- Schumann's Widmung -- part of a collection of songs which Robert Schumann composed and gave to his beloved Clara as a wedding gift. Franz Liszt later transcribed it for solo piano.
English text:
You my soul, you my heart,

for me, Vlassenko's playing of this is the BEST of anyone. I like this also but it gets a little too showy and looses the intimacy in the last section.
Try to sing it and understand the words it will help for your interpretation.
Why is this song sounded blue and sad?
Most of the beautiful music that's been written is at least somewhat sad, and most sad things at least somewhat beautiful
@@junlukefoster4683 True but this was a love song to Clara, his wife, written especially for her. I don't find it sad at all. I hear love and tenderness. Robert and Clara loved each other very, very much.
@@lovevivaldi They had to endure many hardships, waiting and criticism before they got married. The lyrics also say "you are my pain."
