What Weapon Skills are Worth Unlocking? Triangle Strategy

- In this video I go over all 30 weapon skills, which are good and worth unlocking, and which are not worth unlocking.
Luckily most of the abilities are good and worth running, while some are optional. A few are outright not worth it.

As Pirate Radio has pointed out, Sunfall is worth getting for the Radius, using a turn accelerator is great with it.
Cordelia overheal can be spammed when using Cordelia optimally allowing you to overheal units to absurd HP. So it is worth getting.
I've played this game way too much too, and i find myself agreeing with you on almost everything you say in your videos. In this one, pretty much the only thing i definitely don't agree on is Decimals Target [HP_7]. I played Decimal a lot, he has been really really good on my hardmode no items, no quietus, no accessories runs, whenever hp7 comes up its most of the times only on one, rarely on more targets and does mediocre damage, when you could just instead hit a higher number of units with his other 4 damaging abilities and apply stat changes or just have a 10% chance to instakill targets.
In short, even if 7 comes up, the other abilities usually have more targets, hit harder, cost less and have a better effect. don't bother with our friends weapon skill.

Love this video, you actually helped me decide whether to get a bunch of abilities in my first play through or wait for new game plus. My only disagreement - I think you have slightly underrated Ezana’s ability. Even though it’s accuracy is low, the ability to hit everyone on the map, and have a fairly good chance to paralyze them, is nothing to scoff at. And on the occasions when you do hit more than a few guys, it can turn the tide of a fight.
One point I'd like to make about Frederica's Sunfall - if you cast it around Erador right after he uses King's Shield, you usually hit at least 3 enemies. Requires some planning, but I've used this to great effect. At least on normal difficulty.

Underrating Sunfall and Above and Beyond otherwise I agree. Most all of them are good. Your argument about using two spells instead of Sunfall only holds water if the enemies you are trying to Aoe all fit within the cross shape of scorch. Sunfall’s damage and radius make it worth the charge time. Travis’s attack doesn’t do nearly as much damage but can be ok in the right scenario’s. It’s definitely not a must have. Above and Beyond is basically mandatory on Cordelia. If you manage her well she should have a lot of extra tp and using it is always good especially bc it stacks unlike Geela rez.
The casting 2 spells thing is a reference to a batteried Corentin using Glacial Moon twice. Or just using Glacial Moon at 5 TP -> 1 tp, Tp on ice -> 3 tp Icy Coffin Combo without battery.
Interesting point about Above and Beyond overhealing to absurd levels, but what is the use case? Getting her 4 TP to constantly overheal is great on some maps for sure, if slow pushing I can see it being good.
Is the argument for Sunfall that the damage it can put out worth the charged turn? Burst damage is good, I am assuming you use a turn accelerator though as otherwise its a prediction game?
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Sunfall in clear skies does similar damage to 2x Glacial Moon for 3 less tp overall. Regardless though I tend to use both of them together on the same group of enemies so there’s no real reason to compare them that stringently. Sunfall, Glacial Moon and High Jump together means mobs get vaporized pretty quickly. Above and Beyond basically makes her useful even if everyone is at full hp. That and regen. Most healers aren’t good in this scenario. Geela does have rez but once everyone who needs it has it she has the same issue. Giving more hp to front liners is never a bad thing. Why settle for 800 hp when you can have 1200. Basically in the scenario where Geela eventually doesn’t have much to do, she can still keep overhealing.
That and bc Cordelia is much better with tp than Geela she can use her ult more often than Geela does. It adds up over time.

You can use a turn accelerator with Sunfall but you can use without one. Basically if you know a mob isn’t going to move usually bc of them being taunted or just fighting with your melee units you can safely use it even without using Now type skills on her. And yes Sunfalls damage in clear skies ~ 550 bp and huge radius does make it worth the extra effort to use it. Also the 6 range as Freddie can only reach out to 4 range otherwise.

No, it just consumes 10 healing pellets and does not trigger TP Physick.
Is this PC game or what? Looks like fun...
Nintendo Switch but if it gets the same treatment as Octopath it may come out on PC later
