Add to turn order. There is a button to show additional infos on units on screen. I think its y when not targeting anything. It shows enemy info you can also see when hovering over a unit but you see it on everyone. Hp, tp, turn order number. Bit busy on the screen but very helpful for planning
Thanks for the upload, I’m not a total newbie but I bet it’s gonna come in handy. For anyone who wants to start with strategy games but feels overwhelmed I’d really suggest something simpler and “flashier” like Mario+Rabbids (absolute masterpiece, underrated - but really entry level) or Fire Emblem 3 Houses (believe it or not, i know of people who had troubles with normal difficulty: there’s no shame on playing it on easy if you’re having a bad time). Most importantly, have fun. You don’t need to study guides and manuals online to optimize your runs. More people need to join us!
Great advice! I would add that a couple great starters for the strategy genre would be Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (and also its sequel on the DS). These may not be as accessible as the titles you mentioned because they’re older titles with no remasters on current consoles to speak of, but they’re terrific watered-down (in a good way) versions of the original Final Fantasy Tactics, which is what helped shape the genre and eventually bring us this great game, Triangle. Loving this game so far and thanks OP for the video.
@@mklptrk not a huge fan of the series personally 😅 and I think Triangle Strategy is more of a Tactics Ogre spiritual sequel. But guess the Final Fantasy brand is what really made that game so widely recognized and yeah, there’s some charm to it and it’s pretty grindy, which can be a pro if you’re new to genre. Fell Seal is ugly to look at, but it shares A LOT with ff tactics, also better maps and quality of life improvements. Disgaea is another solid choice for a beginner who wants the isometric style. The first one got remastered, and oh, the original front mission is getting a remaster as well! It’s a good time to be alive for srpg fans! I only wish someone could start again with the king’s bounty/homm-like games again, I reeeally miss those, and I would recommend the original king’s bounty if it wasn’t so old!
Thanks for a video on Triangle Strategy, great to hear from you! But have you figured out, why is the follow-up attack not possible at 12:33? Is this some glitch or am I missing a game mechanics?
It has to do with the direction of the attack. From Hughette's current position, you can see that the game has her facing North in order to attack. However, her ally is East of the enemy. Only directional pairs [North/South, East/West] can follow up attack.
Tip 1. Have the patience to wade through 30 cut scenes with their attendant loading delays and mediocre plot and character development - to actually get to a battle.

Observing turn order is made even easier by going to a unit-free tile and pressing 'Y'.
