Delhi, India- a bustling, chaotic, beautiful city that's steeped in history. Delhi has a phenomenal street food culture and in this video we take you on a massive Indian street food tour of some of Delhi's best food. We get lost in the laneways of Old Delhi in an attempt to find a chaat stall renowned for using homemade ingredients and then hop across town to a famous local spot for chole bhature- deep fried bread served with chickpea curry. We wander on food to a popular masala chai (tea) stall and sip tea on the footpath before heading for some Mughlai food- changezi chicken from a restaurant we've heard does the city's best! What we ate and where we ate it:
1. Papdi chaat at Padam Chaat Corner, Kinari Bazar Rd, Kinari Bazar, Katra Shah N Shah, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi, Delhi 110006, India. Open Monday to Saturday 2:00pm to 7:30pm. N.B The gentleman initially tried to charge us 170 rupees for the plate of papdi chaat. We queried the price with him as did another customer and he then said it would be 70 rupees. If you eat here just be mindful that he might try and overcharge you!
2. Chole Bhature at Chache Di Hatti, D-33, Kamla Nagar, Delhi, 110007, India. Open Monday to Saturday 10:00am to 3:00pm.
3. Masala chai at Sudama Tea Stall, Prof ND Kapoor Marg, Delhi School Of Economics, University Enclave, Delhi, 110007, India. Open 7 days from 9:00am to 10:00pm.
4. Changezi chicken at Changezi Chicken Restaurant, E Park Rd, Block 69D, Dori Walan, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, Delhi 110055, India. Open 3:00pm to 11:30pm, closed Tuesday.

Broken record but so glad you hit up three popular places because I've seen many videos of these iconic spots but all from locals. Great to get a traveler's perspective.
*_Chole Bhature_* - I'm quite sure everyone is commenting on the chicken but I'm going straight for the chickpeas! That looked so delicious. I love chickpea curry and have it often. In fact, it's ridiculous but I think the chole bhature is my favorite meal you guys have had during this trip. Weird eh? The other videos I've seen featuring this resto did not have the separate lines for men and women. That was very interesting and thought-provoking indeed.

*_Padam Chaat Corner_* - BTW, I'm glad you pointed out that he tried to overcharge you by a significant amount. It happens. I've experienced more than a few overcharge, bill padding and short change attempts during my travels. Always research, be prepared and don't hesitate to question when you know something isn't right. One quickie - in Romania, a waiter tried to short change me quite a lot thinking I didn't know how to count lei (local currency). He delivered my bill. I looked at the amount and gave him a large-ish note. He returned with my change and I immediately noticed it was way short so I waved him back. I didn't say a word but simply opened the folder and spread out the lei. He kind of touched it and then instantly added the correct amount...on the spot...no discussion. I was so disappointed because prior to that, the experience was perfect. 😂
Gosh the chole bhature was special. It’s a dish I absolutely love so I made sure I got to do that one on camera. The crowds sure were there for a reason. I’ll be zipping right on back there next time we’re in Delhi. The separate line idea is something to see a bit in India at places like train stations etc. Sheena would often get through security a lot quicker than me! Thanks for watching this one. The chickpea curry and fried bread looked fabulous. Ridiculously cheap for $0.85 USD. The chicken had such a bright and thick gravy. You guys are making me want to jump on a plane and fly to India.

It's one google search no need of guide and you can use Google Map India is not some isolated country and you can collaborate with lots of food bloggers and youtubers I assure you you ask for one there will be five 😜
Hi guys, yep Google maps is great! Sometimes it's hard with the location of food stalls and the random as directions you get. Like in this video! Hi mate, we don't really believe a rating tells our audience much. Our videos are about some of the best food you can find in a city- a tonne of research goes into where and what to film and most of the time the food is always top notch. Although if we don't enjoy something we will always say. Good food for us is about the atmosphere, the people you deal with, the smells and the sounds as much as it is about amazing flavours so we try and give our audience as much info in that regard as possible. Our emotional response and the level of explanation we go into is our rating really. We reckon just putting a number is meaningless when the audience isn't aware of what sort of 'system' of measurement you're using. Hope that explains why we don't believe in using one. Why so much oil? Lot of these curries I feel don’t need that much oil. I also noticed this on Nihari Roti episode. Oil was literally dripping when the roti was scooped out of the gravy 😰😰

How do you handle Delhi. I am from eastern part of India and some of my past experiences in Delhi were ruined by mobile theft from railway . What precautions you take to avoid any scam or any undesirable event. I have been to all the metros and most of the big cities, but Delhi is at different level. Mumbai was another city where my wallet was stolen. No other event of pickpocket ever happened with me in other parts of India.
Hi mate, urgh that sucks big time! We haven’t had any trouble in Delhi or Mumbai luckily- we don’t have our phones out too often and always keep it in our bags which we wear on our fronts.
