it this on my Hawei Tablet but i guess i will have to wait a bit longer until the OS is more stable and works well.
That's so cool. That's the thing with these windows hybrids. You can create whatever hybrid you want. Hackintosh hybrids, Chromebook hybrid, or even an Android tablet with Android-x86.

Hi please I need help to install chrome os on a lenovo ideapad d330 tablet since it has windows 10, it has an intel n4020 celeron processor and I tried with the versions of chrome os rammus and samus.
when I flashed the pendrive using rufus and I wanted to install the operating system in the rammus and samus version, neither of them worked for me, the screen threw lines at me and nothing could be distinguished

Hi, I did similar yesterday with a Chuwi hi10x, the sound is not detected but everything else works ok with minimal configuration. But I find it much better running Linux Fedora distro works everything out of the box
What version did you use, "home" or "rammus"?

Do you have a video tutorial on the installation of chrome os on that laptop? We have the same laptop by the way, i tried installing blissOS, Prime OS, etc. But the display looks like a broken screen and I cannot proceed with its installation
It should be the same on all devices, burn the iso to a USB. Enter bios from the device by pressing del key or F12, go into boot options and select boot from USB
If you get screen issues the usual way to fix it is installing the latest kernel for the system. Before it is installed you may need to work with it upside down and without touch, but with latest kernel the drivers should work

I tried Chrome OS Flex but my touch screen doesn't work. So far I love the speed of Chrome OS Flex

I am currently trying to do this with my Lenovo Miix 320. Fingers crossed it works. Windows is quite sluggish on this thing.

Still after numerous updates the most bugs still not sorted. Power and volume buttons don't work.......can't use it as a daily driver

No. It won't work on Android based tablets. Unless you referring to Samsung's Windows tablets, which in theory it should work, but I haven't tried. Too expensive to buy one to try
