It was the only way a lot of us had to prepare for prerelease, and it's a shame no one makes that kind of in depth content anymore. Most channels only cover the best archtypes or the good cards.
This is easy: take out a Mountain to keep Squee. Especially if you upgrade the mana rocks, no way this deck needs 40 lands. Even with the others you cut, you're still at 37 lands, which is fine -- especially since now you have a recurrent card draw engine to help you get them.
Ooh, I like the Hazoret's Monument and Skirge Familiar, I hadn't noticed those before. I dont agree with dropping Squee though, the fact tha he comes back to your hand every turn means that you can just discard him to Anje to draw a card freely.
@@BudgetMTGDecks But yeah, I've decided I want to split the deck in 2. Most of the deck is staying with Anje and building on the discard/madness theme. And then splitting the rest off into a Greven voltron deck, so thats where the reanimation cards are going.

I would keep all the madness cards except bloodhall priest, I would add Voldaren Pariah, bontu's and Hazoret's monument, combustable gearhulk, cut to ribbons, noxious gearhulk, archfiend of ifnir, and several others. I would take out k'rrik (because I dont like how degenerate he can be), greven (I dont think losing a creature and life to draw cards is great no matter how big he gets), geth (I despise mill), armillary sphere (it adds it to your hand and not the battlefield), mire in misery (it's just bad). Theres other stuff but I can't remember right now.

I’m doing perpetual time piece, shadow of the grave, garna the blood flame, inverter of truth, and bag of holding. Each of them lets you return your grave to your hand or deck and lets you rummage through your deck again and again. Pay off cards are glint horn buccaneer, faith of the devoted, bone miser, arch fiend of ifnir, flame blade adept, molten vortex, and tectonic reformation. Last three are the fun ones. Flame blade is just a 2 drop with menace that can one shot someone with this deck. Molten vortex turns your lands into shocks and tectonic reformation gives all your lands cycling. Every other card is just gonna be madness cards. Doesnt matter if it’s actually a good madness card you’re just gonna keep tapping and untapping anje looking for a payoff card or hitting one of the cards that will let you do it all again.
IN: Call the bloodlline, 1B enchantment that makes 1/1 lifelink tokens + Final parting: 3BB sorcery that let you search for Squee (who then goes to the graveyard) and a good card in your hand like Tomb Robber, Gutterbones, Neheb Dreadhorde champoin, Reckless Wurm, Rotting Regisaur, Glint-horn buccaneer, Archfiend of Ifnr or Eternal Taskmaster + Desecrated Tomb 3C artifact + Open the graves 3BB enchantment + Gruesome menagerie 3BB sorcery, Hazoret's Monument 3C artifact OUT: Greven Predator Captain, Ob Nixilis, Bloodhall priest, Flayer of the Hatebound, Anje's ravager, Aeon engine, Avacyn's judgment, Magnus of the wheel, Wildfire devils, Doomed necromancer, Malevolent whispers, Zombie infestation, Bloodthirsty blade, Meteor golem ....
I didn't get it so I wanted to make sure of this... What happens if you discard a card with madness and let say there were sorceries or instants with madness that you cast this way... Then at the end of the turn you play Shadow of the Grave, will you also return the cards with madness that you actually played ?
can i ask someone a question? cant we use anje to throw cards into the gy and bring them back cheaply and quickly? am i reading something wrong here? i guess the only issue is when you throw a huge creature into the GY it ends your discarding. can anyone also tell me some cheap cards both in price and mana to throw more things into the GY? an example being buried alive. thanks.
@@BudgetMTGDecks thank you for getting back to me. ransack the lab was a nice recommendation. do you know anymore off the top of your head? preferably cards that allow me to discard from hand? part of my strategy is to discard powerful creature and cheat them back and get the reanimate spells with anjes draw mechanic

You'd get rid of squee? If you don't have any madness cards to play you can discard him and draw a card for free and if you have enough madness cards you can just choose to leave him out of play until you want to pick him up again

Yes i agree. Squee seems to be one of the best cards in this deck because hes just free draws in rackdos combined with anje.

Yes, cards you cast for their Madness cost are also discarded.
