    You actually get enough medals to promote all units to Veteran status by playing the game. The issue will come with the Medals to promote to the Elite class, those you will definitely have to pick and choose very carefully.

    Correction...
    Lionel, Hossabara, Archibald, and Jens all join *completely unrelated* to using their service. Instead it is based on conviction: Jens joins from raising Morality, Lionel Utility, Archibald a combinatiom of Utility and Morality, and lastly Hossabara a combimation of Liberty and Utility. In fact, buying items with coin actually slowly raises liberty, so you actually cannot unlock Lionel from buying is stuff, even if you buy his entire stock.

    Fyi, if you cursor over a tile with no one on it and press "y" it shows turn order by placing a yellow number on each character. It also shows turn points each unit has. It's a really useful "at a glance" way of looking at turn order and turn points

    • @zimmerguyandross1936
      @zimmerguyandross1936 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is there a way to adjust turn orders? It's annoying how the turn order is always the same. It prevents us from fully customizing our strategy

    So, I found something quite interesting with the scales of conviction. Without spoiling anything; there are times when you unlock a piece of info (a third conversation choice) you would naturally think that the unlocked choice would be the correct one to prompt them to your cause, but this isn’t always so. Some of the conversations where there is an additional 3 choice split actually convince them with one of the top two choices and Not the one you unlocked. I thought this was clever and it took me a while to find the flow that worked best on different people.

    • @APyralis
      @APyralis ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea... this threw me and it is subtle but can be deduced (about the dialogue options). I found that some of the pre-loaded answers were more "in line" with what that character had presented themselves to be over what the unlocked options would sometimes bring up. I randomly took a chance and selected the pre-loaded once and totally convinced the character and thought "yea... that WOULD be how this works".
      I feel like this game is meant to be figured out to some degree, and they drop hints... its' not impossible, but they've done a good job of keeping it low-key... which I kind of enjoy.

    This one might be minor, but I'd kinda say 'don't sleep on Jens.' My path differs from others, I'm sure, but there are a lot of stages I've played where Jens and his tools and traps have been super useful in delaying enemies, especially the match against Avlora.

    6. Pay attention to the hints before every battle.
    - Items picked up during exploration (poison heal hints at a poison user)

    One thing I wish I knew was spending resources on upgrading weapons. You can only get so many iron, quality, or superior. Serenoa and Roland requires a ton of Superior Iron at the end to get their ults. 10 each, plus another 10 each for a tier 3 upgrade. I ended up using all of them before I was able to get their ults and there was no way to get anymore. The Merchant only had so many.
    As for promoting your characters, you can eventually get enough reputation from mock battles get medals for every character to get them to tier 3. So I wouldn't worry about running out of medals.

      To be fair. The events are easily scrollable with the left dpad/joycon buttons. Just press left or right and you automatically scroll through all available options.
      The Infos for the arguments during convictions are trickier. Just talk to everyone and then talk again to everyone.

      Well it has multiple endings and certain branching fights. There are also several characters locked to certain paths so you can't see everything in a single playthrough anyway.
      The 'best' ending requires making certain decisions.

    If not underlevel, normal mode difficulty is ok, only occasionally need to use items. But golden route can be hard because need to not trigger fire trap in town in a specific chapter... Have triggered fire trap once on first try. Not yet reach that in NG+ yet.

    Hey. I played the demo and really liked it. My question is , do the battles eventually become more plentiful? Or do you get the option to fight in battles that aren’t story related. I like the story but sometimes the gap between battles is a bit of slough

    • @grantcactus9973
      @grantcactus9973 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are mock battles at the encampment and that’s where you can go whenever, but I’d say the space between battles speeds up a little

    I noticed there are skills that can be learned after Lvl 10. If you promote the character before say learning a Lvl 13 skill say Eredors Physical Counter ability, will it lock it forever because you didn't learn it as the rank 1 job title or whatever?

    • @ricardodarcangelo2437
      @ricardodarcangelo2437 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe that the new skills from promotion only appear when you're in the connected class. I.e. you can't miss skills, if you promote later, and you're already past that level, you just get the ability. This actually isn't that relevant though, because you'll have more than enough to promote everyone to tier 2 with ease. Promoting to tier 3 is when you'll have to choose more carefully. And again, tier 3 skills only appear when in tier 3, so missing skills isn't possible

    If you create a new save file after each scale of conviction, can you theoretically go back play all the various battles you missed by (by persuading your party to vote differently from your first go-around)? I’m trying to avoid having to play through the entire game numerous times to see everything

    • @YourCrazyDolphin
      @YourCrazyDolphin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For early votes, probably. But later votes, you can only really get enough conviction to support voting 2 ways consistently. Undecided characters, while having lower requirements, do technically already lean to one end of the vote and you can fail to convince them with a bad argument or just really low conviction. But by your 2nd playthrough, this is almost certainly possible.

    When is the best time to promote units?
    I know in Fire Emblem it is recommended to wait until they hit max level so they learn their final class skill.

    Anyone know roughly how many battles are in the main story (so not including grinding, even though I'm sure I'd do that too) I can't seem to get a solid answer. I'm fine with dealing with the long winded cutscenes and dialogue everyone talks about if there is more than like, 10 battles. Thanks!

    • @YourCrazyDolphin
      @YourCrazyDolphin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      19~22, one story battle per chapter. As you get later in the game, cutscenes get more to the point, and you spend more time in exploration phase & voting.
      Plus the battles themselves get long, so even though it is a single event it will take just as long to get through as the story stuff.
